define being wrong? losing an all ireland final or semi to Dublin after bring level in 4th min of injury time and missing 7 or 8 late chances to be ahead? a cheerleader page? ffs, critic a players performance in a game all you like, slag off the manager, give your opinion but its tiresome here how much people throw their toys out of the pram at completely mental levels when we dont win a game. some of the stuff i read here, seen in person or listened to elsewhere is up there with the worst ive ever seen. performances in Feb dont lose you an all ireland. but a fan base acting the maggot, certainly can. I don't critise players on here or any public forum. If you want to see real objectionable posts I'd suggest a look at the Dublin fan forum. I don't critise the players or Jack. I critise the team and in regards the Dublin game where that leaves us facing into the summer. Hope im wrong but I am not expressing a view that isint widely held around the country.

Royal I think your being realistic not necessarily negative We are about to finish third or fourth in the league and that’s a fair Reflection of where we are at no argument there If your hopeful an optimist or a believer you’d be hoping we can turn this around There in lies the challenge and it needs some home truth s and souls searching to get there The beauty of this forum is that one can speculate either outcome and if you can add support to either argument then you’ll have contributed well and I for one am enjoying both outlooks both arguments . I happen to be a glass half full person these days and now that we clearly know what we have to do then I think we’ll get really close again and if I’m to pick two things that will get us glory in July it will be 1 a solid tactical plan with plenty positivity Where David and Seanie get plenty early ball Where we have every player capable of chipping in with a score 2. Legs legs athleticism and more speed more legs late in the game we’ve been caught by the strong running late in games previously we have the football part
And keep an eye on Galway there going well with some big players to come back in

in general, theres 0 link between league form and championship form and theres dozens of examples of this.
we hammered Tyrone in 2021 and they beat us a few weeks later. Mayo had the most erratic form in recent history last year - beat us twice, hammered us in fact, then absoltely awful in 3 games around the same time, against much weaker sides. dublin won AI last year, from Division 2 weve won all ireland being almost relegated and so on.

in general, theres 0 link between league form and championship form and theres dozens of examples of this. . I would strongly disagree here, admittedly, there are anomalies and on any given year there will be phases of “block training” that will hinder players capability or the fluency of our play, similarly, long journeys up North for example may affect performance, however, but by in large, I think there is definitely a direct link between league and championship form. Especially for those on the top tier and on the mix come serious ball in Croke Park. I would agree, under the old regime of the three pre-Xmas league games, there was a dismissive approach, depending on the team and player availability, but now with the tightened season, there is a flow from one to the other.

That's partially correct,
Kerry won leagues and all irelands under Jack and the form carried over.
The condensed season has changed the importance of the league as its hard to just turn it on and off.
The reason I'm pessimistic is that on current evidence Dublin have progressed and we have not.
Dublins key players are all on form and their newer lads have stepped up.
We should have been the team looking for a statement win last week instead we had our arses handed to us and missing scoring chances is only flattering us as we didn't lay a glove on Dublin.
Can Kerry get closer to Dublin absolutely they can but do you honestly see us beating them on the evidence of this year so far.
That's not negativity it's just a opinion fairly widely held.
Hopefully not in Currans.

when you are using Mayo last year as a sign of league and championship being linked, you are fairly clutching at straws!
they won the league, were beaten the following week when it mattered. beat us, then could have lost to Cork and Louth the 2 weeks after. hammered by Dublin. Kerry were a kick of a ball away from winning the all Ireland, despite Mayo hammering us twice before the daffodils died off.
speaking of Cork, they had a horrendous league and still lost to us by 1 point and could have beaten us and knocked us out of the championship potentially.

I think it's great that Dublin are being lauded from everywhere now.Shur Even Joe Brolly told Con O callaghan's Dad where Con should be positioned. Obviously Dessie Farrell got wind of this and see what's after happening. Then all the players still to come back. Cluxton, Fitzimons. Mc Carthy etc. We're doomed!. It all reminds me of 2008 and the twin towers thing that was everywhere in the media. How could Kerry be beaten? we were asking, with these two monsters up front. Beaten we were. I don't buy into, albeit I understand, The doom and gloom at the moment. I've a feeling that Jack will now go to try and get to a League final. Stick with the starting 15 from The Tyrone game. Theres no time for trying out new lads. Two strong results against the Connaught duo could get us there. Then a league final against Derry or Dublin. Win it, lay down a marker and go into the championship as deserving favorites.

I think its perfectly fair for supporters to be a bit despondent after the Dublin performance Homer. It was as bad a beating as we ever took in Croke Park and its only natural that it will be in the back of our collective minds, especially if/when we next meet Dublin up there. We might be animals but there's no point hiding our feelings either. As your own name sake once said: hateful to me as the gates of Hades is that man who hides one thing in his heart and speaks another!

Of course our best prospects Cillian Burke and Dylan Geaney out for the rest of the league now with hamstring injuries. A lot of injuries now with Tom sull obeaglaioch Breen that’s our panel getting smaller but I know it’s early but not good. We need everyone fit being such a short season.

its' disappointing that those 2 newer players won't have their chance in the remainder of the League. Lack of goals and the lack of opportunities for goals being created is a worry also.

Lack of goals and the lack of opportunities for goals being created is a worry also. we created more goal chances against Dublin than in any game weve ever played them! on another night, Clifford could and should have scored 4-4. Gavin White chance fisted over and we scored 1. didnt we score 2 v Derry and missed 2 horrendous sitters also? we scored 3 v Monaghan.
