...I have seen most of these lads playing and even though they are very dedicated club players, it would still be a weak minor set up... That's a bit windy.

I wouldn't worry too much about our minor team next year judging by d people posting here, they say we will have a poor team , but if they can name 24 or 30 minors in the county and not mention Adam Barry from Brosna then obviously they haven't a clue so we can be hopefull that there is a few more class footballers in the county that will make the Kerry team that the posters forgot or choose to forget cause they are not from the bigger clubs!!!

Looking at the Tipp & Dublin minor teams yesterday, were in serious trouble at this level unless we get a few big physical minors who can compete with these teams. These guys must be doing weights 7 nights a week, they were seriously strong for under 18's.
Well done to Tipp's never say die attitude but I'd imagine theres a few fellows down here scratching their heads as to how they beat us in Thurles.

This years minor team should have beaten Tipp and we all know what happened to them after so maybe we are not that far off at this grade as some say. We are waiting way too long to win the title though.

Watched a good few games in the Minor County Championship this year, as many as I could over the Summer anyway and plenty of talented lads out there, finding out whether they were U17 or last year minor was the tough thing! One player who I have been more and more impressed with as the games have gone has been Cathal O Luing of An Ghaeltacht. Great full back and I couldn't believe he is only 16 years of age... what do they feed them back west! They feed them O Se blood...... ;D

Jack Savage is a fine player, comfortable off either foot but may lack a bit of pace! Also, has been sent off a few times this year at U-16 level- a fine talent that needs nurturing!!

Jack Savage is a great talent all right, would agree with one of the above comments that he needs more pace though. Another player I rate very highly is Jack Barry from Na Gaeil, big strong lad and wins alot of ball at midfield. Cillian Fitzgerald from Churchill is a serious ball player and I expect big things from Adrian Spillane. I actually don't think this Kerry minor team will be as bad as people expect and we can't deny that they have a top class management team behind them.
