Have to admit I have been watching T20 today as it's on sky sports and I had to support he saffers. Hate that Protea nickname though they are forcing on them. I find the Test matches a terrible bore but the 20-20 is mighty. I have to disagree with you on that. How many days have I wasted watching a 5 day test which swings one way or another and one of the few games where it is very difficult to answer the question "Who's winning?". The other part of the game that I enjoy is the radio commentary where they can be discussing any topic under the sun. Great radio.

Will Cork actually try to win this, unlike against Mayo a few years ago when losing to Mayo gave them a handier final?

Will Cork actually try to win this, unlike against Mayo a few years ago when losing to Mayo gave them a handier final? Losing to Kerry is never an option for any Cork team. The supporters would call for Cuthbert's head if he would lose on purpose. It's always nice to walk around town in a Kerry jersey because of the comments but in the week before a Cork-Kerry game it turns very sour. I've had random people stopping and waving their fists at me this week...random people I don't really know but who have seen me in the kerry colours before in town. Nothing nasty of course but for Cork people losing to Kerry would be disastrous even if it was U8 curling.

Last year Cork showed little enough appetite when they could really have put Kerry in relegation trouble. This game does not matter to Cork -probably matters more to Kerry who will like to keep the momentum going.

Come on the Kingdom. The acid test of all Kerry teams is a match against the cocky neighbours. Let's hope it brings us to a semifinal. I think Dublin could be vulnerable without 'clucko' today so a Kerry win could prolong our league run

Cleaned out at midfield. Darren gone for a while I'd say looked like he teared his hamstring badly. Cork deservedly won. Brian Hurley is some footballer, he was worth the tenner admission alone. Couldn't understand why Kerry Mgt left Griffin on him for so long. A disappointing end to a promising league campaign.

Just in from the game. As Eamonn Dunphy would say, a shambles. Second half was embarassing.
Pity, cos a great crowd at it. Only Paul Murphy and Daithi Casey can hold their heads up after that one. Brian Hurley was awesome for Cork, though he had all the time in the world, you'd have to say.

Well I hope all our so called experts realise now how far behind the other serious All Ireland contenders we are. Today again showed how our physical conditioning and fitness levels are below par and nice light forwards can't win their own ball against strong pacey backs. Have we improved from this time last year the answer is no - wins against relegated westmeath and kildare and a rubbish tyrone is not progress, Paul Murphy the only positive from the campaign. Enjoy the few days in Portugal hope it's money well spent !!!

Very poor display, we were off the pace throughout, played second fiddle @ midfield while we were cleaned out in the half forward line where Kelly & Cahalane were outstanding. Hurley was brilliant and seemed to have loads of time every time he was on the ball. Looked like we had a heavy training session very recently , we were leaden footed all over the pitch. Let's hope the trip to Portugal in 10 days will revitalise us- on reflection we beat 3 teams, 2 of which were relegated the other, Tyrone failed to make the semis.

Massive let down today ,Cork short at least 6 of their best players,I said 2 mts ago in a post we will concede 10 goals in a big game if we continue with this full back line ,Management team worst in last 50 yrs,why wasnt Griffin replaced sooner ,Mark should have been moved to full back as his legs are gone for outfield,we could have brought on A Mahony to full back ,no we put Fitzgerald in there ,a very good footballer but only about 11 stone ,black guarding the young fellow,Why is J Buckley always falling, after today its very obvious why Crokes cant make an all ireland final,More worrying is why would Declan,Young ,Donaghy bother coming back to this set up.15 euro for this humiliation, congrats to the kerry hurlers who showed real bottle in the second half to beat the odds against Carlow,

Can't understand why nothing was done re Hurley at all. Griffin did his best but at times twas like target practice for Cork's forwards. It looked eerily similar to some of the underage games of recent years. On the plus side, we'll have Donegal and Monaghan to look forward to in Division One next year.

A raft of retirements and a manager in his first year in the job and Cork finish top of the league. I would say that Cork are absolutely delighted with the way things are going for them. Kerry were very average today and looked extremely tired for some reason or other. It's hard to pick out a few players who played well today. Cork on the other hand had terrific performances with Hurley leading the way for them. He's a super player but was given a very handy day by the Kerry backs who didn't go near him all day. Midfield was a no-show today with absolutely nothing working around the middle of the field. Cork won the midfield battle by clogging the centre and picking up breaking ball. Kerry kept kicking the ball out into the middle of the field all day long from their own kickouts which they were not winning. It was very same as what happened at the under21 game a few weeks ago. The forwards did ok in patches today with James O Donoughue being marked tight it was down to Geaney and O'Brien but they never got the ball in scorable positions. A disappointing end to a less than impressive league campaign by Kerry here's hoping to a very long and exciting summer.

Alot of travelling for the committed Kerry supporter Tyrone and Derry should be away matches next year but would expect Donegal and Monaghan to be at home. It's very unlikely that we will have to travel for all four although for geographical reasons I won't complain too much if we do!

Losing to the "noisy neighbours" is never a good thing but in a match that counted for little I am not worried, however I await the usual incisive and informative match reports with pleasure. Losing Darran O'Sullivan is not good news and it seems that his propensity towards injury is increasing which is unfortunate for him. It is the first week of April, Division 1 football has been secured for next year and why would Eamonn want to divulge anything to Cork this early in the year?

Will Cork actually try to win this, unlike against Mayo a few years ago when losing to Mayo gave them a handier final? What a pile of nonsense. Had to do something to motivate yis, in case 3 teams ended up on 8 points In fairness, yis did capitulate late on to Mayo in that last regulation league game when yis were clearly the better team (as proven by demolishing them in the final). Anyway, some performance by young Hurley today, keeps that up and he will be a real contender for POTY. Very impressive league by Cork, like a team released from the shackles. Hats off to a new coach for getting so many things right too. If some of your early retirements are enticed back, if your hurlers struggle, yis will be strong contenders for Sam. Cork will feel they should have had 1 or 2 more All-Is for the talent they had over the last decade or more. Strangely poor for Kerry after a good run. Physicality is a big issue for them without Donaghy or TOSé or Galvin et al. At least they can't get Cork in the All-I Qtr finals! But it's exactly the sort of challenge Kerry have always liked coming into championship. It's also a mostly young Cork team and Kerry didn't need to win today.
