Coming from Rathmore as I do a lot of us would go into Brannigans on the side street where Burger King is on O'Connell Street. Its great on a hot day as you can drink away on the street and theres no traffic. After the game, its the same and then maybe up to Flannerys.

The night before the game, it was always O'Shea's Merchant and The Brazen Head. I'm getting sick to the teeth of that now, though. I suppose it's cos I'm getting long in the tooth... Morning of the game - O'Shea's Hotel and Gill's. Post-match - maybe one in O'Shea's Hotel and then straight to Madigan's on O'Connell Street until after The Sunday Game.

Gresham before and then Gills afterwards.....but here in Tingtang land it's last orders from the night before, and then if Kerry win, a few pints in either Boucain Gregoir or Jetset that evening!!

O'Shea's Merchant always a great spot!! Definitely was always the Gresham beforehand and have been known to hit Flannerys on occasion! Folks ye are making me fierce homesick!!! I can almost taste the first cool pint of the morning with the ticket tucked in one back pocket and the match program rolled up in the other and the route to Croker alive with atmosphere and banter! And to top it all, you cant beat the feeling of when you walk into Croker and catch the first sight and sound of the crowd as it opens out in front of you!!!

always have a drink or two before the game. Calm me down and let my lungs expand. Before I hit the Royal. After then would be the Gresham / Palace bar and then (please God) the burlo. By the time the Sunday game comes along my adrenaline levels are still pumped, so much so I dont realise I havent eaten in over 12 hours and Im half pissed. Glory days.

Tom Mayes and Delahuntys at the bottom of Dorset Street. Seems to be an enclave for North Kerry men.
After the match, The Belvedere, across the road from Barrys.

Lads the Burlo is no more I'm afraid. Ye'll have to find a new watering hole.

Cleary's (Amien St), O'Casey's, Joxer's, Tommy Mayes, Findlater, Big Tree, McGowans & The Brian Boru for the beer garden. Occasionally The Gravediggers, and once or twice I've been kidnapped onto the southside & seen the horrors of The Dame Tavern, The Portobello, Cassidy's (Camden St), and Mulligans. Briody's & The Confession Box on Marlboro St also good, and Madigans O'Connell St for a few juke-box tunes. For the late night, Doyle's of College Green, or McGowan's Phibsboro

Stoney's on Temple St is a good place to reconvene after a game. Stay for an hour or so and then move on.

Mr Tierney Esq will reserve the right to partake of the hospitality of any of the bars that are situated within his native town And I might add, the gentleman is welcome in any of our hostelries
