New Kerry jersey out this year. Anyone know when it’s out. It’s every two years now instead of three I was in the Kerry shop recently and they were expecting it in February, which I found to be odd as we have our first league game before then

Yeah its usually Feb, they brought out that lime green and blue monstrosity just before Covid hit in Feb 2020!
I won't be buying the new home one anyway as I can't see how Galvin's 2018 version could be bested anytime soon.
But I hope to Christ they come up with a decent away one, Galvin's Black and Tans effort was pure marmite.

You'd wonder why they wouldn't have had it out for the Christmas market. Galvins jersey was class and will be hard to beat. The last one was awful and it's the first one I didn't buy. I actually picked up some nice retro versions of an early 1980s jersey and the 1997 jersey.

How I'd love to find a large 98 Adidas one. Got it at the time but I'm a little bigger than when I was a young teenager and it's caked in paint stains and whatever else.

I know a couple of crowds do replicas but one is the wrong shade or green/yellow and the other just doesn't look enough like it.
Shame they are so rare these days

Yeah it is Royal, that Revive Retros crowd did a nice version of it that I got last year. But, like I said, their version of the home doesn't have the proper shade of green, its much too dark.
The 2008 Navy one is like the 98 one and its one of my favorites.
Would you have many Kerry jerseys yourself?

My wife thinks I have a problem Hermit 😀 I've a suitcase full in the attic and I don't know how many hanging in the wardrobe. Both my daughters living in North East Meath had a Kerry Jersey on their cot in the Lourdes hospital when they were born. My eldest girl was in the ICU when she was first born and the Kerry jersey was on the drip beside the cot. Jack McCartney was working in the hospital and came down for a chat after he saw the jersey. Lovely lad really genuinely nice guy who asked when our these Kerry young lads coming and I assured him it wouldn't be long.. hopefully it's not much longer.

Great to hear all that but hopefully McCartney stays away from Dublin!! I've five nieces/nephews and the first baby present was always the Green and Gold - alas so far none of them have developed much interest in the GAA but I suppose Kildare aren't going too well and I don't think Bristol was ever a great GAA stronghold I'd have a fair few Kerry jerseys gathered together at this stage. I think I must live near enough yourself at present so if you ever see a fella running around the streets in Kerry away jerseys say hello.

I sure will man there's not many up here its rare enough to see GAA jersey in Drogheda. So much so after the Tyrone game I just came straight up the road as I knew nobody would even mention it in the pub!

I try my best I know in time especially with the Meath Ladies going well ill be forced to get them Meath jerseys but I'm still in charge now. My 3 year old regularly shouts give it to Clifford as she knows it'll get a laugh out of her dad! Much to her mothers annoyance.

I've actually noticed a few people sporting Kerry gear in the couple of years I've been up here. But yes its not a GAA area at all. I must have peed off the Gods in a past life to be thrown into a place where if you asked would they put the GAA on in the pub they'd look like you asked to watch the cricket

You can't beat gaa collectors, there is some grà our there for certain products from differant era's.
I collect Gaa programmes myself, I have a few jerseys but the holy grail for me is a late 80's early 90's jersey - all recent productions even the Adidas 98 you speak of doesn't come close in my opinion.
Agree though, Paul's version is the nearest but pity it wasn't available in long sleeve. Some retro's are nice but as Hermit alluded to, the shading is out.
Still the late 80's early 90's for me was a class apart.

After the Tyrone game I sat in Barlows formally the railway tavern a great sports pub, I think I got one comment!

Anyone have a 1970 Munster Final (football) programme? An avid collector friend of mine is missing that one.

I'm brand new to this forum, a Kerryman exiled up in Mayo since 2003!! 19 years, I want to come home, even Andy Defrain in film Shawshank Redemption, got parole quicker!! So, like an intelligence agent in a county that are fierce rivals to us, you can ask any info, anytime on them, as far as I can ascertain. I come down home every weekend and holiday time since, This forum is great and full of great posts from the best, our own Kerry folk. No substitution for intelligence. Thank you Moderator and hello! To all the Kerry comrades on here. Happy New Year to you all in 2022.
Will be interesting to see the new Kerry jersey for 2022. The current insignia is a lame design attacked by a badger with it's claw marks. A truly dreadful design, the worst jersey since the baggy stale induced coloured production of our 2006 attempt.
From my own art & design / fashion design background, Galvin's simplistic and retro version of the green and gold a few seasons back, was the best since the Millfield type from the mid 1990's, still Paul cannot claim that design, Chelsea football club and Bayern Munich were using identical shoulder, three stripe types as far back as 2011, Paul was heavily influenced by designs, he did not reinvent the wheel with that lovely Kerry jersey a few season's back.
