the stadium was empty last year too and we were playing in both finals.
never seen so few people at a minor game, the Dubs didnt come in and a shed load of the kerry crowd didnt bother either, which was a disgrace, added to a poor Tipp crowd.

disgraceful allocation. we always seem to get terrible tickets too. 1500 will struggle to cover the players allocation, mentors and officers. Tickets for the final are a challenge at the best of times but this year with two of the best supported sides in the senior fixture, following the minors will be nigh impossible - and with both minors sides on their own (no senior following them in the "big" game) the stadium will be on the empty side for them which is a pity on such a big occasion for these lads. Last four times the minors made it to the final the seniors were there also (15,14,06,04) - prior to that we had a run of four minor finals without the seniors (96,94,90,88 - won two, lost 2). Best of luck to them and hope they can deliver - 1500 tickets is shoddy treatment of the competing counties.

Dublin will have 40,000 in the stadium on sunday...as always. Not at 1pm they won't!! A plea especially after the wind and rain of the weekend! Any chance we could ensure flags/posters and banners are out for the coming week? Shpw our support for a fine team. We spent years complaining when our minors couldn't get to a Final so lets make an effort. PS. I have 4 flags out.

I dunno homerj - i thought there was a big Kerry crowd in for the minor final last year. And the year before I don't think the stadium had ever been that packed for a minor final.
Tickets not easy to come by but what else were people expecting?
Btw - is everything a 'disgrace'?

With the tiny allocation of tickets you could claim it is a game that is solely exclusive to the club volunteers from the competing counties. It is open to debate if this is fair or otherwise.

Galway have 3 forwards who will have to be minded - I think David Naughton is tailor-made to mark Conneely the full forward. Graham O Sullivan will probably pick up Finnerty, the number 13. Either Michael Foley or Dan O Brien to mark Murphy, the centre forward.
Galway tried to put in a good few balls over the top of the Donegal full back line in the semi final so Kerry will need to watch out for this and Billy Courtney will need to be on his toes maybe to collect a few of these.
I expect Galway to play a sweeper which will probably free up Niall Collins who is well able to come up the field and score.
If the team can keep their feet on the ground, and I have no reason to fear that they wont, then Kerry should win this with a bit to spare. Long range forecast is for heavy rain on Sunday and Kerry have yet to play in poor conditions this year so maybe that could even things up a bit but still not to any significant degree IMO.

Anthony Finnerty's son looks like a real good baller. Galway have a few big lads in most of the lines. It should be an interesting game but hopefully Kerry can create a bit of history.
I was lucky enough to get a ticket over the weekend but I was keen to go and support the minors, as well as taking in the main event.

I have every confidence in the lads on Sunday. Playing great stuff all year. All Credit to Peter Keane. Has done a fantastic job. Wasn't easy coming in after what Jack done but he had done a great job. Has plenty talent to work with but it's still hard to start from scratch and bring them to another All Ireland. So great job to him and the Selectors.

Finding tickets for the minor final is like looking for truffles under the sand on a beach. I must check out the local public transport for Sunday and head into the men's shed to watch the game with the lads.

The very best of luck to our minors tomorrow, team, panel and management. I know they will give it their best and represent the county well.
Safe travel to all who are making the journey to Dublin.

Looking surprisingly nervous and the ball seems like a bar of soap to our boys

My eyes hurt after watching that first half- Kerry look almost like they are badly organised and have just been told to play complete off the cuff football- thankfully they seem to have much better footballers. Both teams seem very nervous shooting

David Clifford's goal aside-this has been a very poor match. Kerrys shot selection was poor and they really need to be trained to take points- which is a surprise after the semi final
Ref was absolutely cat- the lad didn't have a clue of the rules
A win is a win though and the conditions seemed tough to handle- well done to all involved!

Congrats to Kerry and Management!! Great year great day for Kerry. They didn't play their best but David Cliffords goal finished the game in the end. David Naughton was outstanding. Daniel O'Brien great game. Graham O'Sullivan, Mike Foley, the backs were great. Dara Moynihan brilliant. Sean O'Shea and David Clifford looked dangerous. All in all great work to get 3 in a row.

Great to get 3 in a row - Kerry's 2nd. No matter how. The conditions and the sense of occasion probably contributed to the quality and Galway a tougher opposition than we had faced before. Great hopes for the future and well deserved.

Good sign of a team that they can pull it off when everything's not going their way. Clifford had a quiet one by his standards but showed wonderful timing, as well as determination, with the second goal. Sign of greatness surely.
Nearly 8 mins injury time played - wtf?

Congratulations to the Kerry team and management on a fantastic result. To all those involved in under age coaching in Kerry and to all the parents please take a well earned bow. A 3 in-a-row is a marvellous achievement! Of course this is a team sport but a special mention must be made today, cometh the Hour, cometh the Man! David Clifford you are some operator - when the pressure was on and our need was greatest you showed true leadership and greatness.
Well done to all and UP THE KINGDOM!!!!

Great result, poor game but it's job done and the lads won't care
Now, hopefully we see 4 or 5 of the last 3 teams into the senior fold asap this winter and we start using these wins as a.springboard for success.

Delighted to see this team achieve the 3 in a row. Conditions didnt help, ref was poor and maybe the occasion got to some of the players. This was the worst I'd seen them this year. Some fantastically talented players who hopefully will make the jump to Senior in time. Well done to all involved, one of the most pleasant team groups I've had the pleasure to meet in Croke Park this year.
