Very unfair on kerry supporters if on saturday as games are 5pm and 7pm. Last train out of Dublin is 19.05. Hotels are crazy money. All these factors should be factored in etc.

Is the game confirmed as a double header with the dubs? Would think the GAA would want the Dubs v Mayo or Kerry v Tyrone on the Saturday in order to maximise attendances and revenue via GAA Go. Unless they feel the 3 northern teams will bring a big crowd between them on Saturday. Fixtures won’t be announced until the afternoon- cannot see Kerry on with Dublin - think Kerry will be on Sat precedes by Derry/Cork. A lot of season tickets between Kerry, Dublin & Mayo. Agree, think Derry v Cork will precede Kerry v Tyrone on Saturday. Armagh v Monaghan should be before Dublin v Mayo on Sunday. Splitting the 2 plum ties makes sense to get bums on seats. The guards would probably advise avoiding bringing 3 Ulster teams into Dublin on the 1 day in order to manage traffic. Presume Kerry game will throw in at 6 to avoid city centre congestion after the game as most shoppers will be gone home.

In reply to ciarrai74, things like that should be factored in but rarely are. As has been said above Mayo will most likely to given til Sunday so that cuts down the options.
Tyrone have scoring forwards whom I would worry about.

Realistically with the quality of Tyrone's forwards and the midfield deficit Kerry ought to be playing very defensively in this one, try and force Tyrone to hold the ball and then look to hit them on the counter-attack.
I'm fairly fed up personally of turning up to play Tyrone with our default settings and getting chinned. I would much prefer to park the arrogance and set up in the way that gives us the best chance to win, whatever that way happens to be. Tyrone always have a plan for Kerry, Kerry have never had much of a plan for Tyrone in my memory. Either way I think we're really up against it in this one, would love to win it but don't fancy us much.
I like the fact that they were talking about Shane Ryan pushing way up on the kick outs against Louth. Gives me some hope that we have tactical ideas worked on yet to be revealed when you hear about guys doing something they haven't really done before in an untelevised game.

5pm and 7pm throw-in times for the Saturday. Not ideal for traveling home few hundred km! Added to this, the other match could well be Monaghan v Armagh. Outnumbered northern support 3 : 1I wouldn’t be so sure about that. Kerry might have a lot of fans at the weekend not wearing green and gold

Outnumbered northern support 3 : 1 Hi John, If we are on the same day as Monaghan v Armagh, I would not expect the Monaghan crowd to support their neighbours! No much GAA love goes up the N2! Here, don’t leave us out! We share a border with Tyrone as well!

Who would Kerry fans support in the other game? For me: If Cork-Derry, Derry. If Armagh-Monaghan, Monaghan - sorry Ard Mhacha!

Why are we so afraid of tyrone? We have beat them 3 out of the last 4 times we’ve played in championship and probably would have won in 21 if clifford didnt get injured Probably psychological- this current Tyrone squad are nothing like team of the early noughties, but they seem to raise their game when they play us - ABK from Mickey Harte, Dooher etc in ‘05.

Last year felt almost inevitable as you could see the structure building week by week. This year we've looked listless and disorganised - would be some moment to reveal that we've been holding ourselves for the next few weeks.

Look its like this we're the All Ireland champions, we've possibly the greatest player ever to grace a field firing on all cylinders judging by last week. Another generational talent finding much needed form too. We have ample motivation given the 2021 debacle as it is let alone them pipping us in the League the last two years running.
Tyrone lost to Monaghan, lost to Galway should have lost to Westmeath. They beat Armagh in a poor, low scoring encounter and put up a decent score against a Donegal team that a mess really given everything that happened to them this season.
Yes its a bloody tough draw and yes we have issues to fix but there is nothing I've seen from Tyrone this year to terrify me about this game either.
If we can bring the form of last Sunday with us to Croker in 5 days time we'll be hard beat.

Who is Brendan Cawley ? GAAGo... This won't go down well. GAA Go Here we go again, the inevitable uproar from the small but loud contingent of so called supporters will unfortunately be heard throughout the course of the week. Think its time people appreciated we have a means of watching almost every game played this championship at a very fair price.

Was 2021 the year they dosed the water bottles? Will u stop with that * horsebox77 they beat us fair and square that day and I’m my opinion they have our number and it will be a repeat again this Saturday, our backs just simply can’t handle Tyrone

We can't be complaining re the time anyway! Should be a great battle Tyrone have been average since they won the AI but we know they usually save their best for us ! They have a serious midfield and dangerous forwards I think their two half lines haven't been great so hopefully gavin white will be back.

Who is Brendan Cawley ? GAAGo... This won't go down well. See this is the problem with us kerry fans were already giving out about everything to do with the game , first of all giving out about it being on gaa go it’s the all Ireland champions playing against the last team to beat them in championship this game should be on gaa go. The gaa have to make their money somehow. And another thing we’re already giving out about the ref would ye not give him a chance ffs and watch the game. Seems every time I come on here it’s either people giving out about the ref. royalkerryfan this is the reason rival fans take the piss outta us is cause we making excuses before the game even thrown in.

I think they considered Kerry as best they could. Mayo - Dublin had to be Sunday. Kerry - Tyrone with this would be too big.
Kerry had to be Saturday and the earlier one suits those traveling home to Kerry after. Focus on the job now.

On the ref, Brendan Cawley is one of the newer referees, has been officiating at national level for a couple of years. He has often been linesman for some of the more prominent guys. I'm pretty certain we've had him before , maybe a league match.

Personally I think this is the fairest time for Kerry to play. I'm not travelling a distance this time but it gives those who are a decent time to get to and from. We need big support there on Saturday, lets get behind Jack and the boys, wear the Green & Gold and let them know we're there.
