St Kieran’s vs Mid Kerry Glenflesk vs Laune Rangers North Kerry vs Killarney Legion in Asdee East Kerry vs Kenmare District in Spa St Brendan’s vs Dr Crokes Kenmare Shamrocks vs Firies Rathmore vs West Kerry Austin Stacks vs South Kerry
Interesting that of the current 8 senior clubs, only 3 have u21 teams. Kenmare, Rathmore, Crokes. Hard to believe that Firies were a Junior club last year and they are fielding a u21 team this year on their own

Very poor fair in Asdee, NK Rangers in complete control in 2nd gear.
Legion very very poor, no bench and no options, well well beat in all sectors.
Rob Stack the pick of the sides, serious game in midfield.

Travelled to the county semi final tonight with real optimism that southkerry could reach the final but similar to colaiste sceilige this year we underperformed again .East Kerry deserved their win on the night where too many of our main players never reached the level to win these games.

Couldn't make Tralee tonight, anyone have the load down? NK deserved it overall. LR were resilient, tough to break down and opened up NK through the middle on a number of occasions but they just lacked that fire power really. Jack McElligott was excellent throughout. Good displays too from Robert Stack, Michael Nolan and Ted Moloney. Nk started without Cormac Dillon and Eddie Healy but both came on. Laune Rangers have some nice players and if they had converted one of their 3 or 4 goal chances who knows what might have happened.

Going by the scoreline it sounded like a great game. Was very competitive for about 40 minutes but SK seemed to run out of stream around the middle. Two late goals by SK kept the scoreline somewhat respectful

Reports are all over the place.. is the U21 final going ahead Wednesday?
I have edited my earlier post.. but in reality this is shambolic, if a side are missing so many players and requested a postpone, there is no obligation on the other side to agree.
Similarly, if teams cannot field, who's fault is it or who's more culpable to enable field, either way, it's a mess. No one wants to win a game in board room.
No winners here I'm afraid, from players to board level.

Some joke this was last night allowing the game to be put off 48 hours from throw in to suit east Kerry Patrick o Sullivan has a lot to answer for here

As far I know East Kerry are down 11 players, which co board were well aware of before this game was fixed, would be a shallow victory for north Kerry if eask Kerry somehow managed to pull a team together, do fellas expect them to call up a load of players that haven't even togged out for them and start them

As correctly stated above, Patrick O'Sullivan has a lot to answer for here.
What kind of precedent will this set going forward?
Reminds me of the 2021 Tyrone Covid tricks 🤣

This is a county final not a Mickey Mouse county league game they knew lads were going away and that shouldn’t be a factor in a game being postponed if the shoe was on the other foot North Kerry wouldn’t get the same treatment

Having said that, there is a certain sense of irony here as 5 or 6 clubs in North Kerry voted for Patrick O'Sullivan for chairman as opposed to a North kerry candidate and actually canvassed for him

Harsh Reality East Kerry shouldn't even be in this position, Mid Kerry were robbed against them in the semi final by poor refereeing decisions. but as previously stated Patrick O Sullivan has a lot to answer for!!!!

There are some seriously unfair comments on this topic. East Kerry struggled to get going this year...5 clubs involved. Their management did very well to get to the final with the player pool available to them. It has been widely known that East Kerry would be down almost half that panel this week if they made the final. North Kerry should have agreed last week to postpone the game. Not sure what some poster's problem is with Patrick O Sullivan! Seems fairly cut and dried to me. North Kerry with a huge player base (Is it 12 or 13 clubs)? Wouldn't agree to a postponement of a Premier competition where genuine reasons dictated they should....and the Chairman rightly stepped in. A walkover?? That would have made a farce of the competition. Would North Kerry actually allow their players take the field with no opposition on the field and take a walkover???

Don't know for sure...but was told by someone claiming to be in the know that there's a good few of them gone on family holidays this week.

Did well to get to the final with only 5 clubs involved? Spa are a senior club and the other 4 clubs have massive numbers. I still do agree that apparently it was flagged in advance that a lot of the team would be missing for this week so putting it on next week wouldn’t seem to be too much of a hassle with regard to clashes or anything else

Massive numbers? Gneeguilla are 13 a side at minor level...Listry are joined with keel underage..Fossa have a small pool at that age. That leaves Kilcummin and they're far from "massive numbers" also. East Kerry may have won a lot in the past few years but the agenda to shift the powerbase of kerry football to the North is tiresome at this stage. Real GAA people know how quietly efficient and diligent clubs in the East of the county have been over the last 10 years. Seems to me that there's a cohort away from the East who when they finally look after their own "massive numbers" and get their act together expect glory to follow instantly. Rome wasn't built in a day.. There are no shortcuts. Trophies should be earned and won on the field.
