If it is a MTU Kerry Vs UL final, where would this be held? ASP or the Gaelic Grounds? Or a smaller venue (e.g., Rathkeale)? I know previously the Sigerson semis and finals were held over the same weekend but this arrangement is gone afaik.

I wonder how the Sigerson can be accommodated in the new split season. Doing away with the likes of the Mcgrath Cup would be a start I suppose. Play Sigerson off in January, start league first weekend in February. To fit in the league, the provincial championship, the 3 pool games, the QF, semi final and final in the by the end of July will, i think anyway, mean that the league will have to start in January. The club scene will have to be finished off by end of December i think and that includes the club all ireland in football. They may need to slot in the Sigerson before Christmas too.... The inter county league games are going to get a lot more important for many counties....those who have no guarantee of reaching the provincial final anyway will be taking them very seriously.

Too far to travel after work I'd say.

I wonder where MTUK vs NUIG will be held, I assume it won't be a county ground. I was thinking maybe somewhere like Rathkeale or maybe even Mallow.

Semi Final details:
MTUK VS NUIG - Thursday Feb 10th, Mick Neville Park Rathkeale @ 6pm
DCU VS UL - Thursday Feb 10th, Dr. Cullen Park Carlow @ 7.30pm
Should be two crackers, I'm predicting a MTUK vs UL final but it's hard to predict results at this level. MTUK were 66/1 to win it out at the start of the year and look where they are now

Does anyone know if these games will be streamed? To be confirmed it said. At least one will be, maybe not two? Electric Ireland have been doing streams with Oisin Langan and Mossie Quinn on comms. Excellent quality too.

Anyone know if the Kerry players still in Sigerson are 'released' to the colleges this week or are they required at Kerry training? Jack might be working out the time and distance from Rathkeale to Currans, but Clifford is off the hook Thursday!

I know its a week out, but the Sigerson Final is live on Tg4. It would be great to see a team with 14 players from Kerry starting, coming up against a team led by our best player, on national tv! Best of luck to MTU and UL tomorrow.

It takes about an hour to get from Rathkeale to Currans so if the IT Tralee games doesn't go to extra time there is no reason that Savage, Moynihan and Brosnan shouldn't make at least the last 10 minutes of training. Would show how dedicated they are and how much they want to play for Kerry!

According to the Electric Ireland Twitter account the MTU match isn’t being live steamed. Very disappointing especially after initially saying it would be.

Let's all just say a collective prayer that our lads come through this injury free and we see the back of this next week.

Mike Breen didn't start for MTUK this evening. They down 0-06 to 0-04 at halftime in a really poor game so far, Brosnan and Savage been pretty wasteful. Only 1 point from play through Tomás Ó Sé. Improvement needed in 2nd half big time

MTUK rallied well in the final 10 mins there. Extra time now and Savage nailed a free.

What a comeback.
0-11 to 0-11. 5 points in a row with a man less.
The game goes to Extra Time.
Savage nailed some serious scores late on

Gone to Extra time. They kicked 0-05 in the last 5 minutes. MTUK really relying on frees to keep them in it and the ref was definitely a bit generous with all the added time he allowed

Brilliant comeback after a very poor performance. Agree with the poster on Savage’s scores late on, very impressive, he really stepped up. The referee is giving a free for nearly everything which has benefited Tralee more than Galway with Tony Brosnan winning a lot of soft ones.
