Meath who were later beaten by Kildare beat Dublin early in this years Leinster championship so I'm not sure where that leaves Dublin really. Maybe some of the Dublin based posters can throw some light on it for you.

TG4 showed about 10 mins of the Mayo v Kildare QF. The Kildare number 10, Jack Robinson looks a very good forward and will take minding. It looked like a bit of a one-man-band though from the highlights.

Galway were impressive enough and will be a tough nut to crack for either Kerry or Kildare. They're a big enough team too.

Let us focus on Kildare first - but I would be concerned that Galway seem strong where Kerry are most vulnerable. They have a big midfield and a powerful 13 & 14. Kildare seem to be a footballing team and it could be a high scoring game next Sunday. If we perform I woud expect a victory.

Kildare look tough enough. Jimmy Hyland at no.15 looks a good enough player and Brian McLoughlin at no.14 is a guy who could trouble our full back line. Tony Archbold at no.5 is a good attacking wing back. Loves to get forward. He will have to be watched also. Our full back line is Kerrys weak link. I still think we will win but it will be close enough.

Really looking forward to see our minors play once again.
Some good work being done at underage level in Kildare so we won't have it all our own way.

Great too see David Naughton starting. Sean O'Shea is the main man for Kerry. He's having a brilliant year. Player of the year for me. He has a brilliant brain and great movement for a young player. A Kerry senior in waiting. If Kerry can get him the ball he can pull the strings and create room for Clifford Shaw and Friel to get the scores. I thought Sweeney would start. Strong player and a good pair of hands. The bench looks strong. Tomas O'Connor from Ballymac is very unlucky not to be in the 24. Played well every time I saw him. I think Kerry will win but Kildare have good full forward line. Best of luck to the lads.

Well done to the minors, a hell of a display. Clifford will get most of the plaudits and rightly so, a class act; but Dara Moynihan had a great game whilst he was on the pitch, along with Daniel O Brien, Sean O Shea and others great prospects for the seniors in a couple of years.

Future looks very bright. Clifford will get all the headlines, but Shaw & Naughton were also excellent today, as was Darragh Moynihan before pulling up.
Galway won't be as much as a pushover and were impressive in the other semi final. A more physical outfit I would think than Kildare.

I had the privilege of a ringside seat watching a great and comprehensive victory from this fine group of young men. Apart from their high level of skill in the great Kerry tradition what impressed me most was that they were enjoying playing football. And even when the game was well won they kept on trying and scored a goal with the last kick of the game. The future is bright.

The second half was poetry in motion - after a mediocre (by their standards) first half where they kicked 7 wides they came out for the second half, got into their stride and kicked point after point before killing the game with a goal. Keep the heads lads, one more hurdle and then join the graduates of 2014 & 15 to help forge the next great Kerry team. (5 of the 24 and 5 of the extended panel will be the backbone for 2017).

A really outstanding performance from 1-15; we were slow to settle but once we did it was game over. The work being done with the development squads is now really paying dividends, with a steady stream of well coached and physically well prepared players coming through; also, guys like Tommy Griffin, Wayne Quinlivan, James Costello, Sean Bawn are learning their trade as coaches/managers which should ensure a smooth transition to management when the need arises. Hats off to Donal Daly and crew who are involved in this structure.

I echo those statements . Great job by all the coaches. We have a great minor team next year also and will be very close to it again. Every thing is in place now to keep it going and I'm sure we will have a strong senior team again in a few years.

wonderful advert for Kerry football and hopefully they can do the job in the final now. will be a much tougher game though and Galway are a formidable outfit.

other counties such as Dublin, seem to be bringing their top kids through to Senior, much quicker than us. need to fast track this lot plus the 2 previous teams and get 5 or 6 of them into the fold of the seniors asap.
to have only 1 of the last 2 teams involved yesterday, was really really poor, surely 2 or 3 more of them are worth a crack now also.

Blooding a few more of the 14 & 15 minors is critical next year. Look at Diarmuid O'Connor of Mayo, minor in 13 and Young Player of the Year last year. Mannion, Costello and Kilkenny are similar examples from Dublin.

Id have David Clifford in for the league next year even if he doesn't play very often it would get him used to the setup and get a few mins in every game.. We're far too slow getting guys through. Cody introduces 2-3 new players every year to keep the squad fresh.

This is the 4th occasion this year that I have had the pleasure of watching this team. They were simply sublime yesterday. What stood out for me was that technically, the Kerry players were miles ahead of Kildare. That's the most important fundamental that you need to have in developing young players. Brilliant with kick passing, most players able to kick well off left and right, likewise fist passing. Reading the game, anticipating the play, excellence in the tackle and tactical ability. They are a testament to the first class coaching they have been receiving at under age level. Unfortunately for Kildare they weren't able to ride a gallop. I was hoping that they wouldn't get a hosing but at half time one of their midfielders was out of gas and their half back and half forward line were torn apart by Kerry's excellence. I felt sorry for them, I know 4 of them very well, having coached them at colleges level. I spoke to a few of them today and to say that they were both devastated would be an understatement. As one of them said to me "I have seen the good and bad about Croke Park this year. Yesterday it was an awful place to be and a few weeks ago it was the best place in the world to be." It will be hard for Kerry to reproduce a performance like that and it should be noted that Kildare were limited enough. Galway will pose an entirely new level of challenge. Kerry need to be ready for it and put yesterday's game firmly in the past.

Another top performance by the minors, well dont to all involved. Hopefully the disruption of lads heading off the college between now and final doesnt derail the momentum they have built up - also fingers crossed they will all come through with a clean bill of health after tomorrow nights county semi finals.
I'd say what will please Peter Keane as much as anything is the clean sheet. Another one of them against Galway will surely be enough to see Kerry claim the 3 in a row.
