Have to disagree. Chris O Donoghue is a solid midfielder.Plenty of pace in him and works tirelessly.Niall O Donoghue may edge it but reservations. As I said we need midfielders who can attack and defend.Stefan may get the nod but exciting times ahead for these young guys. A lot of guys who think they will start may be very surprised come March. Management will look at all options to them as we all must remember, this is the start of a 2 year tenure and they will look at putting a team together this year that can carry into 2017. No certs from 1 to 15 in this panel. If ye really think Chris O'Donoghue is a solid midfielder why does he play in the backs for every team he plays for bar for his Glenflesk u16 team (thats he carries on his shoulders) and a once off Kerry South tournament .. Also physicaltity wise he isnt that strong/tall enough to be a Kerry minor midfielder

With regards St.Brendans, they have Billy Courtney midfield. East kerry minors was different with a lot of older guys playing midfield. Always played midfield for Kerry South. I thought you said it was a ONE OFF Kerry South tournament. This year's Kerry South team were unbeaten in 3 years in any competitive match, also add to the fact that they beat Shannon Rangers minors by almost 15 pts earlier in June.He played midfield that day and the proofs in the pudding. Reservations also about Cognac Leane in goal. Good shot stopper but ball distribution and kick outs need to be improved on.

When I said "once off kerry south tournament" I meant as in him playing midfield for that one tournament. I was also at that challenge match and Shannon Rangers were missing many players that day to the team that lined out v Dingle. Billy Courtney will be in goal again this year for the minors.

Doubt they would have turned that deficit around even with linnane and o seannachain. Anyone who impressed you in that challenge match ?.. Brian friel worked well in forward line with Aaron McCarthy and Cian Gammell was solid..And Michael Potts was injured that night. Jack Griffin ran riot.

I don't think the initial panel of 40 has been oficially announced. They will probably look at them and see how they've progressed. No better man than Tommy Griffin to sort the men from the boys and it's a long way between now and April. The panel were brought together last Sat morning and given their gym programmes - they met in Milltown due to rhe unavailability of the Mitchels complex; Cormac Linnane was absent for obvious reasons.

Cormac Linnane was there and togged off in his shorts asking the trainers could he do anybit of training only they declined his offer and told him to tale his time coming back

Rightly so. Injuries take time to heal especially serious ones. They have to be cautious. He probably feels right but the slightest twinge and it could ruin him.

Pure Quality on that team but certainly Jack Griffin would start. Would make great viewing to see that team play against the current squad. With both, pick your starting 15. A lot of this team could be in with a chance of making it this year

Surely a typo

There were only 2 U17 players on the starting team this year. U17 squad were dissapointing in games and training beaten in one of their 2 games with the U16s and also beaten in 1st game in the Jeremiah Kearns tournament in Milltown. There does not appear to be the same standard of player for minor team 2015. U15 and U16s both appear to have decent groups but I would be worried about prospects of retaining the title or even being really competative. I do not see players of the calibre of Shane Ryan, Begley, Barry O Sullivan, Burns, Flaherty Spillane or Tomas O Sé for the coming year. Mark O Connor, Andrew Barry, Stephen O Sullivan exempted, I do not see enough of other top level potential. Jack Morgan, Jason Foley, Gavin White, John mark Foley, Conor Geaney and Brian Shanahan will hopefully improve on under Jack's guidance to make us competative at least. Were there any other U17s involved during 2014 with the minor panel? David Roche (Milltown/Castlemaine). And you didn't even expect them to be competitive? How very wrong you were...
