One thing I noticed yesterday that while the Kerry defense was just sublime we never had everyone behind the ball.We constantly kept two or three forwards up in the attack which was refreshong to see and Galway backs stayed with them then. Whole thing was refreshing to see brought back memories for me from 70s onwards. Enough of the complicated stifling tactics get on and play let them worry about Kerry as mick o d would say. Simple football as Bredagh said co commentary. Stop boring the ..,. Out of the players and fans and get back to what Ed best at. Well done Kerry ladies and thanks 🙏

Playing a Connaught side, you're much more likely to get a proper game of football; this goes for the men's game too. The ladies' S/F against Armagh was fairly grim stuff.

What a performance by the girls today, played a lovely brand of football. It was refreshing to see teams not flooding back immediately after being turned over and over the 3 games today there was 10 goals scored. I must say, I've been multiple All Ireland finals, double figures at this stage. However, this was my first LGFA AI Finals day and there was a few things the GAA could learn from. I love the fact that everyone gets a county flag on the way in. It really adds to the atmosphere and it made the crowd of 30,340 feel like a lot more. I also think the countdown clock and hooter with clock stopped rather than added time is the way forward. Players know exactly what is left and it stops the feigning of injury to waste time. I must say I had a great day and after attending 12/14 Mens senior Kerry games between league & championship this year, this was the performance of a Kerry team I enjoyed most,by a long shot. Congratulations to the girls and hopefully a big crowd show up in Killarney tomorrow night. Ciarrai Abú Agree the mens game could learn many things drom ladies football. The flags though is actually done by TG4 but its brilliant and really adds to the athmosphere. The clock and hooter and great and also the pick up off the ground Many think if the pick up was axed for mens football we would lose a great skill. We def would NOT.If a player running wanted to get a ball off ground quickly they could still flick the ball up as it would be quicker than bending down for the ball. Also most of the time in the mens game they are just putting the foot behind the ball and actually just picking it off the ground. There is no skill in that. The ladies game has come on leaps and bounds and our management team have too.I congratulate both Dara and Declan who were brave enough to change the conservative way we played the last few years to a more attacking and winning system.Yesterday was a good day!

Just read a comment on twitter... the poster stated that the Rose of Tralee committee should put the ladies team on an open top and include in the Roses parade through Tralee Sat night.
SPOT ON... acknowledge this great bunch of Roses for who they are and what they have achieved ...

Its still a mans world! Our ladies have just won the All Ireland playing brilliant football for the first time in 31 years and only a small number of posts about this great achievement.
If the men won there would be numerous posts.Sad in a way but thats life.I must say I really enjoyed the ladies great title win.

A mighty achievement by the ladies. After the heartache of the last 2 years they had the game put to bed early on.
A lot of talk always about the commitment of the men but some of those girls on the road a long long time and to stick it out and get the rewards must beyond satisfying. There is no get out in the form of a summer in America to get paid a truck load, at least not that I am aware of, so fair play to them.
There the Aussie rules I suppose now but still not as lucrative as options for the boys at this point.
Was great to see the turn out all around the county for them. They deserved no less.

Have been to most of their games in the last few years and it's plain to see now that, in comparison to the men's game, the entertainment level is much higher. The Ladies county board now have an ideal opportunity to really push home the popularity of the game, which to be fair the likes of TG4 and Lidl have done a great job promoting. The profile is really rising and while the Mens game is trying to sort itself out , a lot of work can be done on selling the positives of the ladies game. Congrats to that Kerry team, they've given wonderful service and commitment to the Jersey and deserve all the acolades they are receiving.

Reaching 3 All Ireland finals in the last 3 of their 5 years is a testament to what they brought to the group. Apart from obviously winning this year, the style of football they coached the girls to play was a joy to watch. Kicking forward long into space, often 2 long kicks, and the discipline in the quality of the tackling - excellent. They'll be highly sought after if they ever consider getting involved with male teams

Big boots to fill For sure Horse. The two boys did a fab job. They improved the girls no end the last few years and while nearly at the top they were still a bit too defensive. They showed great bravery this year and played with more adventure and reaped the rewards. They will be missed.

Well done and thanks to both Declan and Darragh. I have to admit I had my doubts after last year but it was upwards all the way in 2024 until the title was secured.

5 years is a long stint so can’t blame them. They mention family a lot in their message so it’s clearly a huge factor. They have had an incredible run starting off from a low base in division 2 when Kerry ladies were a right mess. They deserve enormous credit.
Not sure if there’s an obvious replacement or if the rest of the selectors will stay. The possibility of a good few retirements might be on the cards of course also.

Well deserved break, they said as much, full time job. Wish them all the best and as the yank would say, thanks for your service. They will be back I am sure, club or county.
