Congrats to our women’s team. Hugely impressive with the wind in the second half. Delighted to see such a fine crowd in the stand.
Worrying that full back , Kayleigh Cronin, hobbled off. She is a formidable athlete and would be a big loss.
Siofra O’Shea was remarkable , coming back from an ACL injury and scoring three smashing points.
For a professional athlete, Vicky Wall doesn’t appear to be at peak fitness.
Ladies football is another victim of the congested season in the the sense that some of us would like to attend their matches but there simply are too many fixtures at this time of the year.

Who will they meet in the semi final? They've lost last two finals so hopefully this is their year.

So, we will meet yet again...
This will be a close one. We are missing Aimee Mackin (ACL) and Kelly Mallon wasn’t playing today, although I’m not sure of the nature of her injury.
Tullamore double header, I believe.

Glad Dublin are out, anyway. Shamelessly fouled their way to the title last year.

It would be great for Louise Ni Mhuircheartaigh to win this year. She probably doesn't have many years left.
This year we weren't far off being in AI finals in Seniors, Under 20s, Minor and Ladies.

Against Cork in the S/F last year, and against Kerry in the final, they fouled and fouled and fouled and both days it paid off with the referee keeping the cards in the pocket. Not sure I've ever seen a more cynical side of any gender.

The ladies won in a low scoring semi final. Galway await.

Wonderful defensive display by the Kerry ladies. Straight from the defenders’ primer.
Siofra O’Shea is a remarkable footballer and a natural leader. Oozes calmness and football intelligence.

Could have won it easier but kicked a number of easy point chances away going for goals..one player in particular kicked 3.

Great stuff from the Kerry ladies,
Had to win ugly today and that experience stood to them.
Armagh really missed Aimee Macken.
Kerry are a big physical athletic team.
Watched last years final in Fitzgeralds in Castlegregory and I'll do likewise this year.
The team were in Jimmy Briens on the Sunday after the Cork game.. My daughter was very impressed.

If they dont concede goals they will win.
Galway have tattled the net regularly this year

The goal was a thing of beauty - midfield catch from a long kick out, quick hand pass and direct kick in, brilliant catch and offload and a wonderful finish.
Let's hope it's third time lucky this year.

Yes indeed, after a week of serious soul searching on what went wrong with our men`s team, fair play to our senior Kerry ladies for having lifted Kerry hearts again. There is nothing won yet but having seen them play Galway not that long ago they are more than capable of bringing a long awaited AI title back to Kerry and hopefully being mindfull that any bit of complacency does not set in. Of course we cannot forget our Minor Kerry ladies team who are in an AI Final aswell.

The team were under serious pressure the first 15, fair due they weather the storm and roared back into the game, some great defending by Kerry and as mentioned a fab goal, yesterday was not our best day at the office up front, so room for improvement. Same application on final day and we won’t be far away. Well done to all players and management.

I remember being at both the Meath and Dublin finals thinking Kerry were getting absolutely murdered on the kick outs but yesterday she found her girl repeatedly. If it was her she's massively improved there

I remember being at both the Meath and Dublin finals thinking Kerry were getting absolutely murdered on the kick outs but yesterday she found her girl repeatedly. If it was her she's massively improved there Rollingstone, she is the goalie we had last year. I too was disheartened with kick out strategy last year , or lack of it, when we lost kick out after kick after kick out . Clearly management have worked ceaselessly on that part of Ciara’s game with the result that she is far more confident now . Also it would seem outfield movement has been fine tuned. Delighted for Ciara. Being a goalie is a lonely assignment as Shane Ryan, I am sure , would testify. This new found kick out success could turn out to be our missing link, coupled with the return of Siofra O’Shea.

Following the Minor's disappointment last weekend, it's down to the senior ladies to try to land silverware. Galway have taken Cork & Dublin out so will fear no-one. An interesting afternoon in prospect.

Huge credit to Declan/ Dara & the team, Third final in 3 years is incredible. Really hope they get over the line
