Control, there is a poster active in several threads called "parishpat" clearly intent on posting nothing but nonsense on the forum. Not being a busybody, but it just makes it annoying for people who want real discussion. What did he/she say? To be fair you seem to be overreacting somewhat? And if you hit the options button next to the like button, you can report specific posts...privately!!!! Fair enough, didn't know that...ah just sick of idiots talking nonsense. If it was funny I wouldn't mind that much!

Any good reason why certain posts can be viewed if you access the forum using androids and iPhones etc, but can't be seen at all if you go online with your PC/laptop?
The dreaded "THIS POST IS PENDING APPROVAL BY STAFF" message is what I'm talking about.
Bloody annoying at this stage!

I agree with screening posts for new members but it is annoying to see it on PCs but not mobile devices.

I'm one of the 'new' members & agree with you Annascaultilidie when you agree 'bout screening posts for new members, but it doesn't do much for the feeling of being a member of the forum when you look at your efforts many, many, many hours later with what diego calls the dreaded "THIS POST IS PENDING APPROVAL BY STAFF" message. I 'spose staff are scarce and busy and are doing their best. You probably won't be able to read this anyway cos THIS POST IS PENDING APPROVAL BY STAFF.

I forgot all about this feature, its why I stopped posting years ago, I'd be an occasional poster at the best of times and it just annoyed me that you could get 'promoted' posting inane drivel quicker than considered contribution to the occasional thread that interested you. Anyway, maybe in a few years time I'll have clocked up the required quota

In relation to the above, how long before a new member can just post an opinion. As it stands if you make an observation or a point that is pertinent to the ongoing conversation it is hours before your post appears and so you cant engage in an interesting exchange of views,,

Adidas stayed supplying gear to Kerry for a long time despite not being able to display the logo. Usually there was a big 'G' for Guaranteed Irish on it. The jersey Kerry wore from 1988 to 1992 or so was recognisably an Adidas jersey.:
Does anyone know were I could get this vintage jersey, I have tried Adidas and even the county board, now and again some appear on ebay but never last too long, I know Retro GAA do the 1939, 59, 79 and the 1981 Jersey. But can anyone shed any light on the topic?

For anyone looking for the ultimate in match recordings, Radio Kerry is the place to go as you have Weeshie & Co with the RTE Video, and a good few games are on there, although not this years.
There is also fewer interruptions over The Internet!

Had to spend half an hour deleting all the rubbish on here. Posters have to decide if they want this forum to continue or not. This tat for tat nonsense will not be tolerated by the county board and the forum will be shut down. Have no doubt about that. Probably time to tidy up a lot of the dead wood here that use the forum for settling scores and abusing other members. I don't see the majority should be denied the brilliant reports and contributions that some members put time and effort into putting together.

I have just changed the settings so that users that are 'On probation' are now restricted from starting new threads so hopefully this should ease the spam problem.
PM me if there are any issues.

How long does it take to have posts approved by staff? And how many posts do you have to make before you no longer need approval? You need a minimum of 25 posts before you don't need approval.

I have posted 16 times and my recent post - 2 days ago - still awaiting approval. Prior to that my post took 3 days , yes 3 days , to be approved. New member - good luck to him - Tyronehiggins has post immediately posted. Talk about " bending over backwards " to be seen to be fair . What's the story with me ? ............ Sorry if i missed a post. We dont get a warning when an unapproved post goes up. As I come accross them i approve them. If you have an undue delay PM me as i dont trawl through every thread every day

What happened that the site was down for a few days? Boards.ie was down as well so thought maybe it was related somehow if that's even possible.

This form now seems to freeze every 10 seconds to allow various ads or something to be updated. I get a message on the bottom left of my screen about updating and cannot type or move the cursor or close the page. Anyone else have this problem? No issue like that here so far anyway

Windows 10 is creating havoc out there but I have also noticed a pattern to when my PC starts misbehaving, and it wouldn't be unrelated to stances I have taken on a few issues.
In general I would advice people to be extra careful with personal data these days as there are Apps available that can find out more about your business than you know yourself, young geeks getting a thrill although more sinister entities use the Apps for more, well sinister reasons. I know of a laddo who can get data from your PC with his eyes closed, he has broken passwords for me, legit ones that is, where I forgot my own password, those who wrote the software couldn't/wouldn't do it!

Hi there,
As a newcomer to this Board and as a user of other sports forums elsewhere, I understand the probation rule. But what is the process for approving" messages from probationers? I posted my first comment about a week ago and it is still awaiting approval. It makes it hard for newcomers to engage in threads if that kind of lead-time is the norm.

Hi,
There should be a post somewhere on this thread about it. If a post hasn't been approved in 24 hours send a pm to me or Control5. We dont get any notifications when a post is reported or needs to be approved. We do however when we get a pm. So if we get a pm about it we know to approve it.
Also usually if a poster checks out (ie email address etc) i remove the probation lock (tats just me personally)

I had posted in a thread a week ago regarding links for videos, and it still says my posts are "Pending Approval by Staff". Any reason for this? Read the post two up.
