My understanding was it was decided weeks ago before the Longford match that the Co Championship will not resume while Kerry are still involved in the championship.

I heard Mark Fitzgerald picked up a bad injury playing for Rahillys at the weekend. That is a big blow to their chances

Hi there, Just wanted to mention that a new GAA results service has been launched. It's called gaelicgames.in and we hope to cover all the results and fixtures in each and every county. Check out Kerry results at: www.gaelicgames.in/county_results.php?co=kerry

I think South Kerry will win again this year. They have too much talent in their squad.

I think South Kerry are good enough to win again but the loss of Stephen Sullivan will be massive and also Denis Shine O Sullivan cracked his cheek last week, he'll be out for a while and he's going to be a huge loss also.

Dont think south kerry will win it this year, they're after losing alot of their key men from last years winning team, 3 former all ireland winners will be missing namely Mossie Fitz, Steven Sullivan & Killian Burns thats a major loss in all fairness and as stated above Denis O Sullivan is out as well who was South Kerrys best player in last years championship. Fair enough saying they've talent but ur taking out the backbone who brought a wealth of experience to the younger lads. Crokes to lose i think

AIB County Senior Football Championship 2006! Post by dec on Today at 9:44
Well after all the hullabuloo... of the Inter County Action its "back to basics" this weekend..
Two replays being played dating back from jeez I don't know when... Winners will get through to the Quarters....
Gaeltacht V Dingle
East Kerry V Laune Rangers
Gaeltacht and Laune Rangers to make it in to the last eight in my view..
Must be really hard for the inter county players to get back in to the Local Championship after the efforts at a much higher stage recently!!
Who will win the Championship outright I wonder? An Gaeltacht and South Kerry are my favorites....
I think South Kerry will do it again this year to be honest. They are in the driving seat..and have just the greatest pick of talent I think.. Rahillys might be there or thereabouts too!!

The An Ghaeltacht/Dingle game is a replay but I don't think the East Kerry/Laune Rangers game was played yet.

Ghaeltacht to shade it ! Don't be surprised to see thisone go to extra time !
Laune Rgs should progress, if East Kerry are missing all the players Ambose said they would be on the radio ! Although they have quality minors and Under 21's to fill the void !
Quater final line up to look like this;
Dr Crokes V Miltown/Castlemaine
South Kerry V Laune Rgs
An Ghaeltacht V Mid Kerry
Kerins O' Rahilly's V St. Brendans
