Not so great to see then not having access to Currans facility. Fair play to Louise for mentioning it.

Not so great to see then not having access to Currans facility. Fair play to Louise for mentioning it. I did nt know that. That's a disgrace if true. Lots of people contributed to Curran facility and it should be available to the ladies too. After watching the game against Cork - they really only need a football and a set of goals .. I watch a lot of ladies football and I just cannot understand why coaches don’t spend most of the time on shooting drills - it’s definitely the Achilles heels of all ladies team and watching Kerry on Saturday it was painfully obvious what’s required - one other thing also - the greediness of one or two of the Kerry forwards and that lady in particular moaning to the Kerryman would want to have a serious look in the mirrors - if she was on a man’s team I don’t know if anyone would be talking to her in the dressing room - takes me back k to the saying - wouldn’t pass to his mother !!!

Great team display by Kerry. They have added a needed physical edge and play a lovely brand of football. Some great scores. I have to credit Armagh's Aimee Macken, great footballer.

I only tuned into the Croke Park match when the ladies match was over. It was a humdinger. Kerry had one point lead towards the end when they were awarded penalty. Louise could teach the lads a thing or two as she nonchalantly converted . That clinched a very hard earned victory. Armagh had a corner forward ? Macken who got about six from play from all angles and distances. Unbelievable footballer. But there were plenty of stars on both teams. More physicality is being allowed now and the game has improved accordingly.
Interestingly, Cork and Dublin were beaten today therefore that opens it up. As far as I know Kerry now meet Mayo in the semifinal. Well done to the women folk.

Good game there today. It was ebb and flow throughout. When we got ahead at times, we just couldn’t shake the Kerry girls off. We missed two goal chances first half, which could have been the difference. Some great scores from Mackin and Ní Mhurtheartaigh in particular.
As stated above, Cork/Dublin knocked out, so that was a good chance for another team to come through. Unfortunately it wasn’t ourselves. An opportunity missed I feel. A bit like our men.
Anyway, good luck to Kerry. Some very good footballers on that team.

I have had the pleasure of being involved with an underage ladies team in Dublin from under 12 up to minor. The standard is fantastic and the games are much more entertaining than some of the lads teams. It would be great to see Kerry back at the top table again. Dublin may have been knocked out early this year but there is a massive pool of players coming through. My club has 4 adult ladies teams. The men only have three teams.

Saw the highlights of the Armagh-Kerry 1/4 final. What an entertaining game that ebbed and flowed. A great exhibition of kick passing and an excellent performance from Louise Ní Mhuircheartaigh scoring 2-6. It's her 15th year on the team an no All-Ireland medal yet. With Dublin and Cork gone and Meath on the other side of the draw, Kerry must be in with a decent chance this year. After her sublime penalty, maybe Louise could come to the senior men's training to show them how it's done!

I love watching the ladies football. Was involved in coaching underage for a number of years where we won a county title every year. Great to see girls I coached at u10 going on to wear the senior Jersey. Kerry are favourites for the semi but Mayo will have no fear as it's a new bunch of girls due to players gone playing in Australia.

Up 3-6 to 0-8 at the half. Fortunate goal early on when Aishling O'Connell's effort (possibly going for a point) got half blocked and looped in over the GK in to the net. 2 goals since by the in-form Síofra O'Shea.

Myself, Kerry Ladies Twitter, and Mayo Ladies Twitter all have 3-6 to 0-9. Aishling O'Connells goal took a lucky deflection, Cait Lynch made a brilliant run for Siofra O'Shea's and she hit a bullet of a shot for her second. Kerry are defending very well

4-10 to 0-13. Paris McCarthy with our fourth goal. Great display by Kerry. Emma Costello was my player of the game, Kayleigh Cronin got the official award. Both were brilliant.

Daragh Long said goals win games and that was certainly the case here. The Mayo keeper got the right hand to one shot and the left hand to another one but the ball went over the line each time. The first goal got a deflection too which deceived the keeper.
Mayo had their goal chances too but some absolutely brilliant defending kept Mayo out.
On points scored Mayo had 13 and Kerry had 10.
Kerry have some super footballers but when Mayo got it down to 4 points who was it but Louise M to step up with 3 points, one as good as the other off left and right. What a class player she is.
Great post match interview by Kayleigh Cronin. Great turn of phrase. She seems great fun.

What a brilliant contest between Meath and Donegal. 12 points to 1.07 at the end to Meath.
What a second half by Meath. Is there any stopping Vicky Wall and Emma Duggan.
Meath had two players off for yellows in that second half yet they won.
Donegal were heroic.. some great players.
Sport of the highest order.

Congrats to the ladies once more. Possibly a bit flattered by the winning margin. The goals killed Mayo who scored some magnificent points . At times our defence seemed to be too open but once Mayo got into the danger zone those backs were around them like jackals , with Kayleigh Cronin supreme at full back and was a worthy recipient of player of the match. One had to be enthused by her confidence in her interview post match regarding the final. Not arrogant but sheer belief in the team’s ability.
One worry I would have is our midfield where Lorraine Scanlon was less prominent than usual . We seemed to fade here for spells in the second half and a lot of our long kicks out seemed to go awry.
Louse , splendid as usual , took a knock at the end . We need that woman for the final.
I didn’t see the second match . Meath will be formidable . Understatement of the week.

Well done to the ladies, superb performance, incredible tenacity, organisation, work rate and no shortage of skill either.
They did the county proud and amazing achievement to be in final. Superbly coached team also.

Congratulations Kerry Ladies!
They really set about their business today and the goals of course destroyed a valiant Mayo side.
Lots of room for improvement , particularly kick outs I feel.
The Meath Donegal game was a game of attrition and probably played at a level up from the Kerry game.
So Kerry have it all to do but what a great opportunity for them.
