seaniebo, obnoxious statement from Gavin saying Mayo weren't on his radar, suppose Tipp were on his radar for the 1/4 final and Tyrone for the semi. Pure balder dash. Reminds me of the time when parkinson kept on asking hi m about the punchup with the armagh team last year, and he kept to his rehearsed line and kept on repeating it. must be his military training. Roll on the final. At what stage should Mayo have been on Dublin's radar in our preparation for games this year , Was Mayo on EF radar , I doubt very much ? All our Focus would have been on Donegal once we knew we were playing them for quarter final , 2014 would meant we could think of nothing else. Kerry would immediately have been the focus after that. Do you think Gavin should have put aside Saturday trainings sessions all year to focus on Mayo in case we both happened to get to the final . Stop whinging and looking for attention, Mayo are liike the spoilt kid at the party that feels they deserve all the attention even though it's not their birthday.

All year the dubs have been on Mayo's radar, gavin should have done training sessions with mayo in mind seeing as they were the only team to put it up to ye. Whats your view of gough's connections with st.judes? We will be ready for ye on 18th September, you wont know if it was a bus or a train that hit ye dubs.

Is that why ye lost to Galway, focusing on the Dubs too much. We wouldn't be as confident as ye of making a final , so we only take one game at a time. You said Rochford was eying the Dubs, I thought Aido, Andy and Cillian picked the team. Rumour has it Rochford just brings the sambos. Either way I'm sure this is your year, or was that last year, or the year before or the year before . Sorry I'm all confused.

I might see you on the mayo hill. 10 years since our last invasion. We will bring the aniversary bodrans up. Mayo Hill is Mayo only.

That's right we got rid of our manager last year and Connolly picks the team, you would want to be up early to catch you out. No flies on you. By the way is that the same Hill you packed out for the Tipp game.

A poor troubled soul who came on this forum hurting from the 14 semî defeat which he/she still hasn't got over. Hopefully not typical of Mayo supporters or you will have a cakewalk the next day out. Bizarrely he/she paraphrases Paidi with the "bus or train" remark. God help us!

Martin Brefeny on the indo saying officials should not be appointed to ref games of the county they're working in. Good man Martin , pity you didn't write that before last years final or last Sunday. Must be reading here.
Mon Mayo. Have to cheer on our country cousins. Reckon 31 other counties will be cheering them on too.

I'd prefer to see Dublin confirm their status as one of the great teams on Sept 18th and I don't see how Mayo can win anyway.

Man it's just impossible to cheer for Mayo I feel the same. Even if Kerry was going for their 10th AI final in a row v Mayo I couldn't cheer on Mayo. The sense of entitlement they have is unrivalled anywhere in the GAA.

Dermot I responded back in the same style as panther as his childish comment about team selection. What does his know of team selection for Mayo. He wud be the first to comment on Mayo if they failed to reach the final after ditching the previous management. Well turns out they have gotten to the final and proved the doubters wrong. Mayo will be ready for the final and have a game plan for the dubs, and are the only team who can match the dubs physically.

There's always one, in fairness a lot of the Mayo supporters I have met are polar opposites to this joker. I'm guessing it's some silly young fella who wouldn't even remember 96.
I can't see beyond Dublin for this one but I will be supporting Mayo, this is the last chance saloon for some of their players. My experience with Mayo supporters and indeed players in Croke Park has been positive.
While I have the utmost respect for Dublin & how they operate they don't need the win as much as Mayo and indeed the wider GAA community does. I don't believe that a Dublin win enhances the cause of the GAA generally.

Are you slightly imbalanced or whats the craic .. I mean, you do realise that I'm supporting Mayo dont you .. or are you too dumb to spot that ? I'll just have to remember that surely you're not representative of the majority of Mayo folk .. There can't be too many imbeciles like you about ... or, maybe all those final & semi-final defeats have begun to take their toll and you're the result .. oh dear

Don't seem to remember Mayo warming up and kicking balls into the hill 2013. You lot kearned your lesson! The campaign to fill the hill is underway much like in 2013. You will be welcomed with open arms just like in 2013. And just like in 2013 it will have no bearing on the result. I believe Dublin will win because they have a better team, a better manager and they know how to win finals. However it Mayo win I shall be leaving the country!!
