Yeah its a nice feeling to see your countymen in strange lands. I was once walking down the street in a place called Chang Mai in Northern Thailand with a group of English/Kiwi/German backpackers - next thing a taxi passes us by with a group of lads in the green and gold hollering and shouting at me. The rest of group didn't have a clue what was going on, so I told them I was a bit of a tv personality in Ireland and the lads were obviously fans haha very good 😂 Question for ye lads, does there come a time when a fella can get too old to ware jerseys? You're never too old, So long as the Jersey still fits

I know a couple of crowds do replicas but one is the wrong shade or green/yellow and the other just doesn't look enough like it. Shame they are so rare these days Yeah that one is very hard to find, The away version of that jersey in Navy is class too. The 97 jersey I got is pretty good, decent fit .. I dont remember the away Adidas one,any chance you could put up a picture,in my head it must have been very nice

My dad gave me his programmes horse. 70s and 80s.. absolutely fantastic Ah they're a differant gravy, I've a load of 70's to recent and a few mid 50 Munster final .. there's something special about them, only marginally bettered by old team photographs. If I start a thread would ye be interested in putting up pictures of programs and or jerseys ye have, I've started a thing of collecting club jerseys recently.

I think it was only worn once against Meath in a league quarter final or semi final in Limerick, in 1999. For some reason I can't copy the links to sportsfile, just google Kerry v Meath 1999 and go to images.

Beautiful Jersey Keane. The simplicity of it, working with the beautiful old round tower and wolfhound crest we used to have, compared to the Mayo designed, substandard, un-gaa like one we have at present.

On the topic of GAA jerseys, is there anyone willing to part with one of the Adidas jerseys? I'd be willing to pay well and could put up a Millfield jersey against it also. Anyone selling any of the older stuff give me a PM. PM sent

Looking at team selections...especially minor teams..... on old programmes is something that i find interesting....including the opposition.

That GAA Revive Retro Crowd on Instagram do a replica of that jersey, got one last year. Its very good except on the actual jersey you get the Kerry crest looks fairly fake.
Its a pity they couldn't do the right colours for the home version.

I'm guessing most of the 2001 white jersey are burned. You would think so but no, almost inevitably at a big championship game you'll see someone wearing one of them. The Huddle Bar in Tralee has one framed on the wall too, God knows why!

I think the Juniors wear it against Meath as well in i think maybe 03. Only other time i can remember it being used was in the league against Meath in i think 02. So it was maybe only used 4/5 times. Can't recall the hurlers ever using it but i'm sure they would have played Meath at some point during that time.

Always reminded me of the Ireland Compromise Rules jersey v Australia, circa 2005 - 2010. It was a beautiful jersey, ruined by one game sadly.

I have bought almost all of the jerseys excluding the last one. But I never got the 2001 version and never will. It is toxic in my mind.
Looking at it makes me queasy...nearly as bad as 1982...nearly.

I dislike the photos of the new jersey but in person it's not as bad as I initially believed. Still meh. However, that new goalkeeper jersey is sweet but O'Neills are still trying to flog off the last jersey on the website.

Just putting it out there again, anyone with any Kerry jerseys with the old crest and willing to part with them. Send me a direct message. Hello! A.N.Other, hope your well man. May not be what your looking for, but check out Ògra retro jersey's, I purchased a Millfield 1995 style green and gold with the old crest and polyester collar a few weeks back with the number 15 on it, for Maurice Fitzgerald, Although the old crest on it, is slightly over-proportionalised, the material is lighter, the watermark is different and the number is non velvet hot pressed, I was impressed overall with it. I just thought I'd let you know, probably not what you are looking for, for €40, excellent value, thry do nearly all counties, particularly from the 80's to mid 90's. I'm looking for an actual Kerry jersey myself, two types, their beautiful silk jersey from 1985 - 1987, that's my favourite of all time, I woukd be willing to pay any money for that, secondly their yellow shoulder capped first Kerry Co-Op jersey, silk as well, from 1988 - 1994, long sleeved, I'd offer any money for that, if anyone has one to sell, 1988 Kerry crest version, not the generic, bland, mayo designed obscenity crest we have nowadays. Than you.

I have picked up quite a few over the last year or so but they seem to have gotten scarce again. I’ve picked some up on charity shops and off websites like Adverts and eBay too.

Well I came across a post on Instagram last night, The Kerry Adidas 1998 Jersey, original, excellent condition, Size Medium Bids start Sunday at 200 euro! If it's an original and in good condition it will make above €300, if player issue more. Was watching a early 90's short sleeved recently, the bids were heading for over €400. The seller was contacted direct to sell for €550. The shirt was withdrawn that evening. She was a player issue.
