Just noticed St. Brendans are gone. How did that happen? Kenmare did very well to pull a result away from home. Will they have any chance against Stacks I wonder? was In attendance Brendan’s never fired at all kenmare very well setup kept danger man Thomas Kennedy away from the goal as much as possible and only limiting him to frees

East Stacks North? From what I heard East were a shambles against Mid kerry...Threw away a big lead. Stacks put up a big total against West Kerry...

I see North kerry are drawn against Stacks in the semi? 2 best teams in it. It would have made a great final.

I agree. Both East and Stacks have had 4 games to get tuned properly. North have only had 2...big disadvantage. Dunno much about Kierans..Haven't seen them playing.

Interesting viewpoint, out of curiosity have you seen many North Kerry teams in county league action this year, or the NK Div 1 or 2 league games/final?
If you have compare that to the county league fair of AS without Kirby in midfield, Murphy manning six or Lane in at FF, then compare the NK Cohesion as a collevtive divisional side as opposed to a starting XV team.
There will be good clashes in A'dorney,
County Minors will pair up. Murphy on Healy, Lane picked up by Mulvihill but more importantly, Kirby will play on Kennelly asbthe minor captain Boyle is at six . Unless NK restore the county captain to his natural position NK may be on trouble in this sector.
Trust me I hope NK win, all will be cheering Costello's lads and they are capable of winning, just need tinkering or playing lads in their natural position.

Putting Boyle at 6 instead of midfield is a puzzling selection.

Are ye sure he’s not just wearing 6 and playing middle of park as Eddie Healy done the same thing last year No he was 6 on thr first outing vs South Kerry, Kennelly was midfield with the Senan's lad as his partner. Last day in Killorglin, Pa Walsh started at 6 to mark Gammal with Boyle initially going to 7 but did play in or around the area. What's more puzzling was the kerry minor wing/centre forward Keeffe, selected at 4 and was there for Forty odd minutes. What some may not know was a few of the Tarbert Comp. School lads had their Debs ball the evening of the Killirglin game and were released to attend. The aces are, they are still winning and winning well, my fear is they have had no challenge and may not know their starting or best positional fifteen. Whereas EK and Stacks may be more battle hardened. What is in there favour is they have a panel of football brains on the field and can adapt or adjust if required.. I just feel AS or more cohesive and may nick this one..

Pity the 2 semi finals are on at the same time tomorrow night. A double header would have given everyone the chance to see all 4 teams.

North Kerry won 3-18 to 2-20 after extra time great advert for Kerry underage football One of the best games I have been at in a long time, credit to both panels, NK got the rub of the green, three balls into the square fisted to the net. Evan Boyle kicked the winner in the dying minutes of ET.. this young lad is something special, really stood up when it mattered, but to both sides, well done

North Kerry won 3-18 to 2-20 after extra time great advert for Kerry underage football You can say that again! An absolute feast of a game in front of a great crowd in Abbeydorney. This one had it all - the kickpassing, the high fielding, pace, skill, some fabulous scores. And above all, the drama. Stacks down by 7 going into the last quarter looked dead and buried but refused to give up. 1-2 by the Rockies at the death brought it to extra-time. NK mined a 2-point lead in the 2nd period of ET, only to be pegged back level. Took the lead once more only for Stacks to manufacture an equalising free with time virtually up. From the resulting kickout, with penalties seeming inevitable, Evan Boyle burst through the middle and hit a monster winning point with the last kick of the game. Tough on Stacks, neither side deserved to lose but credit to all involved. Best game of the year by a mile.

What a cracker from Stacks and North Kerry. Football was the winner last night. Stacks should be proud of their efforts. Anybody in Milltown?

North Kerry will be in pole position Monday night. Hard to see them beaten after the display they gave in the semi.Boyle looks a different class...A few of the forwards Healy etc. look unmarkable on their day.

Does anyone know why North Kerry are so strong all of a sudden? After a dearth of talent for years. Eamon Fitzmaurice was over a task force a few years ago looking into producing talent in North Kerry.

Grass roots input at club level and development squad group training coming to fruition.
Being honest the management team were tinkering in earlier rounds but played most players in their natural positions last Monday night and it showed in tge performance
It's highly likely that they could do a clean sweep of U15, U17 to add to the U21 title they won last month.
East Kerry had similar success but the primary difference is the volume of NK that are amalgamated. Northern Gales are formed from Ballylongford, Ballydonoghue, Asdee and Clounmacon. In some age groups Tsrbert and Beale are joined. So the concept of ah it's fourteen clubs is a misconception.
But yes, the joining of Shannon and Feale Rangers has been successful, it was initially piloted as a three year project. It will be interesting to see will clubs embrace or divide when up for discussion Friday night.

Well done to North Kerry on the win .Look lads the reason they are winning all of a sudden is the amalgamation and the sheer volume of numbers including the large town of listowel. They should win mon night as I was at East Kerry v South Kerry and talking to East Kerry supporters this is their poorest team for years .However the fear for North Kerry is they fall away at senior level and it was shocking that two north Kerry clubs could not field a team in the championship last week .This will undo the work being done underage combined with a very poor school system and no north kerry school in tomorrows draw for the Corn Ui Mhuiri .This is how to bridge the gap from minor u17 to schools u19 and then on to senior ..

Hard to see how East kerry could be in a final and their own supporters think this is their worst team in years! It doesn't seem a good reflection on the standard of football at this age group in the county (Austin Stacks and North Kerry game aside).

Just giving this one a bump with the final being this evening. If it's half as good as the Stacks/ NK semi, we could be in for a treat.
8.00 at ASP

NK can have no complaints, EK were the better drilled and cohesive unit.
I will say one thing though, Evan Boyie is some baller and despite his tender age, he needs to be looked at by county U20's at the very least.
Many felt this years Minors were better than last years winning side, I would still argue that point but there has been something amiss all year.
Still hats off to EK, even though their keeper made three great saves and won man of the match, North were chasing for the majority of the hour.

I was on the terrace on the halfway line and I didn't hear any speaker. There was a concert of some sort coming from the town, it was loud enough - maybe that's what you heard? Anyway, congrats to EK. Worked just that bit harder for it. Game littered with mistakes, never lived up to the quality of the s/f.
