Minor quibble but I don't think\know if you can fix it... on the mobile when you open the General Board the page numbers of the threads don't display. This means that you have to click into the thread and then go to the last page which is (a little) more work than on a laptop where the page numbers are shown on the General Board. Had a look into it. I don't think that can be fixed.

Maybe this has changed with the new format, but it doesn't look like it - you're reading a thread, and you want to post something. You have to log in, but after logging in, you are redirected to the forum main page. I know that from other sites it's possible to be redirected to the thread you wanted to post in, straight to the dialogue box to type your post. Now you may say, "log in when you open the site", which would be fine, and is what you have to do with many sites/forums, but here's the other problem - if you log in here, but don't post anything almost immediately, you are forced to log in again. And thus to rub it in you end up back at the forums main page. This is very irritating. And if I'm not mistaken it's also the case that if you post something and then don't post again almost straight away you also get logged out I have tested this and I don't experience any of the issues you have. Unless it was temporary proboard issue, it sounds like maybe you have a browser issues - maybe you are not allowing cookies or have a above-standard security setting? If I tick the 'Remember Me' box when logging in, I am permanently logged in. I don't get kicked out for not posting regularly. I have to click Log Out. Also, if I am logged out, and am reading a thread want to post something, after logging in, I am redirected to the exact thread and the page I was on previously.

Ah lads this new format is doing my head in .... Why change for change's sake ? If it ain't broke .... Don't fix it ... Brig back our old forum format please Just to confirm, this is not a Kerry GAA driven upgrade. The forum platform is provided by ProBoards who host the largest free forum community on the internet, handling over 16 million visitors every month on their systems. They regularly upgrade their forum provision at a functional and system level - with version 1 in 2000, v2 2002, v3 2003, v4 2005, v4.5 2008 and now version 5 this year. I doubt they make change for change sake. You can learn more about ProBoards and their reasons for upgrade here: proboards.com/about

My difficulty with change my reflect my age but the old format seemed to work fine. Why give a face lift to a winning formula. Where is spell check in this new fandango? For info on the facelift, see my other post and visit proboards.com/about. For spellcheck, there is now a new spellcheck button when posting. Let us know of any other feedback.

Thank God for ProBoards updating their forums this week. Or else there would be nothing to comment on - 5 pages on the Kerry Tipp game last weekend and 2 so far on Kerrys next championship game! The update of the forum couldn't have happened during a better week. The text, lack of numbering on the individual posts and the Nintendo Wii-esque member pics take getting used to. Could you expand on what you mean by the text and lack of numbering on the individual posts? For the member pics, you can choose not to display these. Go to 'Profile' -> Edit -> Settings and turn off displaying them.

Any way of turning off those pop advertisements? They are driving me stupid!.. Do you mean the banner ads at the top, or are you getting popups windows? I am only aware of the banner ads, so I am wondering if you have some other issue causing popups. Anyone else getting popups?

Sorry but Ya those banner ads.. They can be removed for a fee per month/year, but I never thought they were that intrusive? They are easy to ignore I thought. Anyone can pay for their removal via the link at the bottom of every page, 'Make ad-free'

I didn't think the new forum is a massive leap away from the old format.

Admin, i posted yesterday or the day before in the Development squads thread and it has been deleted along with a few other posts...if it was due to the 1 sentence commenting on the moderation then surely the rest of the post (which was about football issues) should be allowed to stand?

However there was no statement from Control communicating with the thread users explaining exactly why the posts were deleted (considering that my complaint was deleted too). I still think that thread is an absolute landmine considering all the coverage of online bullying etc. and I am not sure if I would be happy having a relation of mine discussed on it. It would be a fine thread if no players were named. I recognise that forum administration should be a dictatorship but also believe further action --- be it a communication or more --- is required on that thread.

To stand by and do nothing when in a position of power makes you culpable also "control", pretty shoddy the way ye have acted recently on the matter mentioned above.

Something needs to be done about this spamming by websites to show games. It has the forum ruined every weekend.

Yes, the county championship thread seems to have disappeared. Sorry, yes, looking back over logs, it looks like it was accidentally removed early this morning in the middle of a cleanup of dozens of spam threads. An unfortunate error when addressing the spamming.

can someone help the overseas supporters ? where do you find the up to date county league tables ? Go to the main site. Click on Results. Click on Kerry (next to Last 7 Days). Select competition e.g. Credit Union Senior Football League Division 1. You then see the latest result with a league table button on top right.

Hi Control,
Just to make you aware but usually when I click on the "new" button next to a thread, it brings me to the last post I read in that thread. Now however when I click on this button I find that it brings me to the top of the last page I was on. can this be addressed please?
Thanks, Ruralgaa

Control, there is a poster active in several threads called "parishpat" clearly intent on posting nothing but nonsense on the forum. Not being a busybody, but it just makes it annoying for people who want real discussion.

And if you hit the options button next to the like button, you can report specific posts...privately!!!!
