I think it was easy pick a Crokes v dingle final early days, I think Dingle have too much for Crokes up front, so Dingle to win out for me. It’s like a second tier with the rest of the teams really with maybe Rathmore and Kenmare leading the way. Hard to put up a credible argument against that. The fact East Kerry are so strong results in the club championship carrying serious weight for progression in Munster. Although as strong as EK are.. very much under the radar this year is St Brendans. Churchill, the Pats, Na. Gaeil, Ardfert, John Mitchels, Strand Road and Stacks... add in ex Kerry Minor and Clare selector James Costello on the sideline for me ticks a hell of a lot of boxes.. If there is big club buy in, they are serious contenders. Na Gaeil won’t like you for relegating them, They hammered Brendans last year themselves, they’re Senior

Looking ahead - you are looking into the distant future 2026 before a club can be relegated so the 2027 championship is the earliest Na Gael could play with St Brendan's - no relegation from Senior to Intermediate for two years (no relegation from any grade apparently) as the powers that be adjust the senior competition to 10 clubs. Cannot understand why it can't be done in one year but all the talk is its happening over two years.

Why is it being extended to 10 teams at all? There’s at least 3 clubs operating at senior level at the moment that aren’t anywhere near senior standard. Two years time you’ll have 5 possibly 6 of the 10 senior teams not being of the standard. Cannon fodder for the stronger clubs. Cannon fodder for the stronger district teams in the county championship also
It was a great competition as it was. 8 clubs, one relegated.

The likes of Stacks, Rahillys, Laune Rangers, Kilcummin, Beaufort & Legion are all as good, if not better, than a lot of the club teams already there. Stacks or/and Rahillys going up over the next 2 years would weaken Brendans, Kilcummin or/and Legion going up would weaken East Kerry. Rangers and/or Beaufort would weaken Mid-Kerry. East Kerry, Mid-Kerry & Brendans, potentially the three strongest divisional teams at the moment, would be weakened which might level out the playing field

Last year people were complaining that there were too few teams competing in the County championship which meant that the divisional teams were too strong. Now there is too many senior clubs. This is not a dig at you sayitasiseeit but it’s impossible to satisfy everyone and this has lead to the constant chopping & changing of rules & competition structures in the GAA.

Let’s not open that can of worms again, we gave that a right blast last year. We have the rules let’s get on with them, no right or wrong solution, but in kerry we do put ourselves under huge pressure trying to accommodate 2 championchips.

Dingle and Crokes are favourites but I’m expecting one of them to be turned over. How are Dingle set injury wise for the weekend does anyone know? Going to Rathmore will be difficult for Crokes.

Hard to see past Dingle . They are strolling through their games . You would expect them to win it . Strong team . Not a great bench and their underage isn’t great . So they have to make the most of these years while they’re good and win what they can.

On in two weeks. The schedule is really beginning to impact Dingle in terms of player availability- they may struggle in the county championship

It should be a good Final. Crokes were always in control against a very disappointing Rathmore outfit.

Crokes let Rathmore back into the game after a great first half performance. They can’t do that against Dingle . Dingle will punish them . They’ll need a great performance in both halves to win it.

Big match in Killarney on Sunday. Dr Crokes have been relatively comfortable so far in the competition, and Michael Burns is a big addition to them again. Dingle just about got past Kenmare in their semi-final, conceding a lot. Tom is a huge loss to Dingle defensively and on the counter attack. I fancy Grokes to pull through in a high scoring affair.

I'll looking forward to Mark Shea vs Barry Dan and Keating vs Geaney... the midfield clash is a real shop window affair
