Hi All,
Can you all please keep any articles or newspaper features you post up in the thread specifically for news paper articles or even in the match thread. We dont want a new thread for every article in the paper.
The forum gets too cluttered with a thread for all articles. And can you please check that a similar thread does not already exist before you create one.
Cheers,
Control3

OK, firstly, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this. Secondly, I'm not here to tell you Kerry folk how to run your forum Well, I've not been a member long, but I've enjoyed the craic with you Kerry folk (and those from everywhere else). It's great to see the GAA alive and well in the Kingdom (when was it ever not, I suppose?!), and the banter (and arguments) among the fans from all over Ireland. However, can I suggest a few extra main title threads, eg - Kerry GAA, Munster GAA, General GAA, Other Sports etc etc. You get the drift. Sometimes I come on here after a day or two's absence, and theres been so many posts on threads, its hard to keep track, especially as the vast majority are under the 'General Board' thread. Just a suggestion, so don't shoot me! ;D

We like to keep everything thats topical in the one place. We don't want people to have to click all over the shop just to view threads. If a story or thread is popular it will be at the top of the pile. If not it will sink down through the pages.
As for an other sports thread. Not very likely seeing as the county board support and pay for the website and message board. Dont think they would take too kindly to us devoting web space on their own forum to their competitors

Hi Sully,
I sent you a pm a few weeks ago on the subject. Log into your account as normal. Then click on profile at the top under where it says your username and number of messages etc. The click on modify profile link.
There is a password textbox and a confirm password textbox. Enter your new password in there. And click on submit/modify. Your new password will then be active.
Cheers, Control 3

In the light of the breach of security of the GAA membership database, I hope the membership details for this forum are well encrypted!!!

someone using the name geniefarrell joined two days ago and for every good post, there were three that broke all the rules regarding being fair and some were totally out of order etc. That member has been banned.

Have not posted in a while. Logged on yesterday on my android phone only to be prompted to purchase a proboards app. Assumed that this would give me an android friendly version of the forum, with notifications etc. No such luck, this forum is nowhere to be found on the proboards app. Have i been had? Will I ever see my €2 again?

First I will admit that I'm not the greatest at spelling in the world (or the best at typing) nor I'm I too pedantic.
But as a New Years resolution, can I please point out this, as loose and lose crop up everyday on this forum!
LOOSE - adjective, loos·er, loos·est, adverb, verb loosed, loos·ing. adjective 1. free or released from fastening or attachment: a loose end. 2. free from anything that binds or restrains; unfettered: loose cats prowling around in alleyways at night. 3. uncombined, as a chemical element. 4. not bound together: to wear one's hair loose. 5. not put up in a package or other container: loose mushrooms.
LOSE
verb, lost, los·ing. verb (used with object) 1. to come to be without (something in one's possession or care), through accident, theft, etc., so that there is little or no prospect of recovery: I'm sure I've merely misplaced my hat, not lost it. 2. to fail inadvertently to retain (something) in such a way that it cannot be immediately recovered: I just lost a dime under this sofa. 3. to suffer the deprivation of: to lose one's job; to lose one's life. 4. to be bereaved of by death: to lose a sister. 5. to fail to keep, preserve, or maintain: to lose one's balance; to lose one's figure.
Happy New Year

Control have I missed out on some prior message perhaps but I was wondering how come the number of post I enter doesn't change anymore - I appear to be stuck on 657 even though I continue to add new posts
Have you stopped tracking this automatically etc and measuring membership category?

Control, there was a thread congratulating JJ Hanrahan from Currow on his performance in South Africa with the U-20 rugby team which, unless I'm mad, has disappeared?? Surely there was nothing inappropriate about that thread?

This is what a comma looks like , and this is a full stop .
Can we encourage their use please ? I find some posts difficult to read without them.
