Castle and Kenmane drew 1-06 to 0-09, Report on the match Castle played the first round of the division 3 Co. League Sunday last against Kenmare in Pairc an Caistlean at 2.30. After a poor West Kerry league narrowly losing all games by just a few points and the frustration of not being able to be the same team out in consecutive games left the castle lads egar to put it all behind them and start the Co. league off with a good start with a home win. Kenmare were first to score though with points in the 1st and 3rd min. Castle drew level in the 7th and 8th min with Brendan Lynch frees. Kenmare scored from play again in the 8th but castle drew level again in the 10th min. Castle went into the lead in the 15th but Kenmare were winning at half time with 2 more points from play in the 22nd and 24th min to leave the half time score 0-05 to 0-04. Castle started the 2nd half like they started the first with a point from a free from Brendan Lynch. A free kick in the 12th put castle in the lead. Kenmare were quick to respond with a goal from Kenmare full forward Hugh Murphy which made for a very interesting ending to the game. 5 min later Brendan Lynch pointed from another free and Kenmare pointed again in the 20th min. 2 points between the sides with 10 min to go. In the 24th Joe O Connor came up field to put a point between the sides and Captain Micheal O Shea equalized the game in the 25th min. Final score 1-06 to 0-09. Kenmare in the end will feel disappointed that if they had a better free taker that would have made to long journey home a little shorter with a win, but castle will be disappointed that they didn't convert a penalty chance and the fact that they were missing Colm O Connor through injury could also have win the game. Castle lined out as Shane Kenny, Adrian Finn, Joe Scully, Gavin O Connor, Colm Scilly, Joe O Connor, Ger Calaghane. Shane Hennessy, David Heasman, Brendan Lynch, Sean O Mahony, Micheal O Shea, J.B. Spillane, Breannainn O Neill, Enda Kelliher. Sean Moriarty replaced Ger Calaghane.

Thanks Admin. One more thing. On the web site we can only view Co.League tables back as far as 2003. Is it possible to view tables back further than that.

Great result for Tarbert yesterday. Legion didn't know what hit them. Tarbert played to their strengths with Ambrose Lanigan, Kieran Denihan, John O'Connell,Paddy Connell and Shaun McGinley outstanding. McGinley at full forward won every ball that came in to him and even tho he only scored a point from play was still one of the best players on the field.

Just for scooter .... {I was tempted to put Mitchels on top, but I suspect you'd rather see Tarbert!}

Another bad result for Lispole. Beale is no easy place to travel to but Lispole would wanna get a grip on things before they find themselves staring at division4 in the face! They got a fierce tough draw against Skellig Rangers in the Junior Championship it really is a make or break game for them. Geaney is rallying the Mitchells. Should add a bit of spice to his stag nite next weekend!! Ballymac are also darkhorses! When is the 1st round of the Junior Championship been played

Yea if a team looses its first 2 games it puts them under pressure straight away but that said there is a long year there. Mitchels flying under seanie geaney at the moment. Renard struggling with the step up and St. Pats the opposite in that they seem to be struggling to find form after coming down from division 2! A lot of very evenly matched teams in that division though!

Anyone know when the mitchels v ballymac game is on? Thinkin of taking bets on whether the game will finish or be abandoned due to yet more fighting between these teams....

lads it way too early to be talkin up any teams chances in div 3...just look at kenmare last year who won their first 4 games and still didnt get promoted...sayin dat though tarbert must be delighted with their start as everyone includin myself tipped them for relegation....think mitchels will be there or there abouts

Glenflesk defo to go up dis year some very exciting youngsters dis year on d team!Very young and fast forwards and an excellent young corner back!Last Sundays result was no reflection as d pitch was barely playable and Ballymac scored 1-02 n d last 5 mins!A very lucky goal with 3 mins to go from 50 yards and d Glenflesk heads went down!

Glenflesk with so many exciting young players must have done well in the East Kerry U21 Championship this year? I mean they haven't struggled to field teams at that age group in the last few years at all. Glenflesk are as good as finished when Moyno packs it in. They had their day in the sun with Seamus, Crowley, Mike Dunne and the Faviers, it will be a while before they scale those heights again.

Tarbert to bt Bmac Glenflesk to bt legion lispole bt castle beale bt pats mitchels bt kenamre renard bt valentia
The main one i am dodgy about is the glenflesk legion game. Legion could take them if their minds are on the job

Glenflesk to take Legion dont worry Paul Favier to mark Dave the wavebag Murphy out of it and Legion wil ave nothing up front without him scoring!!!!

They are playing Derek Pyne in the forwards now as well so they should have a little more scoring power.
