The two lads commentating hadnt a clue who was on the pitch....so bad, the game was nearly over when one of them relaised Dara Moynihan was on the pitch - and he had come on at half time.

Yeah agree 100% about the co com in particular. Was like being in a bar watching a game and being forced to sit next to the local "character" and put up with their guff all match 🤣🤣🤣

The commentators were obviously looking at the field.and not the monitor because at one point they were struggling to identify a player, no 18 I think, who was in the centre of the screen, but it was better than not seeing the game at all.

Very worrying seeing Diarmuid O Connor being carried off. That's not good at all.
3 points in a half tells its own story.
God help me but the commentary is atrocious.

McGrath Cup turning into a bit of a disaster, also concerning seeing Jason on the deck as halftime whistle blew.
Mike Breen a solidarity chink of light so far.
I don't care what anyone says this sort of form is very worrying and the 15 on display are not too far away from what could be sent up to Ballybofee in a couple of weeks.

Clare defending with 15 but no excuse for the amount of turnovers in advanced positions in first half. Have breeze now so may be more direct ball.

Kerry can't get any return from the forwards at the moment, spilling ball and carrying the ball into the tackle. Very poor showing so far, they have the wind in the 2nd half though.

On a side note, would love to see Darragh Roche get a proper run in this Kerry team. When the ball goes to him it sticks and he never wastes it. Him and Clifford inside together are lethal. When things are going against a team you see who the men are and we saw it from Roche against Cork in the McGrath Cup when the Kerry team were all at sea he manned up.

Better 2nd half,
Clare will wonder how they didn't get anything from that game.
Roche, Brosnan, Barry Dan, Tom Sullivan, Foley,Breen all did well IMO.
Diarmuids injury very concerning.

Only 3 of that 15 have not played championship football for Kerry I reckon How did you come up with that number? I count seven of that team without championship experience. The same seven don't have league experience either. The seven are as follows: Jack O'Shea James McCarthy Cian Gammell Barry O'Sullivan Barry Mahony Ruairi Murphy Dara Roche Can you give us the championship-appearance details for any of the above players?

Wasn't in Tralee and didn't see online either, was following on Twitter but either way the reaction to Cork on Wednesday and worrying aspect to our play may be justified.
Reports on here regarding Diarmuid are alarming, what happened?
It's not an area we have a plethora of options with the age of DM despite how well he played today, and injuries to Joe O'Connor.
Who put the hands up today?

Who put the hands up today? It is hardly surprising that lots of aspects of the Cork game would repeat themselves here given the limited amount of time between the two games. At least, there were no goals conceded today.

Kerry were very slow for 55 minutes of this game. But when they clicked into gear they played their best stuff scoring 7 points in the last quarter. Subs made a big impact especially Ronan Buckley, Stefan Okunbor and Dara Roche. They really injected a bit of tempo in the 2nd half when it was needed. Tony Brosnan and Tom Sullivan were the pick of the starters and both along with Dara Roche played a big part in Kerry coming back. Killian Spillane was very poor today, he's at the stage where he needs to be challenging Paul Geaney for his championship 15 jersey but we'll see how his league goes but today be let himself down a bit. Not vintage from Kerry but we'll take the win when we probably didn't deserve it. McGrath Cup is over for us so our next outing is in 3 weeks away to Donegal in the League 1st round where we've alot to do if we'll get any sort of result out of.

Ideally Killian would have a good league but he has shown his temperament for the big occasion previously and has rarely played well in the league.

If you are looking at a 2 man inside line for the championship to go alongside Clifford, look at the difference between Tony and Killian. Tony stood up and showed leadership. Kerrys best player. Killian "windy" & hiding really. If Roche gets a few league games Killian could be well down the pecking order.

Good to see people are maintaining some perspective about a meaningless McGrath cup game in January

I didn’t see the game but Killian has got to be the most binary player I’ve ever seen. He’s either superb or awful, there’s very little in between. And to be honest the majority of his poor performances are when he starts and his superb ones are when he comes off the bench. He was superb in the Al final last year off the bench but fairly cat for the league games that he started
