Cork aren't a patch on that Clare team we played last week

Well considering the (over)reaction from some about the win last week, I think Tomas and his young men desire a few apologies.
Brilliant performance and the goal sent home within 20 seconds set the tone for a hectic and relentless assault on Cork.
William Shine was outstanding (an over hit hand pass to but his teammate through on goal aside). Some exceptional points from placed ball and also shooting under huge pressure. Looks to have all the right stuff to be seen in the senior setup in in the next couple of years.
Tougher tests ahead for sure but you have to be happy. Letting in a soft goal at the end aside, I think the defence as a unit was great. Yes Cork got a couple of other chances for majors late on but realistically the game was over.
Is it Sligo up next, will be an intriguing contest!
Hon D Kingdom.

Brilliant win. Well done to Tomas, more than made up for last week's performance.
A great night for Kerry. Sligo will be a huge challenge, the form team in the country

A much improved performance indeed, congrats to Tomas, his management team, and the players most especially tonight.
Attack might win you games (and the lads didn't put too much wrong in that regard either, especially young William Shine) but defence wins you titles as the saying goes, and the Kerry defence can definitely attest to that tonight, even if there was still shaky moments (and a late goal to boot), but at least they have another day out to rectify these issues.

Comments about young lads eating Orio Biscuits and playing the PlayStation or whatever was bang out of order for young lads wearing the Kerry shirt. Turns out Clare weren't that bad after all. Well done Kerry brilliant performance.

Shine got man of the match but I would have given it to Keith Evans. I thought he was fantastic. Great win.

Impressive showing from Kerry... defence still looks leaky but attack looks like scoring big scores. If we can maybe shore up the defence we will compete. Cian McMahon looks a alot better on the 40 in my opinion, him with Rob Monahan and Keith Evans is a strong line. Will Shine was on fire and I was hugely impressed with Luke Crowley when he came in. Onto Sligo now next which won't be easy. Ciarrai Abú

Does if get much sweeter than beating Cork in Pairc Ui Chaoimh by double scores after being written off? Fair play to all the young players involved, an excellent win. Shine and Evans the 2 standouts but I thought Jack Clifford who only came into the team because of Monahan’s suspension had a huge game.

Lads easy does it, don’t be getting carried away, lots of work to be done, a right poor cork performance tonight, the amount of butchered chances by them was frightful.
Shine was class the difference really, well supported by Burke and a late cameo by Evans.
A lot to do to win an all ireland, IMO.

Luke Crowley had a superb game when he came on. ideal man to play ball into, on the counter attack.

Great win but Cork were woefull - think they never recovered from the two early goals Kerry scored and nothing went right for them thereafter.
Delighted for the Kerry team and management - they survived a terrible start against Clare and have made the most of it by winning Munster with a solid victory over Cork which is always sweet, particularly when done in PUC.
When the game is reviewed in the coming days there will be plenty of areas identified for improvement if the journey is to end in ultimate success - we gave up too many goal chances that another team may take advantage of and we were not ruthless enough with our own opportunities.
The dream of an AI is still alive - a good evening's work

You'd wonder how poor Limerick were after that Underage football can be littered with mistakes and you'd have to say they improved massively from last week. Disappointed they conceded that late goal as a clean sheet would have been brilliant given the goals conceded last week.

I'd say Sligo lads absolutely buzzing tonight with the prospect of playing Kerry. They've no fear and after winning 3 huge games, will be a battle and a half for Kerry.

Kerry were much too good but analysis must be tempered by the paucity of the opposition- Cork were simply brutal - not one player stood out & they were a beaten docket by half time. Kerry had their homework done & there was plenty to enthuse about - defence still looks a bit shaky but midfield was good & forwards were in the main clinical - Keith Evans was my MOTM and was followed closely by Paudie O’Leary, Shine & Jack Clifford - Clifford’s workrate was immense. Luke Crowley was impressive & Rob Monahan’s return will further improve us - hearing Ennis on Sat 6th as possible semi final venue.

Dunno lads, can't say Cork were brutal and then all the criticism over Clare game last weekz just because they were Clare.
If we beat Clare by the same scoreline tonight and beat Cork after ET last week by 1 score, it would be all smiles on here when the reality is Clare are much better than people give credit for and we had a huge win job done tonight
Hard to please some

Not our problem but Cork football is really in the doldrums.
The population of the city is on a par with the whole of Kerry - the representation from city clubs tonight was abysmal - Nemo had one sub, St Finbarrs nobody, Nicks, St Michael’s, Bishopstown nobody - Douglas one, Na Piarsaigh nobody, Ballincollig one.
It’s hard to fathom.

The Munster Final was last week v Clare. Tonight was a mismatch against a weaker county. Thank God for Clare as otherwise Kerry would be completely uncooked going into a semifinal against a battle hardened Sligo team. Sligo's defense will be much better than Cork or Clare. They'll have a sweeper in front of Shine and will counter attack at speed.

I always think that at under age we perform better away from home as pressure is less- no mistake though, Clare would have disposed of Cork too tonight.

My point was more about disrespect for Clare than anything. If we lose to Sligo, same thing. Wouldn't be half the doom and gloom if it was Galway despite the fact Sligo are clearly best team in Connacht.

Overall a great win considering the Clare performance. Cork were poor definitely but you can only beat what’s in front of you . Shine Evans Burke and O’Leary were very good . Crowley when he came in did well . More improvement is needed but hopefully they’ll keep improving . Games are better than training sessions.

Getting overly excited or pessimistic re underage performances has once again proven to be a fools errand. Underage teams by virtue of the maturity involved can often lead to vastly different performances. Fair play to all involved

Good win. Game was over after the first few minutes to be honest. Haven't had a chance to watch it back and looking into the sun was a balls at the match. Thought some of our shot selection was v poor at times. And our middle 8 took too much out of the ball especially in the first half when shine was one and one on his own inside and out in front of his man.
Small things I know. Was v impressed with our tackling and overall physicality.

If both were to meet tomorrow my money would be on Cork. I think Clare are getting too much credit for bringing Kerry to extra time. Besides the goals and their midfield I thought Clare were very poor. Did they score any points during first half? I'm just happy we won Munster but I would nt be bigging up Clare too much. Kerry were much improved v Cork. Will agree to disagree on Clare! Yes they did not score a point in the first half into the breeze but they had some standout performers, especially McNamara at midfield, something you could not say about Cork - no Cork player impressed me. Statistically Cork scored one point from play in the first half - after 4 mins; their 2nd half sub accounted for their total of 1-02 - when summarised, Cork scored one point from play from their starting 15 over 60 mins. Kerry were much improved and were dominant all over the pitch - great to be looking forward to an AI semi in a few weeks time!

kerry very much played a defensive game last night and crowded out Cork in our half of the pitch. then rapid transition to attack leaving just 2 or 3 lads up. the fitness levels were impressive, being able to carry the ball well to the last minute.
2 of the cork goal chances were from short kick outs that went wrong, badly wrong!

I think the main issue the campaign to date has thrown up is an old one - getting an underage team to perform to its ability particularly when there is no safety net.
Clare put us under severe pressure and we just about survived - several of our key players did not perform (or were not let perform). Cork may well feel the same way today about their performance last night but they are out and the season is over for them.
Sligo are Connaught champions on merit and we need to improve on last night if we are to keep our campaign alive - with only two weeks between games it will be more about mental preparation with some operational tweaks.

I wasn’t at the Clare game or even see the highlights. I didn’t expect a Kerry win yesterday, but ignorantly that was going on media submissions read. Kerry leaked four goals against Clare but looking at a side line of Seamus Moynihan, Tomas O’Se and Sean Walsh any defensive frailties were going to be met head on.
I didn’t realise until last night that Pat Flanagan was involved in the fitness and coaching ticket, Christ that is some backroom team.
Very impressed with our half back line last night in particular Heinrich and O’Leary, Moynihan is a physically imposing and solid full back. Up front the movement and link play was heightened by the looseness and inability of the Cork rear-guard. In hindsight it would appear that Clare are now the second best footballing team in Munster in most levels and maybe people underestimated how good there were last weekend.
On another note, Johnny Crowley won’t be looking at the postman, he cannot deny the young lad, he was very impressive when introduced, serious unit… He’ll be pushing for a starting berth, and one would assume Monahan will also return, that’s two additional physical units. Sligo are hardened and are the self-named “big dogs” after beating Mayo, Galway and the Rossies. Will be an interesting tussle.
