where did you see that Griffan and Kealy are leaving? the only 2 confirmed were the 1st two.
we were told Griffin was gone last winter and there he was on the sideline on 1/4 final day against Derry.
Tally by all accounts, is well liked by all players and only reason for him leaving would be the enormous commitment, hed be a huge loss.

It was on Terrace Talk Monday night that they had left already (Kealy & Griffin). I heard it from someone else previous also but wouldn't have been as trustable a source as Terrace Talk.

I thought I heard Griffin say that 2024 would be his last year earlier in the year.

They had theee years to improve that team it didn’t happen. He kept saying this year our panel is stronger and even last year said it but I didn’t see any improvement. Everyone could see the half forward line was the week link but they kept with the same old same old faces and never forget what Jack said the first game in McGrath cup “food for thought “ he said moving Seanie to full forward. That was the big move of the year. Who remembers the half forward line of Galvin, Declan and Donacha walsh I know they are not coming back but those lads did the dirty work back in the day they took no prisoners and there is a reason our midfield was good as they took pressure off. Do we have any lads close to them no but if there is they didn’t get much of a chance.

Lots of rumours going around about the management team, hopefully the county board clarify the situation soon. Get it sorted before the county championship starts

The rumours about rumours give the impression that it will be a John Delaney, Mick McCarthy, Stephen Kenny kind of thing. I hope they just rip the band-aid off.

Tony Griffin was full time performance coach in 2022 and 2023, he moved back up the country at start of this year so he was only really committing to the role for the Championship and has now left. Haven't heard anything about Kealy or Tally. What about Jason McGahon, I know he's more of an employee of the County Board? The fitness levels were a concern in the Armagh game so you would think he might have some questions being put to him by the County Board.

Christ there's some doom and gloom on this thread. End of the world stuff To quote the great Kieran McGeeney, “I suppose when you're around football for a long time, it's the people who know very little who make a lot of noise,”

I'd expect news in the coming days..things are too quiet for too long. I'd say a management team will be floated in the near future.

I'd expect Jack to head it up. Yes, I expect the same despite all the talk, rumours and opinions. I suppose we have to realise its 'silly season' and newspaper columns and news slots crave a story.

Once we don't sleep walk into another silly season of doing the same thing and expecting a different result!
A wise owl put it to me that '24 wasn't a high standard, with respect Galway didn't perform in the final yet they were a single kick away from claiming Sam - so in effect we are two steps behind. What didn't we do and why?
Ah people know how I feel and I have no ulterior motive but it pains me to think that we are making a mistake - look, we can all be wrong and we are all entitled to articulate and express our thoughts, our heart felt beliefs!

The only thing I'd say there is the lack of newspaper inches dedicated to it. I can't believe how quiet people are about the whole thing.

Jack is staying and with assistants we never heard of - I hope we are not in for another silly season! *YOU* never heard of....... fixed it for you The consistent reports are that he is having to scrape the barrel - have any of them ever been involved and/or won at inter county management? Could we have a management team without a single AI senior medal between them, all after a year where the head honcho failed miserably against what we now know was mediocre opposition? Look, they might turn out to be the best the game has ever known but this is not a rehearsal or indeed an experiment - the playing careers of some of the finest ever to grace a football field is at stake, including what many thought was going to be the greatest player ever! The disparity here would be truly astonishing in a weaker county so people will be wondering what is going on in Kerry, some will be delighted. And now I am the only person to spot all this!

You need to log off for a while. Your description of any Kerry gaa person as scraping the barrel is a disgrace. Let you in on a little secret... All Ireland medals do not equate to being a good coach. Does the best coach in Kerry have an All Ireland medal ? Don't believe he has. Less Kerry arrogance and a bit more humility would do you the world of good.
