If Marc O'Se says 'I tell you what' once, he says it 100 times during a game! Twas hard going alright the last night but maybe he will tone it down a bit the next day. Ah he was in good form

Predictions for today EK v Spa .... EK by 8 Stacks v West Kerry .... Stacks by 4 Brendans v Templenoe .... Templenoe by 3 Ek have already made a few changes and I expect a few more but if they put out any sort of a decent side, surely they will beat Spa by 12 or more.

When you said EK made a few changes, I thought perhaps they have a weakened team named. Then I looked at the team sheet….. Dara Moynihan starting for Spa which is good to see. Spa will do well to stay within 6 or 7 points.

Quick question, probably a stupid question. If I pay for the stream for the Spa v EK game can I pause it and watch it at my lesiure?

Quick question, probably a stupid question. If I pay for the stream for the Spa v EK game can I pause it and watch it at my lesiure? Hey, When I logged into my Clubber account last weekend, I was able to click into a match I had paid for a few weeks ago and watch it. I presume you can pause a game while watching it live (there is a pause button) and go back in the game (they don't have many replays) but I did not try this myself.

Thanks Ciarraioch, yes I've discovered it is possible to pause the game. Just finished watching the game, Spa did really well and if they had taken their chances they could easily have come out on top. Should give the rest plenty of optimism, East Kerry are by no means unbeatable in spite of their prodigious talents.

The Brendan’s left that one after them tonight, conceded 3 goals in the second half after dominating first half, ended with templenoe by a point, they only scored 1 point from play, but goals win games.

East Kerry far from impressive tonight. Spa played very defensive from the start but EK still should have been out of sight at half time having missed three gilt edged chances and kicked numerous bad wides. Spa only scored from frees in the first half but were only 3 down at half time. As the game went on, Spa got more confidence and EK more frustrated.it was classic counter attack football from Spa and they themselves missed a few goal chances which they will have plenty of regrets on.
DAvid Clifford came on 10 minutes into the second half and kicked three lovely points from play to settle the EK nerves and see out the game.
Dara Moynihan did not look fit to me through out and came off with around 5 minutes to go with an ankle injury again. He then bizarrely got a red card a few minutes later for god knows what on the instruction of the linesman.
Also Jod got a straight red card in the last seconds of the game for an elbow. Completely needless.
Overall,Ek very casual but plenty for them to work on and still very much the team to beat.

Reports from the game say that Robert Monahan from Kilmoyley beat Adrian Spillane well at midfield and kicked 4 points from play.
Templenoe may have their eyes on the club final however.

Adrians game is based on physicality and work rate. I have seen it so many times over the years that hurling players take those two things for granted and can neutralise footballers depending on these in a game so easily.

Look at contribution Spa made to their championship wins, East were always going to have handbrake on. How many dead rubbers next week are we looking at??

Monahan is an unreal talent - outstanding hurler & footballer & for an 18 year old he has fantastic fitness; was best player on show, kicked 4 points from play & was going as hard at the finish as anytime during the game - should be a big player for the U-20s next year.

With Dingle cruising at the moment, unless there's a KOR comeback we'll have 7 teams in to last 8 after today with a group game to spare.
Only suspense - if you could call it that - will be to see if Templenoe can get the draw or win they need at home to already qualified Feale Rangers. An unlikely Feale Rangers away win would open the door for South Kerry assuming they beat already eliminated St Brendans in which case it would go down to score difference with Templenoe.

With EK looking like sure things to win the county championship, are KoR and Templenoe holding something back in order to try to win the club final represent Kerry in the club All Ireland?

KO’R were well beaten today - the loss of Tommy, Cormac & Jack ( for past two weeks) has seriously depleted them - looked spent today.

Feale Rangers 2-13 South Kerry 0-13 HT 1-6 0-7 (final score may be a point or two out- electronic score board malfunctioned a couple of times!)
Sam came to town last evening and a few of the grandchildren occupied him for a few minutes which was appropriately photographed for posterity. A fitting bookend to a tumultuous year for Kerry.
Normal business resumed this afternoon with the visit of South Kerry to town. The barony of South Kerry, who gave us players such as Micko, Micko, Jacko, John E., Maurice, Declan. There have been few as good, fewer still better.
South Kerry started the brighter, forcing the North Kerry backs into fouling, some of it needless. Daniel Daly punished those misdemeanours. Dylan O'Donoghue, a lively corner forward in those early stages kicked two from play, as did Graham O'Sullivan, who was conspicuous at midfield in the first half, more subdued in the second half. It was also noteworthy in that half that Mathew O'Sullivan at full forward was proving a handful for Sean T. Dillon. Gradually, Feale Rangers crept into it, propelled by Bryan Sweeney and Barry O'Mahony at midfield and by incisive runs from wingback, Niall Collins. Points were registered by David and Sean Keane and a great one from the aforementioned Niall Collins. Darragh O'Sullivan and Daneil Daly replied with frees and then came the decisive score of the half and indeed the game. A long ball was delivered into the danger zone for Feale Rangers. Wingback, Conor O'Keeffe latched onto it and cracked it home. Feale Rangers now led for the first time and they never relinquished that lead.
That first half was most entertaining with plenty of open football. After that it was more or less downhill.
Martin Stack, a very competent free taker, opened the scoring in the second half, and then Sean Keane combined with David Keane, not sure if they are related, for the latter to score a goal Subsequent to that score, Feale Rangers were the dominant force and it was clear from a long way out who would be in the winner's enclosure at the end. The standard also deteriorated with too much fouling and too many scores in that half coming from frees, so much so that one was yearning for the final whistle.
After a slow start, Feale Rangers emerged as the better team, much the better as the game concluded. When Sean T. Dillon got to terms with Mathew O'Sullivan a lot of the threat was removed from the South Kerry attack. Also the more the game advanced the more pronounced Feale Rangers superiority at midfield became. Graham O'Sullivan ploughed a lone furrow here for South Kerry in the first half but his resistance faded in the second half. In the midfield area, the St. Senans pair of Barry O'Mahony and Cillian Trant alternated productively between midfield and wing forward but it was Listowel's elegant Bryan Sweeney who was the most influential midfielder on show. A classy minor medallist of a couple years ago, he has got stronger but has lost none of his finesse or mobility. Of course, his grandfather and granduncle played underage for Kerry. Another instance of black cat, black kitten.
After a sparkling opening, South Kerry faded and had little to offer in the second half. Up front, Mathew O'Sullivan, Daniel Daly and Dylan O'Donoghue initially looked as if they would overwhelm Feale Rangers but alas it was a false dawn.
All in all, tumbling the grandchildren into Sam was the focal point of the weekend for me. How reassuring, that this magnificent trophy will be in our midst for the next twelve months. I have no doubt it would not want to reside any place else during that time. Indeed, while I am not sure of this, I could swear I heard Sam whisper to one of the more fretful of the children, "do not worry about the quality of your photo little one because I will be back here next year and we can do it all over again"
