Ah, but did you hear about the Kerry animal (de video, de captured Kerry animal who couldn't stand up straight on two legs who strayed or was dragged across the county bounds to Wesht Cork last June) well, he finally escaped from the wesht Cork lads on Saturday, ie;you remember the Wesht Cork lads who made the video about the kerry animal, the langers who had their heads hidden with balaclavas. Well the Kerry animal who was half starved ,he jumped over the county bounds fence, left a few f***s off by way of saying 'thank you' to the Cork boys and made his way to Dublin shouting, as I though as he went Ne na, ne na, ne na.The Cork boys followed him for a while on their Hondas but it was like Graham Canty following Tadhg Kennelly. They had to give up as their mouths big an all as they were got filled with dust from his flying hooves. Now, I've discovered that he didnt say NeNa at all what he really said was NaMa, NaMa,NaMa,NaMa. I'm not Dr Dolittle so I dont understand animal language or what he meant by NAMA, NAMA, maybe some poster could explain. Our animal was of course on the Kerry panel today and I think came on for a while and marked Graham Canty. I wonder did he stand up to (or for) Graham Canty. !!!!! "No, All Irelands won in June boy" Jacks quote ! 36 and counting. Welcome home animal ! ha, ha, ha. No string attached to you now. D'animal was also talking some jibberish about Cork losing some jersey contract with Virgin Airlines. What was that all about. Could some poster explain.

Today was one of Kerry's greatest footballing victories. In terms of enjoyable football the first half was very good viewing , even for the neutral. The second half was not pretty and I could care less. The Kerry team spent a tough second half at the office, a title was on the line and they came home- with it!! That is the bottom line-winning the final! The victory was that much more impressive due to the nature of the season this team had to contend with. This team put up with some unbelievable strife from all angles this season, and they won an All Ireland; regardless of all the blasphemy! ;D Before we get the opportunity to read volumes worth of post game epilogue by various media; I want to add the first of my green and gold tinted opinions. This present Kerry team must now be given the kudos that they deserve. In this decade they have reached every All Ireland semi final, from 2000 to 2009. They have won eight of those, losing to Meath in 2001 and Tyrone in 2003. Eight finals they have played, winning a phenomenal five in this era. Defeating Galway in 2000, Mayo in 2004 and 2006 and Cork in 2007 and 2009. There have been a few ups and downs in this time period, of this there is no doubt. The two semi defeats were noteworthy on their score lines alone, not pretty for Kerry. The three All Ireland final defeats to Armagh (2002) and Tyrone (2005 and 2008) were hard to swallow as well. But this team took these defeats in stride and after each defeat they regrouped and set out to re write the next chapter in their teams' career. Doing so with the fierce conviction of men willing to put in the sweat to achieve their goal. After each defeat these players had to deal with the internal strife that comes with such sporting matters. To compound matters these amateurs had to endure with constant media hounding and most of all had to answer to their neighbors, friends and strangers regarding defeats to Kerry's football tradition. It would have been understandable for players to retire or get on with the next phase of their lives. But no, they did not chose that route, they stood their ground. These boys are amateurs remember and put up with some serious criticism, some of that finger pointing is truly unfair I add. These guys train year round, maintain a job and come the good weather they are expected to don the green and gold and write new chapters in the annals of the most storied of footballing counties every year. That is a huge demand for any person. And guess what, that is just what these boys do year in, year out. Their love of the county jersey is unmatched. That is why they put themselves through the hardships of training and personal judgment from we, the Kerry animal that Paidi penned so correctly. It is all about the jersey!!!! So I take my hat off to these players and salute their efforts. They keep the little boy in me alive! And with each September victory they ensure that the young Kerry fans who look up to their footballing idols,; will one day want to emulate their green and gold heroes and keep this Kerry tradition alive for generations to come. I will not attempt to single out one or even four or five players. That would be unfair and impossible and I do not have all feckin' night. This panel is a true team, in every sense of the word. And they should be hailed as such. Thank you for #36 today boys. To the starting fifteen, the subs and the management team, we are grateful. I classify this team among the greatest the game has ever seen!!! Heres to an enjoyable and short winter!!!

The morning after and it seems like a dream!
But it's not, we really won no 36. Sam is heading back to the Kingdom and all is right with the world again.
It mightn't have been the prettiest match but for me it was pure edge of seat stuff from start to finish. In a word it was determination. These lads were determined to win no matter what. Their dogged skills would have held twice as many Corkmen at bay. I think Tom O' Sullivan fully deserved his MOTM award highlighting the importance of our backs in the game. I would have put Tommy Griffin in the same company. He had an early slip but recovered magnificently. Marc made some great runs, so much so that some people beside me mistook him for Tomas. Diarmuid pulled off at least one fine save - we surely wouldn't even have been at the match without him. In midfield Seamus Scanlon was at his magnificent best - it will be a gross injustice if he misses out on an All Star this year. We may have seen the last appearance of the legend that is Darragh, but if so what a way to go. And Tadhg would have made his father proud - the interview afterwards would have drawn tears from a stone. If he wants he can return to Australia with honour, but stick around Tadhg, tá tu óg fos and there will be other days like this. I have to mention Paul Galvin who (occasionally rightly) was much maligned last year - his development this year has been a revelation and proved wrong all those who said that without living on the edge he would be a far less passionate player. Tommy was the best upfront ably supported by Declan and the Gooch. Captain Darran did his usual terrier runs and in a gracious speech (starting as Gaeilge - for the purists who were unhappy at his League speech) he paid tribute to you and me, the ordinary supporters who trudge through the back of beyond to cheer on our team and BELIEVE.
It's going to be great heading to work tomorrow graciously accepting any congratulations my Northern frieds may bestow upon me and smiling indulgently at any remarks about a soft game and how Cork did our dirty work for us by beating a certain team.
Go raibh mile maith agat a Jack - Ciarrai go deo!
Now what about number 37 ;D

The victory was sweet but the best part for me yesterday was the interview with tadhg after the match , it bought tears to my eyes , the emotion, what that man has given (& has given up) for the kerry cause is unbelievable , and lets not forget the jig ! thank you tadhg

Did anyone hear Martin Mc Hugh on RTE radio this morning. He described the Cork team as a bunch of chokers if they dont win an all Ireland soon. A bit insulting to be honest and very disrespectful to a team that played some brilliant football this year.

I dont know who I am most happy for?
Tadhg with his priceless medal
Galvin... surely the footballer of the year
Mike McCarthy..... who showed was a marvellous footballer he is.
Seamus Scanlon...... he simply has to get an All Star now
Donncha Walsh..... who was centrally involved in the 3 final points and puts the jersey before any personal disappointment as being dropped
Diarmaid Murphy...... who varied his kickouts this year and saved us again yesterday
Tommy Griffin...... after being unjustly dropped for last years final
Darragh........ the spring might be gone but the brain and the immaculate footpassing remain as sharp as ever
Micheal Quirke....... finally saw action in a final and boy was it crucial.
Davin Moran....... a great end to a difficult season and a man for the future.
All the usuals....... Declan, Gooch, Tommy Walsh, Darren, Tom Sullivan, Tomas, Marc, Killian did the business as we have come to expect from them.
Finally...... the management team.
They have got it right since the qualifiers began.
They have been ruthless.
They have been fair in my view.
Substitutions got Kilkenny over the line against Tipp.
Substitiutions gave Kerry the vital final kick yesterday.
Well done
and Thank You all.
Yesterday was as near a perfect day as is possible to get.
Finally........ Marty Duffy. This man has never been unfair to Kerry. He is a straight shooter. Its a pity he wasnt the ref in 2008. We might have 4 in a row now.

Congratulations to Kerry. I'm sure you are all over the moon today! Ye played well yesterday. Tommy Walsh was excellent for ye. Disappointed with Cork's performance, but hopefully, we'll be back again next year. We didn't have a bad year over all, McGrath Cup, div 2 league champions and Munster title and beating Tyrone. Enjoy the celebrating.

The potential of this Cork team is huge and I feel will probably only get stronger.

Great win. Thrilled for the lads. We were very lucky to get to the final but were the best team on the day.Suppose all except Dara will be in for 2010. Will Tadgh go back? Worse still will Tommy go too? Hope not . Heard that Ciaran Sheehan of Cork not going now.

"This one is the sweetest of the lot"
Congrats and thanks to the players and management for delivering no 36.
A special thanks to Jack,Mike and Tadhg who came back on board and threw their hands to the pump after events of last September. Its always special correcting past mistakes.
My greatest memory from '09 is walking into the Bridge House in Tullamore and seeing the place thronged with the Green and Gold after the poor showing in Longford and later the passion from the kerry crowd as the game unfolded on the pitch. That and the reception Colm and Tomas received on their arrival reminded me that football still really matters to kerry people.Sometimes its easy to forget that in places like Scotstown,Bellaghy and Letterkenny on bad winters days when the players are busting a gut in front of small travelling crowds.
Through the letter box this year Jack has dropped the Hogan Cup,the National league and the All- Ireland championship.Thats serious management on any mans terms, three doubles in four seasons this decade must entitle Jack to be considered the best manager around in the modern game.An Outsider no more I would suggest.Jack I salute you and thanks for a massive year, not forgetting the contributions of your two sons Cian and Eanna on the playing fields also while landing the All-Ireland Club Intermediate Championship and the Hogan Cup.It should make for a great Christmas Dinner at St Finnians Bay under the watchful eye of Skellig Michael as the days begin their wee stretch again.
This will shorten a winter of discontent rumbling in the churning bowl of NAMA,Lisbon, cut backs, deflated property bubbles and all the rest of the trappings of people that lost the run of themselves.
So with the winter gales ravaging off the gables that contain the roaring fires within, kerry hearts will rest easy knowing that our soul mate is resting up in the kingdom somewhere.
Thanks to all involved with kerrry football from the teachers in the schools, the lads down at the clubs, the people at county board level to the players and management.
And o ya,
Hey Darragh, seven is better than six.
Ciarrai Abu.

My overwhelming feeling today is one of gratitude.
Gratitude to the players for all their hard work in getting to the Final - and then their hardworking display yesterday.
Gratitude to all panel, the Management Team and all the support heroes.
Gratitude to them all - they provide us with affirmation, once again, of our uniquely fortunate position of being Kerry people.
Blessed as we are with our writers, our musicians, our magic scenery - it is the wearers of the Green and Gold who confer on us our unique identity.
Yesterday was the first time for my grandson to witness a Kerry win in an All-Ireland. Most importantly, his first Final last year taught him that winning is not automatic - learning how to deal with both defeat and victory.
His bedroom is festooned with posters of all his favourite Kerry players - and he does'nt even have the good fortune to live in the Kingdom. But his identity is firmly set - there is no truer Kerry spirit.
Without the wearers of the Green and Gold, his Kerry heritage would be a neutral part of his life.
That is what the wearers of the Green and Gold do for us - and, sure, it is great fun along the way.
We have got ourselves quite a nice deal.

Congratulations to a magnificent Kerry Team and Management!
This one must be one of the sweetest victories for sure. Last ten minutes Kerry really showed how to defend. Very happy for Tom Sullivan. Too many to mention but I have to mention Paul Galvin ,he was all over the field never stopped running.
Thank you all so much from Kerry fans in Toronto, Ontario.

Congratulations to Kerry ... Very exciting game and you played a stormer ... A fantastic team all round and after the initial shock was dealt with you always looked like you were going to win .. Fair play too to T Kennelly who looked so delighted after the win that he was like a little kid .. great to see what it means to people like that.
Again, well done Kerry and hard luck to Cork, this will be a hard one for them to get over I think.

Congratulations to Kerry. I'll leave it at that, if you don't mind.
I think Cork are not finished by any means, in spite of what those buffoons masquerading as analysts on the Sunday Game think.
I will exclude Pat Spillane from that last bit; after all he is a Kerryman and I understand a little prejudice! However, it's hard to understand what the others have against us.
No doubt we'll get over it, because you can't just stand still. See you fellows in the league next year.

Two of my nieces and one of my nephews had their first outing to Croke Park yesterday - What a day for them! What a day for all of us! Another nephew was also there last year so it was great that he got to see Kerry win. All supporters were in top form and banter was great. Also I must mention that I had to "drop" some of the children around the stands as we had no tickets beside each other - I'm grateful to the supporters that sat beside them and kept a watchful eye.
It was SUCH a BRILLIANT DAY ;D- Thank you Jack & Management team Agus Go raibh míle míle míle maith agaibh to the KERRY TEAM.

Thanks a million Owenabue, very gracious and I know how today feels. This Cork team will come again. Kerrygold that was a fine post and makes me homesick especially as I was here in front of the computer alone. The stream was frozen so commentary only, switched over to Micheal as he called the lads home in the final five; magic! Winter here in France will be much shorter knowing that Sam is back home. All the piseoga worked; big fry, geansai on at the right time, no women in the house! We are steeped to have men such as these to represent us and we must do our best to support them whenever possible. This is indeed a sweet victory; sorry to be crude, but up yours Pat! The lads must now face into the county championship, vital county league matches and the joy of North Kerry championship in December maybe even January for some if they're lucky! The end to a perfect year will be Churchill to do the Division Five/ Novice double. Again thanks to all in the Kingdom set-up and let us appreciate this team; one of the finest ever.

fair play owenabue, never easy after a defeat. this cork team will win at least one all-ireland, a hard lesson for some of their younger forwards, but we've all had hard lessons in Croker, its what you take form it, and Counihan is too sharp not to turn it into a positive.

Kerry's win yesterday was more special because of how hard they fought to come back and hold off and frustrate a strong Cork team yesterday... we all know they can play football and didn't need to see all the fancy stuff yielding no result - the result was important for so many reasons and the way it was grafted out was more special....
one mention on the pitch - it appeared to me that once again players were slipping all over the place - it doesn't seem to suit a tight sharp turn off foot? Anyone else feel that way?
And yes as someone has already mentioned - we finally had a Ref that did us justice and had he been there for all the pulling and dragging over the years ... who knows what may have happened
Congrats to this incredible bunch of lads ..... Go raibh maith agat go leir...
