was talking to fella from tarbert and he said it was very good game of ball between two evenly matched average teams. a lot of mistakes by both sides with ballymac shooting letting them down its looking good for both the mitchels and tarbert as everyone else is taking points off eachother

i heard from a reliable source that the Tarbert/Ballymac game was dominated by the 2 sets of backs and Tarbert getting alot of 'home' town decisons be the referee. John O Connell was brilliant i heard.

It's not looking too good for the two teams that have come down from Division 2 last season. What makes it even more strange is that Ballymac were very unlucky to lose in the intermediate semi-final.
Mitchels should come out of this division. In fairness, any team that seriously believes that they should be in contention for the intermediate championship, should be able to gain promotion here, let alone play senior. Tarbert are flying at present, but you'd have to fancy Legion to join Mitchels in Division 2 next season.

tarbert are going good at the moment. but you have to remember they peaked too early last year and everything went wrong for them at business end of year. will the same happen this year. mitchels will def go up, one from tarbert, beale, legion and lispole to join them. if lispole can beat tarbert next weekend it will really open things up

bannerman how can you say that tarbert peaked too soon last year...
Won NK league granted it was early on in the year Only lost one of thier games in county league which was in march Lost to Ballyduff in replay in County junior which they shud ave won in tarbert and only for some brutal goalkeeping in replay they wud ave beaten them Again in NK champ they outplayed ballyduff in Ballylongford and shud ave won it only for some bad wides( and we all know wat Ballyduff did after that)

what medals and trophys are handed out in march and april and june, never mind the nk league that different. the point is tarbert lost the two most important games last year for whatever reason

From what I hear there was a mix up between the players and the management where the players thought the game was called off but it wasn't. Beal got the points alright

Thats shockin.that could really blow their chances of promotion, presume theres not much chance of beale offering a replay.

i doubt it very much. handy 2 points for them. They look good for promotion now.

Its all in Beale's hands now. they can only loose the league really. Beale should beat Mitchels with a few points to spare this weekend.
mitchels, legion, glenflesk, tarbert to fight it out for second place.

Someone in Tarbert should get a kick inthe ar*e for that mistake. County League points are hard enough to win beside giving them away.

agree, a lack of communication like this should never happen in this day & age. beale must have laughed all the way back down to Ballybunion.

wouldnt exactly say its all in beale hands now.a lot of the 'top' teams have to play each other which will more than likely result in a lot of teams nicking points off each other.this division with someting like 6 games left is still wide open

not too sure about beale getting points heard game was only fixed wednesday and tarbert had this wknd booked off for months due to a wedding presume it will go to a meeting of the county board...
|
|
|
Post by FootballFan on Jun 20, 2006 13:03:37 GMT
again this shows how ridiculous the whole thing is.the gaa is the only sporting organisation that would fix a game 3 days before hand and expect both sets of players in each club to be able to work to those arrangements
|
|
|
Post by scooter on Jun 20, 2006 14:38:38 GMT
if the game was only fixed on the wednesday then it will be an utter disgrace if beale get the points...and werent beale supposed to have played John Mitchels before they played tarbert neway.....
