It's hardly for the good of their health they're doing it now is it? Why don't you go back and read what I said. Ofcourse they get paid. Stating someone is only interested in the money infers they don't really care and only do it for the money. It's clearly a dig at the OSès and below the belt inmy view. Anyway it's a lovely Sunday and I'm not wasting anymore time with this juvenile debate. So because everyone doesn't agree with you you're going off in a sulk?

I was just looking at old memories and 5 years ago we played Clare on this day in the Munster semi-final. Teams would peak a lot later in the year and that takes a bit of time to adjust to. Kerry have always been a summer team, it's when the skills come out, and the teams who just work very hard are found out. Interesting to see how much the team has changed in 5 years. We still haven't found a replacement for David Moran!

Diarmuid annd Joe are very different midfielders and it would be foolish to think they could replace Moran. Just like Darragh was very different and a big loss.

Stopped in Mayfield. Quite a few Kerry people around, or more than I would have expected. The people in Melleray are thinking there will be a big backlash from Meath after the hammering by Louth. I can’t see it happening. Meath haven’t had a game plan all year

Fed up with this ‘who said what’ and who should have said what on this thread. 2 questions 1 Will Kerry make the AI.? 2. Will we win it?

Kerry should win with a bit to spare today. Some teams and managers are showing that they are distinctly human after all and it is all positive for Kerry. So what we need to see today is a clinical and fluent performance from the forwards. The full forward line has the ability to get a big score and Tony Brosnan is the facilitator. These four must combine well. Cillian must show that he can deal with kicks out from both ends.
In defence Mike Breen and Dylan Casey must grab their opportunities. It's a pity Sean O'Brien isn't playing.

Not great so far why aren’t we pressing their kick outs Holding a bit in reserve I’d say. Maybe trying to practice set defence dropping off a bit. Great to see our backs able to beat teams out the gate when they drop 15 back in front of David

David’s form is worrying he doesn’t seem to have the zip in his play it’s all very pedestrian up front no pattern in our attacks at all

Considering how poor Meath are, a number of Kerry players were really off it today. Tom, Brian, Gavin, Joe, Tony in the first half the pick of the bunch. David enjoyed the last 15.

I would not be that harsh. The spread was 10 points and we won by 15. It’s hard to dial in to the top level when you are playing a team way off it. I’m delighted with how Kerry are chugging along. Performances like these, where there are things to work on allow focus rather than complacency in the coming weeks

Hard to say you are unimpressed after a 15 point win.
However we were so sloppy and pedestrian at times.
Shooting was poor enough aswell.
I thought defensively we were sound but Meath were abject in attack.
Great Kerry crowd though and what did I say about the pitch. Class.
One thing I was on pitch at HT with my daughter and a young Kerry lad had a bloodied nose after a belt of a ball and he was distressed.
I hope he was ok in the end.

O Rourke should be ashamed of that Meath set up today, shambles.
Most negative team performance I've ever seen and makes a mockery of everything he preached for years on RTE.
Job done, onwards we go

My concern about Kerry has been the goals. More relevant in later stages I would say in tight games. Great to see DC rattle in 2 however the Dubz rattled in 5 against Cavan !
It’s a nice victory some bit critical of Meath today however as saying goes you can only bate what’s in front of you. Onwards upwards goals goals please 😀
Well done travelling fans !

Kerry won in a common canter today. Wasn't a vintage performance but job done etc. Kicked some great scores especially our defenders. I feel we will see a switched on fully focused Kerry once we hit Croke Park. The Quest for 'SAM' starts then for Kerry. It's not easy for top teams to play free flowing football when you know that you only need be at 50% to beat opponents in group currently. Going through the motions so to speak.

No surprise in this group, we were expected to canter thru to the qtr final and that we will, there in lies our problem.
Into a qtr final with no test, playing at pedestrian pace, very concerning imo, yes defence solid, no more than you expect with the opposition in front of us, but our forward line is fits and starts, no fluidity in their approach play.
The boys are doing what there expected game day, I just hope the qtr final draw is kind, we get a test but not overly tested, as we need a step change in intensity leading to semi final.
Anyone else share my concerns.
