They'll need a bit of notice. To get enough stewards, like. You know!! Or maybe newbridge I'd say Thurles will host the hurling finals? The football is usually div 3-4 on the Saturday and div1-2 on the Sunday.

I was at that final and I thought Kildare and Galway played the div 2 final before our game, or was that a previous year? There all kinda melting in to 1 big blur at this stage, I can't remember a hurling match but I wouldnt have hung around for it anyway.

Thats right, I remember meeting a load of limerick and Waterford supporters coming out against us as we arrived at crokepark. It must have been 2017 so that Galway and kildare played the div2 final before our game with dublin.

So is it after the Tyrone match that we will know for sure the date and time of the league final or is it possible the gaa will confirm all before it?

Liathróidí of the year award goes to Jack McCarron. Last kick of the game. Miss and you're relegated....

Last time they got relegated was 1995. They won the all ireland that year (and every final they have been in since too which is incredible really).

Bizarre way to end a very entertaining game. Draw would have done Cork anyway, but if they didn't get that gift of a free I'd have fancied Offaly to get the winner up the other end with that last attack given the way the game was going. Cork had looked in big trouble when they fell behind with time nearly up, but a couple of cracking points by Brian Hurley and Cian Kiely saved the day for them.

I wonder if the Offaly keeper just collected the pass and charged out with it, would the ref have remembered the rule. It wasn't the most obvious back pass ever.

I read somewhere today that Monaghan now have, after Kerry, the longest continuous residence in Div 1 (Dublin having gone down). It's an incredible achievement by a county with a population that's hardly much more than Ballincollig. Puts the like of Cork and Meath to shame, really.

They won their last 3 finals by 6 points, 6 points and 5 points respectively. Can they win the 2022 title by a point.... thats the question now. The rest of the decade looks wide open. Interesting to look forward to the next 8 years of this decade.

Like London "town".

The corner back miscued the pass to the other defender. The keeper should have let it go out for a 45 but hindsight in a great thing. A full house of 15k for the Munster Final in a tight pitch might turn out interesting all the same. Glad Cork survived.

For a county of it's size, resources and its traditions, Cork scraping survival in Div 2 is beyond pathetic. I don't know how their supporters haven't burned down PUC at this stage.

They didn't support their footballers when they would routinely go deeper than the hurlers.

He kicked the winner at the end of extra time to beat Galway. I think he might actually have equalised the match in normal time too, to bring it to ET. Great strike under pressure, and got a great lobbed goal too.
