After this weekend the championship is really wide open now. It would be great to see one of Abbeydorney or Ballyheigue make the final at least.

Ballyheigue played a nice brand of hurling looking up for the man in the better position all the time, and deserved to win. Crotta never got near the heights of last year and barry mahony s influence was sorely missed. It would be nice to see either o dorney or bally heigue go all the way but the teams with 50 plus titles between them will look at this as an oppurunity to add to their haul

Its tough going for players to play a semi final six days after a hard quarter final. Daniel Collins gave a master class yesterday is there any chance of him returning to Kerry

Its tough going for players to play a semi final six days after a hard quarter final. Daniel Collins gave a master class yesterday is there any chance of him returning to Kerry Collins is up there as one of Kerry’s best ever hurlers, a class act. He is a full time farming contractor, I think one of the reasons he quit the county team was due to time, I’d say not a chance he will return to the Kerry panel, still only 29 though.

Parnells lost to Ballyduff in the minor Div 1 final last night. Another step in the right direction for them.

Quarter Final Rreview show. Well worth looking at the highlights of the Ballyheigue v Crotta game. Four very good Quarter Finals but that one was a great game.

A long shot but if anyone has two tickets seated together for the all Ireland hurling final on Sunday night I’d love to take my teenage son to his first.
As I said it’s a long shot as they are scarce.

Great entertainment promised later
Ballyheigue v Abbeydorney a real novel semi final pairing. Ballyheigue to bring a big and noisy crowd
Sensational win for them knocking out county champions Crotta
Kilmoyley v Ballyduff is a real championship heavyweight blockbuster - Kilmoyley top of the roll of honour with 26, Ballyduff next with 25 - clashes between this pair rarely disappoint

Ballyduff v Kilmoyley was A classic so many players had great games on both sides. Podge was lethal and i dont know if Jack Goulding is available but he would be great addition for Kerry in 2025 also Mike o Leary

An interesting stat but this year will be the first time Ballyduff and Abbeydorney will play each other in a county final.

what a weekend for hurling, the AIF between Cork and Clare with Kerry hurling fans having the added bonus of an epic match the night before in Tralee.
Ballyduff and Kilmoyley played perhaps the greatest clash ever between these age old rivals
The quality of some of the scores were just superb and ahead of the standard you would expect in a Kerry club match
The goal from Phil Maunsell Kilmoyley was up there with the standard of goals in Croke Park the following day. Superb individual points from Ronan Walsh and Luke Rochford. Walsh is developing into an outstanding hurler and it is no wonder he was playing Fitzgibbon Cup for C.I.T earlier in the year
All in all a blockbuster encounter between Kilmoyley and Ballyduff with so many talking points

I don’t know if it’s the coaching or players putting a bigger effort in, but the standard of hurling in some of the Kerry senior club matches this year has been top notch.
As mentioned above some of the scores and passages of play has been of a very high standard.
If any potential county manager is looking in, he will have a good panel to pick from if lads will commit.
Ballyduff seem very determined to win title Number 26.
Kilmoyley losing Dougie Fitzell before throw in and then Paudie O Connor was tough on them.

It should make for a really interesting final. Ballyduff look to have a stronger panel on paper and you win think they would be better placed to have a real crack off the Munster championship if they do. Abbeydorney will go in as underdogs, It would be some achievement if they win Sunday week considering they had nobody on the Kerry panel in 2024

No offence to Ballyduff and their supporters but wouldn't it be great for Kerry hurling if, after ourselves ending a long long Famine last year, our neighbours end their 50 year wait?

Minor championship game called off last night as no ref showed up. Not good enough yet nothing will be done about it.

I see Fionan Mackassey scored 1-8 for O Loughlin Gaels V Dicksboro in the Kilkenny senior club league debut.
Hopefully it goes well for Fionan in Kilkenny, I wonder will be hurl for Kerry in 2025.

Hope Fionan stays with Kerry next year we would be lost without him and he is likely to get even better

Minor championship game called off last night as no ref showed up. Not good enough yet nothing will be done about it. How many hurling clubs have referees? Only for Ballyduff and a couple of football refs taking up hurling, there would be alot more games called off.

I think Ballyduff have 5 hurling referees if not more The rest of the hurling clubs would struggle to put 5 togther between them - a few football lads are reffing hurling now to save the day The hurling clubs are always giving out to refs - a reason why we have some lost some good ones

2pm is an early start for the senior final on Sunday
What a day for Abbeydorney - 1st final to reach in 17 years and only their 2nd final in 50 years and without a title for 50 years
any reason why the county board couldnt play Kilgarvan v St Brendans intermediate final on Sunday as a curtin raiser? Ardfert dont have football , maybe Kilgarvan do???
anyways no matter what the senior and intermediate final should be on the one day, boost the attendance and give other players a chance of savouring county final day. instead the intermediate final gets played tonight

Seeing as they're really only interested in getting the championships finished as fast as possible you'd imagine having double headers would cut out some of the work. Ardfert won Junior championship last night.
