Not sure of the rangers team joan maybe someone could post it up. All i know is that there was one three from ballyd two from ballylong and the rest from beale and tarbert. Thats a poor team for east kerry tom, that wont win a county champ were they giving players a run out as they were always going to win the game or what?

I think its a strong enough side if you put Niall Mahoney and Donald Sullivan into it. Half Back Line is strong. Lawlor is a good player but not the quickest. Haven'y seen Paul Favier play much lately but he was class in Glenflesks dominant patch and Danny O Connor is an excellent young back. I'd have Mahoney on that team ahead of any other forward but your man doesn't seem to rate him. 1-7/8/9 and 1-7/8/9 against the 2 favourites for the under 21 in east kerry championship from midfield and centre forward marking county backs would tell you otherwise but then again this is what is wrong in East Kerry. I'd fancy them to beat rangers or kilcummin but don't think they will win it out.

mitchels probably should have beaten milltown but were lucky that milltown didnt win it with a late free. Brendan O' Mahony and Ger Dan Dennehy big losses for mitchels

I was at the West Kerry game on Saturday evening and must say that the referee was a disgrace, and totally biased in favour of Feale Rangers. On the plus side, being an Annascaul supporter, at least we can now concentrate on Division 2 and the Intermediate Championship. And with 2 West Kerry finals (2005 C'ship, 2006 League) and the return of a number of key players (Bingo Driscoll, Fox Farrell) to look forward to, it could be a memorable year for the blue army. Annascaul Abu!

That was a good result by Mitchels ! Did'nt give them much of a chance going out to Miltown without Buns and Ger Dan, but as it turned out they probably should have one it ! With the Replay at home and Legion waiting in the last 16, there is massive incentive for them to win the next day !
I went back to the West Kerry and Feale Rgs game and thought it a fairly good game of football, even though it was hard to gauge what type of standard it was ! West Kerry had a couple of penalty claims alright, one of them, which was straight after the Feale Rgs goal looked blatant ! But I would'nt say the Ref robbed them ! They had chances to win it but did'nt take them ! One way or the other Feale Rgs were the better team, and if they can get more of their players back on board and do a bit of training, then they will give a good account of themselves against South Kerry !
The Laune Rgs and Kilcummin replay could again go either way ! Its there for the taking for Kilcummin, as the Laune appear to be struggling big time this year.
Enough has been said about the Shannon Rgs performance the last night, and I wont delve into it too much further, but surely, even without the Ballyduff contingent they should have had enough personal from the 5 other clubs to put up a better show than this !
The fixtures for the last 16 wer announced yestreday ! I dont think there up on the site yet ! The games are spread out betwen Thursday the 15th and Sunday the 18th !

Ballyduff left the Rangers down in a big way. I stood up for da duffers on another thread a few weeks ago but I am going the opposite way now. why do they always feel they have a grievance? Half the parish ran around Austin Stack park trying to kill the ref in front of 2,500 people after a county hurling semi final in tralee a few years ago over 2 players getting sent off late on. They were lucky 2 didnt walk in the 1st half. They have pulled players from the county senior hurling panel in recent years over percieved greivances & now Shannon Rangers in the football.
Did they deserve to make up half the Rangers team? Not on their display v Renard a few weeks ago. John Kennedy cant pick the side in June on the basis of form displayed in the NK championship in December.
anyway the way now seems to be cleared for the duffers to go chasing neilius flynn. i think they will win the hurling this year .
on another point had feale rangers only 17 players togged v West Kerry ? if so, the likes of this carry on is dragging the county championship into the mire. the premier competition in the county's premier sport & teams struggling to field!!

We hear nothing else from September to January except "North Kerry" football is the best around. When the North Kerry footballers get a chance in the county championship against the other players in the county why don't they take it?

How do ye think the game Friday night will go !
Its very hard to call again, but I think that home advantage will just shade it for Mitchels ! There is massive incentive for both sides, as Legion await in the last 16, so passage to the quater finals is very probable, which would mean that you are in the championship until around late September, if Kerry get to the All-Ireland final !
Whoever loses the next day will face a tough relegation game with either Laune Rgs or Killcummin, and with the IFC champions this year likely to be a fairly serious outfit, it possibly means whoever loses this game on Friday night will be playing with a divisional side next year !

Mitchels have buns and Ger dan back, what about Kelliher for M/C is he still suspended? Mitchels to win with home advantage whether he is there or not but he would make a difference

Ciaran Kelliher suspended. Mitchels do not have home advantage. Game on in Stacks Park. No advantage to mitchels

it would be good to see Mitchels shade it seen as they caused a huge shiock by holding and realisticlyshould have beaten the narries in the 1st game. Also eit their proposed new setup a team with them facilities should beaiming to be quarter, semi, finalists, winners.just out of interest who is than young ginga ninga that was brought on FF/Corner in the narries games, still a bit too light but is quite direct

Mitchels looked well beaten, but came back into the game and Milltown/Castlemaine ended up hanging on for their victory. Two poor teams in a poor game, but with an exciting finish.
Mitchells now must meet with the loser of the Kilcummin vs Laune Rangers replay in a "relegation" final.
As things stand, the loser of this "relegation" match will meet the intermediate champions in a "pre-championship" match next year. This idea is totally unsatisfactory, as Emmets found out to their cost this year .... it allows both teams to remain in the championship if the intermediate winners are beaten - but if the intermediate champions win, the losers have no football in either championship for the year. This daft system should be scrapped immediately.

very tight game but i think Kieran's ave that bit more experience to win. they'll win between 1-3 points. their run to the semi's two years ago should stand to em.

Kerins O'Rahillys - v - Rathmore Rahillys(rahillys shud be strong enuf...not by much though) St. Brendans - v - Austin Stacks Stacks easily enuf i reckon Dingle - v - An Ghaeltacht Gaeltacht(dingle being talked up way too much just because they had one good performance) St. Kierans - v - Mid Kerry St. Kierans...mid kerry are gone very poor Dr. Crokes - v - Kenmare crokes(closer than people think though) Legion - v - Milltown/C Draw...not a lot to say about these 2 teams Feale Rangers - v - South Kerry south kerry handy

Rahillys v Rathmore - will be a close affair, I can see Rahillys shading it but wouldnt rule out the draw. Brendans v Stacks - a local derby of sorts, the Brendans will be all out to beat the townies. Cant see it happening though. Dingle v Ghaeltacht - as last years meeting showed the Gaeltacht should be too strong. Kierans v Mid Kerry - Kierans with the Desmonds boys should be too strong. Crokes v Kenmare - Crokes by 5/6 Legion v Milltown/C - tough one to call but would go for Milltown by 2/3 points Feale v South - South Kerry pulling up
