Donegal(league),sligo,dublin,tyrone,kerry(2) are the teams that won titles this year, they should make up the vast majority of the allstars.
kerry as munster and all-ireland champions have 7 or 8 players this year that merit allstars awards!

Can't see Kerry getting four of the six backs as per the odds above. Surely a Dub will get one the value bet being Barry Cahill.

If I was a gambling man I d have a tennar on Darren Fay at 10/1 Good call. Also Ross Donovan at 4/1 and Michael McNamara at 11/2 seeing that Sligo will surely get rewarded with one.

This from the hogan stand Footballer of the year Marc? Young player Killian?? These would be my guess... Kerry dominate footballer of the year awards 03 October 2007 Michael J Tierney, who is nominated for young footballer of the year, is the only non-Kerry man on what appears to be one sided shortlist for the GAA’s All Star adult and young footballer of the year. Marc O Se, Colm Cooper and Declan O’Sullivan are nominated for footballer of the year while Padraig Reidy and Killian Young are up for the young footballer of the year gong along with Laois’ Tierney. There will be disappointment in Cork that Nicholas Walsh, who looked the frontrunner for the award before having a poor All-Ireland final, hasn’t even been judged worthy of nomination. GAA All Star Footballer of the Year Nominees Colm Cooper (Kerry) Marc O Se (Kerry) Declan O’Sullivan (Kerry) GAA All Star Young Footballer of the Year Nominees Padraig Reidy (Kerry) Michael J Tierney (Laois)

Nicholas Walsh??? Typically lazy reporting from HoganStand. PS You forgot Killian Young in the YPOTY nominees.
I thought Shane O'Rourke was more deserving of a nomination that Tierney.

Proof that player of the year is between Marc and Gooch - both are nearly 1000 to 1 on whereas Declan is 500/1 on.

I reckon a few quid on Barry Cahill is worth a punt. He had an excellent year and Kerry will not get 4 defensive spots. He is also from Dublin

Team named this week with banquet on Friday. Does anyone know if the football or hurling team is named early this year or either? Normally one team is named on Wednesday with the other only announced on the night.

I think this year you will see it goes to a back, we all know they tend to normally go to a forward but I say its Marc.....

Mitch Kavanagh apart, I can't see any complaints with that team. It's a savage half back line.
The question I'd have for any Limerick people is - who would you drop?!

Seamus Hickey and Damien Reale had great years until the final and that's ultimately what cost them. Can't argue with that team. Foley is unlucky but Tony Browne was unreal this year.

I'd say it's a while since there was no Corkman on the all-star team. No harm!! Seriously though it looks fair enough. Kilkenny got 6 and I'd be very happy with a similar return for Kerry tomorrow night.

Ollie was inspirational all year, showed real leadership during the Tipp games and kept plugging away when all around lost their heads (Mark Foley apart), in the All Ireland final.
Eoin's form was good but erratic this year and was found missing for half of the drawn Cork game, for early parts of the replay and again during the early part of the Limerick game.

The one man I missed out on is Fitzhenry, I thought he was a lot better than Murray this year even if Murray did well. Otherwise, good team but I can assure you that won't happen with the football team!

that team looks politically selected,it tears the hole out of the allstars to be honest.
