Ardfert edged a tough game against Listowel with an injury-time free - 2-14 to 2-13 at the end. Emmets led by 3 at the break but it was never likely to be enough with a strong wing to face in the second half. Entertaining game, close all through and occasionally spiky. A healthy crowd got value for the tenner.

Big game Saturday evening between emmets and firies!! Can we somebody please explain to me, as I have no clue, how are the 2 qualifiers decided?
Say if emmets beat firies and ardfert beat skellig... that leaves emmets, ardfert and firies on 4 pts each?

A win would guarantee Emmets a quarter final, as they already have a better score difference than Firies.

You’d have to fancy Ardfert for the junior.
Rob Monahan, Mackassey, Brandon Barrett etc are great dual players and they have a good solid team all round

Listry for me, young team that should have won it last year only for Clifford heroics at the death. Very strong around the middle with two lads on the senior squad for the all Ireland final

Ardfert in the SF and Listry in the final should have beaten Fossa.

Semi final draw Ballymac v Ardfert Listowel v Annascaul Group 1 winner vs Group 2 winner Group 1 runner-up vs Group 2 runner-up Winner of first match must be favourites. Group A was extremely tight with nothing between Firies, Ardfert & Emmets. The three teams beat each other and all these games were decided by a solitary point. Came down to scores against Skellig in the end; Ardfert maybe benefitted by getting them last, with Skellig already out. Ballymac must be favourites at this stage though.

Picked up 4 points in county league and relegated. Poor showing in group stages here and saw that castlegregory hammered them in the play off for relegation…They could have beaten gnevguilla in the final 2 years ago. Big drop off

Listowel 0-14 Annascaul 1-9
Listowel got the better start, going three up early on. Annascaul owned the 2nd quarter and we were level, 8 apiece, at halftime.
Emmets turned the screw after the break, completely dominating the 2nd half and leading by 5 down the home strait. Annascaul's first score of the half, a free, took over 20 minutes to come. Their second was a scrambled goal from a lobbed ball in the dying seconds, the fulltime whistle coming after the resulting kickout.
Decent game on a smashing day in Tralee. Narries have a lovely set up there.

Final today week in ASP
A hard game to call with emmets seemingly going well under Marc o Se and Ballymac after a good year in Division 1.
