It was inevitable. Now will it be a Saturday or Sunday. Hunch is Sunday as you'd probably slot Dublin and Mayo Saturday evening.

Larry M said they’d try to give Mayo an extra day? Hard to see them having Kerry, Tyrone, Mayo and Dublin on the same day. So Kerry Sat is my guess

Going by Larry Mayo Dublin will be Sunday and by that logic we will be Saturday.

5pm and 7pm throw-in times for the Saturday. Not ideal for traveling home few hundred km!

Larry McCarthy waw hinting on radio that Mayo Dublin would be on the Sunday to allow Mayo the extra day rest. With Kerry Tyrone being the next biggest game I'd imagine they will have us on a separate billing to the Dub Mayo game, which means it will likely be the Saturday. Confirmation will be given by the CCCC this afternoon.

RTE are showing their 2 games on Sunday..you'd have to think Kerry v Tyrone and Dublin v Mayo will be their choices

Dublin, Mayo and Kerry can't all be on the same day I'd say due to the number of season ticket holders in these 3 counties are the biggest in the country. Unmanageable I think.

We know what Tyrone will bring - ultra organisation, non-stop aggression, endless running, plenty sh1thousery and an ample amount of craft and guile up front.
It's 4 wins apiece in Championship encounters and we have a number of players who were involved 2 years back - many of whom struggled in the face of Tyrone's manic running and tackling on the day.
Forewarned will hopefully be forearmed and we will be tuned in from the throw-in as this will be a very hard won game.

Who's going to mark Darragh Canavan. He's be in great form lately. Tom O'S is not really a man marker.

Tom is an excellent man marker, ok he seems to struggle on Ryan O’Donoghue and he met Shane Walsh on the worst possible day but he usually does a brilliant job on the opposition danger man. I think Tom will take Darragh Canavan, Foley on McCurry and Paul Murphy to pick up Ruairi Canavan if he starts and he might not because against Kerry Tyrone may opt for another physical worker rather than 3 inside forwards.

Tom has done a good job on McCurry in the past so I think they may stick with that. Foley is our stand out defender and for me he picks up D Canavan. Graham likely to Pick up R Canavan. They will certainly play Myler on Paidi and Hampsey on David. It's imperative that we get Paidi into the game. I've no doubt this draw will focus the minds. Make no mistake this is the toughest draw we could have gotten.

You get what you wish for, Tyrone it is, they are making steady progress, their MF prob the best partnership in todays game, the Canavan boys are lifting, mccurry also buzzing, we will be busy in defence, the likes of myler and McGeary are coming into form.
Time to ponder.

I don’t think Foley would be suited to picking up Darragh Canavan, there’s a big size difference and Canavan is so tricky and always moving. At least with McCurry he’ll stay close to goal and you know he’s just trying to work a shot off the left.

Time to ponder. There was a 50/50 chance so it was very likely to happen. I agree with everything you say above. This is the toughest draw but we have to embrace it now. You can be sure they didnt want us either. For all our errors in 2021 we were 1 point away after extra time. We can't be as nieve again and you'd expect us to be more patient, more structured, and far more disciplined in the tackle and in our shape. A penny for Paddy Tallys thoughts this morning a tough place to be.

Outnumbered northern support 3 : 1 Hi John, If we are on the same day as Monaghan v Armagh, I would not expect the Monaghan crowd to support their neighbours! No much GAA love goes up the N2!

We're finally at the business end of the championship.
The last 2 all-Ireland winners face off.
2 different footballing philosophies.
Tyrone looked in the mood vs. Donegal, very impressive press, powerful midfield and the 2 Canavans adding to their scoring threat since last we met.
It's all about executing on the day.
Exciting times.

Referee will need to very strong Sunday as no love lost between teams. Make no doubt about it that Tyrone will use the 'Dark Arts' on the Cliffords.

Is the game confirmed as a double header with the dubs? Would think the GAA would want the Dubs v Mayo or Kerry v Tyrone on the Saturday in order to maximise attendances and revenue via GAA Go. Unless they feel the 3 northern teams will bring a big crowd between them on Saturday.

Less hassle from the other 4 🤔

Fixtures won’t be announced until the afternoon- cannot see Kerry on with Dublin - think Kerry will be on Sat precedes by Derry/Cork. A lot of season tickets between Kerry, Dublin & Mayo.
