Nameless co commentator's sensationalism to the fore...Over emphasising a few possessions from the M/C full forward into East Kerry fullback having a poor game. This was amongst a number of idiotic interferences with the real commentator. I have to say I thought ó Hanafín's replies to his foolishness were very funny...very witty and took the sting out of his clowning. Bit too much bar room banter..grand to be slagging fellas in private company but not when there's a watching audience. Also some of the criticism of players is a bit close to the bone. I'd agree with the above. The Clubber thing is positive overall and has been great for exiles and when you miss a game to be able to watch back. A major downside of it however has been inflicting this absolute dose on viewers. 99% of people know it and agree with it. Was only talking to a group of people this week about the good idea of a preview and review show for County championship - but unfortunately at the moment I along with many others just cannot stomach it because of the verbal diarrhoea one would be subjected to. I was at the Mid Kerry v Crokes game today but got texts from 3 people watching who said the commentary was a joke. The amount of errors being made and stupid comments being passed etc. It's a pity because this along with the incessant ads is spoiling clubber service which is good in most facets.

To be fair it's an excellent service.. I watched the recent Ardfert vs Castlegregory game with John Kennedy on analysis, the commentator was excellent, is he Aidan Leahy? They did a great job!!

There is only one in particular I would not be a fan of, but that is just my opinion, in general it is an excellent excellent service and we as a county are lucky to have it. If certain commentators are not to your liking, that is what the mute button is for.

Even at this remove , it is is hard not to get excited about a likely meeting of East Kerry and Dr. Crokes at some stage In the championship. Clubber TV or no, that is a clash which shouts “be there”.

I know you didn't say it is a 2 horse race but even if the teams you mention give us a great semi final there is no guarantee that either will win the final. I think if EK do meet Dr C. I would expect EK to come through.

Round 3 draw: Shannon Rangers v Rathmore in Castleisland next Saturday 4pm Kierans v Spa in Milltown next Saturday 3pm Milltown/Castlemaine v Dingle in Strand Road next Sunday at 2pm Mid Kerry v Kenmare in Lewis Road next Sunday at 3pm I predict, Rathmore, Kierans, Dingle and Mid Kerry to advance and join East Kerry, Crokes, Brendans and Templenoe. Agree on most, but MK v KS might be tight, with SOS motoring, he will be hard to stop, MK missed the experience of Breen last weekend, looked open at the back.

Lads in regards crowd size can I just add, the fact that it is all online sales now with tickets being €15 for double headers and €10 for single games for early round games (which will probably increase as we go deeper into the Championship) is on the steep side in my view €10 & €5 would be plenty in my view . Coupled with no Student or OAP concessions available is absolute madness by the county board and the crowds reflect that. To top it off a lot of games so far have been 1 sided.

I expect the crowds to return at that stage also, irrespective of Clubber. P.S. Talking about prospects, I believe Eddie Healy was helped off towards the end of the Feale Rangers game on Sunday. Fears it might be Achilles Tendon. Perhaps, Shannonsider/Southward might have more details. We are talking genuine prospect here. Hope all is well with you, Eddie.

Anyone think that the antics of 'the Pep of Gaelic managers' over a sideline ball incident on Sunday was way out of order? Wagging his finger at the linesman, and pointing up at the CLubber camera, even though they were winning by 7/8 well in to the 2nd half. Thought it was very embarrassing

I was very surprised to be able to pay at the gate for the first round double header in Killarney. I had searched for an link to buy tickets in advance but could find none. Student or OAP concessions should be standard for Co Championship games.

A lot will depend, as usual on the performance of SOS. I fancy a kenmare upset.

A fit Mike Breen is the key here, if he is available, a slight vote for Mid Kerry, however, if he is unavailable to mark Seanie... I like you fancy an upset..

He must be as fit as a fiddle to keep going as he does during matches, and how he doesn't lose his voice with all of the shouting is a mystery 🤔

What amazes me is the fact refs and linesmen allow his behaviour - I remember watching him when his side played Dingle during his last stint in charge and he was doing his best to ref the game from the sideline. Its his MO to rant and rave, roar and scream from the line as far as I can tell. Some call it passion, others see it differently. Reconcile that with the red card shown to a St Kierans mentor/official for some unheard comment he made to a linesman in their closely fought game against St Brendans. It highlights for me the inconsistency in how officials deal with different people and situations - its at an officials discretion how they deal with such situations but some people seem to get away with it regularly while others never do.

Lads was it not a great few weeks to play football , bar the odd game rained on, the playing fields have been in superb condition, hats off to all the grounds teams.
But the games going forward are going to see more challenging weather conditions, might play a part in games outcome.

He has been the same all his life - usually on the pitch, 5/10 yards in from the sideline - takes no notice of officials & constantly indulged. The worst I have witnessed with his behaviour was screaming at the ref in ASP following a clash between one of his players & an opponent- the sound of a breaking bone was sickening but all he was doing was calling for a red card - despicable carry on.

Kieran’s dug out a win, the need for a solid free taker was very evident in this match as spa missed 2 kickable frees in the home stretch to take it to extra time. The winners were well served by o Connell in MF, he has turned in a few solid performances last few weeks, but Philip o connor kicked 4 points, great return for a guy that had been in the periphery of the previous games. Kieran’s march on and will be a tough task for who ever they draw, the big challenge will be out again next week. Spa will be disappointed with their exit, but I think only themselves to blame especially when Kieran’s played with 14 men for a long period with sending off of Brosnan early second half.

I don't see great spectacles ahead of us today or sizeable crowds either with the weather that's in store today. Probably would have been the intelligent thing to have all 4 games played yesterday and get them all done in the dry day.
