Cleary's (Amien St), O'Casey's, Joxer's, Tommy Mayes, Findlater, Big Tree, McGowans & The Brian Boru for the beer garden. Occasionally The Gravediggers, and once or twice I've been kidnapped onto the southside & seen the horrors of The Dame Tavern, The Portobello, Cassidy's (Camden St), and Mulligans. Briody's & The Confession Box on Marlboro St also good, and Madigans O'Connell St for a few juke-box tunes. For the late night, Doyle's of College Green, or McGowan's Phibsboro Just keep away from the Gresham Big man, just keep away from the Gresham.............! Seamus? Hmmmmmmmmm, friend of Catherine??

I usually have an early coffee, and a late breakfast. This week I'll be having tea & biscuits, followed by some coddle The joys of living within spittin distance of Croke Park There's a spare Futon with the most comfortable mattress in Ireland available for anyone stuck for an overnight saturday or sunday. You also get pole position for the stereo ;D Be warned, I share my bothan with a mad Tipp man, though he might be at home, so there will be a spare room as well!

Well, for me and Owenabue junior, it's a case of waking up early, trying to eat breakfast, pack clothes for every eventuality, rush out the door, drive into the train station, be starving by Mallow so more tea and biscuits, arrive in Heuston nearly 3 hours later tired and cranky, go in search of food again and try to relax and not think about the match, head up O' Connell street, do some shopping, go in search of more food to get us through the match and then head towards Croke Park. On the way there we might bump into a few friends and head off in hopes that today is the day Cork kick ass.... By the time the match is over it is normally a big rush back to the train. So the thoughts of drink never enter my head at all.... P.s. I suppose the fact I'm trying to be a responsible adult might come into it as well.... Although it could be argued that subjecting her to Cork football is hardly being responsible.

I wasnt in a pub at that age, and yet look at me now! In fairness Abue, it's a long day on the road alright, but I wouldnt do it all in one day, I'd be making an overnight for sure. As I said, each to their own.

Can someone tell me where Brian Boru is. I think a beer garden will be called for sunday before the game. It's also called Hedigans, and it's beside the canal in Fibsboro. Lovely old pub, allegedly where King Brian Mullins knelt down to pray before the battle of Ballbough in the year 977 The beer garden is the best around, and the gentleman Rashers tierney Esquire might be found there later on..............
