That they were. Dublin were good tho - massive workrate, all 13 scores from play, 8 different scorers. Fenton, Rock, Howard and Kilkenny looked fit and hungry. Murchan and James Mac looked fresh when introduced. Fitzsimons and Cooper enjoying the cut and thrust again. Add Con and they're in the mix. Bugler was good too. We knew they hadn't gone away.....

Tyrone have a testing end to the league with Mayo at home and Kerry away in Killarney and points being needed to remain in D1 - currently the 2021 AI champions and the 2020 AI champions occupy the bottom two spots in D1

Lads, what is going on over the border, it does us no good to have Cork going so badly. I can’t fathom what has gone wrong over there.

I mean the most basic of skills being made a hash of. Meath were similar and are also a pitiful shadow of former great teams, but cork were sooo much worse. Got it back to 3 and as fast you could say “langer”, they were down 10 and game over.

Its terrible whats going on with Cork.I agree a strong Cork means a strong Kerry.Players like Ruari Deane walked away which shows moral is nt good. Now the problem is deep because Keith Ricken is well liked in Cork circles to my knowledge. They have agood backbone of a team and had very good underage players.its mindboggling.

true the Dubs looked very good today and Costello McCarthy and Cooper all looked refreshed and hungry. When Con comes back they will be verystrong again. It could be a Kerry v Dublin all Ireland semi like 2013.

Could be wrong here, but since the "night of sorrow" in 2020, Cork have beaten only 1 team from a division above them! (Clare in this year's McGrath Cup 2-09 to 0-10) They're stuck in a rut. Limerick looked well like beating them in last year's Munster Minor Football final but for Cork bringing on 3 or 4 lads on (guys who, I'm told, are more committed to soccer than football) late to save the game.

I thought Cork had bottomed out but it looks like they haven't hit rock bottom yet.
I see young Grimes got a good goal, he's a big man.

I see Meehan is out for the season which is a big blow for Cork.
They were so poor in Navan.
We need a league final as Munster will be brutal.
Dublin were better yesterday however Tyrone were so bad that it's hard to know.
I was convinced they'd go down however they should beat Donegal as they are very poor too.
Away to Monaghan will be a huge game for them.

Cork are in big trouble, the free fall might not stop in div 3 , they just seem totally devoid of a game plan, as well as leadership, I think O rourke was brutal on assessment of cork but he might not be far wrong. I think they may have been to quick to discard the older players.

They will be packed with players who have done it when it counts. Will be a defining game for this team.

I can see alot of similarities with 2013 a young Dublin team against an aging Kerry team.

Cork stuffed again today. Sad to see at this stage. On the plus side, tickets to the Cork-Kerry game will be a lot easier to get than initially thought. A league final outing will garner more interest for Kerry fans, while only the bravest of Cork fans will show up and even then will be watching the game through their fingers.

Going into Round 7 its all to play for in most games with Kerry (D1) and Galway (D2) the only teams guaranteed final berths in their respective divisions.
Mathematically Kildare could make the league final or could be relegated depending on how the various games play out. However Mayo are probably in pole position to be our league final opponents. A Mayo loss opens the door for Armagh but if they also lose it could open the door for Kildare, Tyrone or Donegal. If two teams are on the same point its the head to head game that decides but if three are on the same points its scoring difference (I think).
On the relegation side Tyrone need a result in Killarney or they will join the loser of the Monaghan V Dublin game and Dublin seem more likely to win that one as their form is beginning to improve. All four D1 games have the same throw in time - Kerry fans can relax and enjoy the blood sport from the other fixtures.
As a previous poster says Cork need a draw or better to survive in D2 after their win today over Down - Down cannot avoid dropping to D3.

Hi Guys,
Does anybody know if the league final is definitely on Sunday 3rd or is it possible to be Saturday 2nd. For selfish reasons I'm hoping it's the Sunday but haven't seen it confirmed as such!
Thanks
