The team doesn't need a rebuild. Most of the team is set in stone and picks itself really. Good age profile also so won't change much for 6 years. We definitely need a few young players though. Sad thing is there is nothing of worth coming through. Rob monahan was the one but no outstanding player to come in and start wing or corner forward or midfield. We might pick up another Dylan casey or a mike breen or just a decent inter county player but we need a superstar to compliment the Clifford’s. Worrying that we nearly have to rely on geaney and obrien again next season. I have to say I am still really annoyed over the whole Rob Monahan thing. He is big, lots of pace and a superb athlete and tough as nails from his Kilmoyley hurling background. He was the ideal wing forward going forward for Kerry. But like Mark O’ Connor and Tommy Walsh before him, Rob is leaving for the professional sporting life!

I might be pining for different times or showing my age but, do managers not mould players to fit specific specific positions or specific duties as required by the team any more? Micko converted Johnno & seanie walsh to full backs. Rounded out the rough edges on the bomber. Jack has previously converted Donaghy, gave Paul galvin a chance to fill a specific role for the team, moved Eoin Brosnan to centre back. Moved Eamonn Fitz to centre forward. I think he even tried Dara at centre back. Im not saying all these were successful but, we don't seem to try anything like this. We obviously have issues around the middle 8. Is there any players in the county that could be brought into the panel. They might not play as half forwards or even forwards with the club or underage but could be taught the role.

Happy to hear Jack's staying on, hope he can keep as much as the backroom together as possible.
As ever after a final (and I'm as bad as any Kerry supporter in this regard)we go a bit overboard and its all doom and gloom stuff, no squad depth, players not up to it, major rebuild needed. The reality is that of course we need to be pick up new blood year on year but we are serious contenders - have been since 2019. And arguably should have won every AI since then. We'll be bookies favourite most likely for 2024 and why wouldn't we be?
In saying all that we've left far too many titles behind us since the 2019 draw. We need to start winning the next 1,2,3. Players like Seanie, David etc should have 4-5 titles to there name as retirement looms.
