Heard Harry O Neill on the radio at lunchtime saying he reckoned South Kerry would have to change their game plan with Young not available to mark Gooch - the mind games are underway!
Leary will be a huge loss for Crokes, especially if and when Gooch comes further out the field as he usually does, they will have less quality inside.
I dont think it'll be a very high scoring encounter. 13 or 14 points will win it. Hunger shouldnt be an issue for Crokes after the recent games between the teams and they should just get there. The upcoming St Marys/Dromid junior final may take a bit of the edge of South Kerry also I feel.

South Kerry should put Stephen Sullivan on the Gooch. He would have no fear of marking him and would believe he is better than the Gooch. However I have heard that it might be Stephen Curran who will get the job.
Is Jamie Doolon playin wit the Crokes?

Austin Stacks and South Kerry are the bookies favourites. I dont think you will see a South Kerry v Stacks final though. I fancy Dingle to beat Stacks. Its not a strong fancy but forced to call it - I am going for them. Someone posted that the upcoming junior final might take a bit of focus off the south kerry cause. I think that might be a factor. I am going for Crokes. so for me - the underdogs to win both games and a Dingle v Crokes final I believe it will be a Black & Amber final - Crokes V Stacks.

Quick update, both Senior County Semi Finals will now be streamed Live on the Internet. A few Dingle lads in Brisbane pulled a few strings and the commentary for the Dingle v Austin Stacks will be provided by Jimmy Bambury and Timmy Sheehan. The game throws in at 14:00 BST which I'm reliably informed is 10pm in Eastern Auz.
The Dr. Crokes v South Kerry game throws in at 15:30 BST with commentators Niall "Botty" O'Callaghan and Diarmuid Kelleher.

Looking forward to this one, think it has the making of a great game, plenty of quality talent on both sides.

Hard to call the Stacks v Dingle game. Both fairly evenly matched. Dingle have surpassed their expectations so deep down they might be satisfied with how they've done in the championship this season. Stacks wont have the mindset I'd say just because they are Stacks. I think they'll scrape into the final by 2 or 3 points.

Was at both games today. There was a decent wind there but not enough to ruin the game.
Stacks Dingle was a lovely game of football particularly in the first where Stacks got some great scores with Long, O Connell and Collins particularly. Donaghy was influential with assists throughout. Stacks gave away two bad goals and their defence looked dodgy throughout though they did play a bit more defensively after the two goals and were a tad more secure. Half time was Stacks 0-9 Dingle 2-3. Dingle would have been delighted with this. Long got two quick goals in the 2nd half with Donaghy continuing to influence proceedings. So much so that Tommy Griffin ran away from Long so he could pick up Donaghy for Longs first goal. Bad decision making there.
Dingle to be fair never gave up and both Geaneys in the full forward line looked threatening. Dingle got a better grip in midfield with Kirby tiring. Stacks left it too long to switch Donaghy and Kirby. Dingle got close but in the end Stacks were worthy winners.
Crokes South kerry was the ultimate game of two halves. Crokes got a flying start with a goal by Looney who was excellent in the 1st half particularly. he gave Denis Shine a torrid time. Crokes then got a penalty almost immediately where Steven O Sullivan was done for pulling the jersey of the Gooch when the ball was 60 yards away. An incredible decision to be honest and marked an overly fussy performance from the referee. Gooch put the keeper the wrong way and Crokes got the dream start. Crokes continued to dominate with Looney and Gooch doing a lot of damage. Crokes were winning a lot of ball with Ambrose and Brosnan doing well. Declan was also lucky to stay on the pitch as he was involved in several incidents. Crokes were 13 points up at half time and the game seemed over. However South kerry showed what a great team they were in the 2nd half and fought back magnificently. Declan led the charge and Sheehan kicked some massive scores. South Kerry missed some gilt edge goal and point chances but still got the gap down to 3 points with 5 minutes to go. In the end Crokes managed to win a couple of balls and with the Gooch out around the midfield began to use the ball a lot more smartly and managed to tack on a couple of vital scores. In the end Crokes did enough but their 2nd half fade out would alarm me. South Kerry will look back on this as a game that they could have and maybe should have win despite giving Crokes a 13 point lead at half time.
Crokes will be favourites for the final and it is hard to see how Stacks could contain the Crokes forwards. Crokes should have too much quality but I would give Stacks a fighting chance especially if the game is played in Tralee.

A few brief thoughts before I hit the road.
Entertaining enough afternoon in brilliant Killarney sunshine. Stacks had just that bit too much for Dingle in the first game. The Dingle goals were well taken but they were over reliant , I thought, on Paul and David Geaney for scores. Darragh Long impressed me for Stacks and Graham O'Connell and of course the old warrior William Kirby as well. Kieran D was his usual influential self although I thought Tommy Griffin made a reasonable job of marking him till KG moved out the field towards the end. Poor Daniel Bohane. He must be the unluckiest player I have seen when it comes to injury and he looks like missing the Co Final now. I thought that a few more minutes of injury time were justified given the length of time that he was down.
The second semi-final was one of two halves. Dr. Crokes played in the first and South Kerry in the second half but in reality the champions had left themselves too high a mountain to climb. I did not see the incident for which the penalty was awarded , no doubt there will be plenty of comment on that. It certainly annoyed the South Kerry players. Gooch scored it decisively so we had 2 goals before we had time to draw breath. It was really catch up time for South Kerry in the second half. They hit a quite a few wides and were unlucky in hitting the post at least twice. Bryan Sheehan’s place kicking , especially from long range and the penalty was magnificent, by my count he got all but 2 of his teams scores. Crokes upped the pace again when the margin was down to 3 and just pulled away. Can't see them being stopped in the Final.
I was impressed by Ian Galvin for Sth kerry when he came on. Declan exercised his vocal chords more than his considerable talent at times . Like Kieran , I wish he would leave the verbals alone. They achieve nothing except yellow cards which lead to more hassle. On the other hand I noticed Kieran and Declan both taking time to sign autographs for young fans when they leaving the field and that was good to see.
Will the Junior Final be the curtain raiser for the Senior as this is now possible ?
Slan.

Heartiest congrats to Crokes and well done.
Incrediable decision by the ref to award a peno. I've never seen it happen before in a game, it set the tone for the game with South kerry on the back foot for all of the first half. Still Crokes came out of the traps like a train and South kerry looked disjointed to me.
Because of a brilliant tradition in kerry, either Colm or kieran will captain kerry in '11. The captaincy of the kerry team is something to be treasured and something to be gained with the help of the lads players grew up with.
Hard to call the final, Crokes looked beatable in the second half, Stacks will carry tradition into the final. All to play for for both sets of players.
