The new crest is on Terrace talks facebook page www.facebook.com/terracetalkIf this is the crest I think they need to go back to the drawing board quickly. Where on terrace talk page is it?

I'm not sold on it, the border shape should be the same as the old crest ie. the same shape of the original gaa crest and the all ireland medal. If you fitted that design into it, it would look a lot better

Not sure what to make of it but would like to see it in context - on jerseys, training gear etc

Disgusted at new crest. Taught the old one had a touch of class about it. I for one will not be buying any product with this new crest on it. Very dissapointed with it.

Someone said it's like a mix of the Munster (stag) and All Blick's (fern) crests --- with the good oul green and gold (stolen from the Brazilians supposedly ;D)!

I have to say I like it as it leans heavily towards South Kerryism with a delightful depiction of Skellig Micheal, the red deer, the fern, coastal bird life and St Brendans voyage. All it is missing is a depiction of one of south kerry's footballing poets resting peacefully on the bow of the boat reading a piece about the South Kerry Championship. Although while nice and artistically pleasing, I can appreciate why the shovel & pick footballers associated with North kerry might not fully appreciate the sentiment exuding from crest.
Nine point five out of 10 for me, in saying that the red deer could be mistaken for the wild goats of South Kerry's more mountainous regions approaching midnight on Munster Final night in Killarney.

The C looks very similar to the Carlsberg logo. Just seeing the crest now. Agree re the Carlsberg similarity but then again, if Carlsberg did GAA teams, it'd be us. Actually its not too bad; I thought it would be worse going by previous posters. Anyway, so long as the silverware keeps coming, I wouldn't be too worried.

I think in a few months time most people will get used to it and forget all about the old crest. In the grand scheme of things it is not really a big deal.

Hi now boyeen St. Brendan was a West Kerry man, and that's nots a deer it's a Blasket lamb And the big C stands for Ceann Trá, home of the world famous Ó Sé family

Ye South Kerry lads are as bad as the British media for claiming people who don't belong to you. St. Brendan was from the Fenit/Ardfert area. Btw, I don't like the crest simply because its not the old crest, which is class.

That new crest is terrrible, are the county board now going to change the co. championship medal, as medal was a copy of old crest, if so it wont be worth winning

I think the fern was a misjudgement, it brings to mind the New Zealand rugby team.
There are good aspects to it though.
