The Sigerson is starting tomorrow. Always a good competition and loads of Kerry players involved. Looking at the panels, UL, DCU, NUIG, UCC and UUJ all look very strong. I’d be very surprised if the winner doesn’t come from that 5. MTU Kerry managed by Aidan O’Mahony have strong midfield and attacking options but are lacking in defence.

Just looking through the panels listed and UL seem very strong on paper this year just going by the Kerry contingent.
David Clifford and Donal O'Sullivan upfront with backs like Stefan Okunbor, McCarthy (Kenmare) and Powter from Cork seems like the spine of a really strong team. I suppose it all depends on availability and the work that has been put in but on paper a strong squad I think.

Apparently David Clifford scored a lovely goal this evening. Sligo IT getting a fair hammering by the looks of it. Non-Event: UL 4-15 IT Sligo 0-07 Clifford scores 1-05, Brosna’s Paul Walsh scored 2 goals off the bench, Donal O’Sullivan from Kilgarvan started at 15 and scored three points. The Kilgarvan man too is UL’s Vivek captain, I hope his displays are not going unnoticed by JOC. |

That must be our lowest amount of starters for ucc in a while i was looking at the UCC v MTUC squads, one time both teams be dominated kerry lads, the cork boys are coming thru , just wonder how Ricken is managing 60 players, nice to be nice, but he needs that whittled down fairly quickly. |

Tony Brosnan gone off injured for Tralee, that's disappointing. Would have been hoping he would get a run in the team across the McGrath Cup and National League well the McGrath cup final is Saturday or Sunday if Kerry get thru tonight, so looks like that’s out for Tony, kerry MTU, play again next Tuesday or wed depending on result today. |
