In my memory only once was I at an all ireland where the whole stadium was more or less the same colour as both senior teams and minor teams had same colours. Name the year? 2014

On brothers. In an all ireland semi final both counties gad brothers midfield for them. So it was two brothers from one county against two brothers from another county. Name the two sets of brothers and their counties Wild guess. O'Sheas of Mayo against Kavanaghs of Tyrone.

I sense a bit of a cloudburst here - there could be dozens, maybe hundreds, of Kerrymen who won national medals with other counties, and I am not referring to ones born outside Kerry. Still Paidí came forth in London, well Middlesex actually, and Henry Shefflin was born in Lancashire/Manchester.
Jack Kissane won an AI medal with Galway so obviously won Connaught. Ballydonoghgue's Billy Fiztgerald played Junior with Limerick, may have won silver - I knew Billy very well but only learned that in recent years. Like Jack Kissane was an army man, in the day when you didn't drive home from your positing every weekend. It was only recently you could work in a local bank - there might be a lot of teachers, Guards - ah now they'd never play under a different name, sure you'd spot the head of an auld Guard a mile off! Then you'd have Denny Long, Larry Tomkins, etc. And there was a Kerryman here in Donegal who's name escapes me but he is highly spoken of, a guard I think!

Yeah fair play ciarrai Mick, greengold35 and Vet
James O'Shea 2002
I'd be from a younger vintage but ye are quite correct,
Tom Moriarty 1952 John Cronin 1949, 1952 Kevin Dillon 1966, 1967
I had actually thought you meant John Cronin waterville initially as I know he played football with Bishopstown after his Kerry career, but I don't think he ever played senior for Cork.
Joe Joe Grimes from Clounmacon is currently on the Cork panel, he may be added to the list in time, His clubman Brendan Griffin reffed the division 3 final a few weeks ago, it would be a novelty to see an official and a player from the same club involved in the same game at senior inter county level

Here's a nice tribute to the late Gerald McKenna from The Kerryman - Sean Walsh: McKenna was a respected administrator, a great orator, very humble, a real gentleman and great companyShame we have to say it but what with such nonsense in the media and in fairness people always speak kind words in theses situations anyway, but trust me, it is such understatement, so much so that in fact I think this rings through to those who'd never have even heard of him. Three simple words in it sum him up - 'he was Kerry', what a statement! I drew parallels between Gerald's GAA life and the upward trend in all things GAA and which extended outside Kerry, e.g. he was a Central Council delegate for 30 years. The sentiment expressed was astounding though consistently remarkable in understated tone, e.g. 'the voice of reason', 'his contribution to the success of the Golden Years in Kerry football was immense' - ah maybe we should leave it at that, suffice as to say he is one of the reasons we have so much to be proud of, so much to talk about and why we will always have so much to look forward to. RIP Gerald.

Along the lines of clubs without All Ireland winners. What club is the most recent to have a medal winner. Off the top of my head I'd say it's Cromane with Sean O Sullivan.

Wild guess. O'Sheas of Mayo against Kavanaghs of Tyrone. Again correct Veteran. You ré giving Aodhán a run for his money😁 Veteran is in a league of his own, the crown lies lightly on his head. The rest of us are are just pretenders. He asks most of the questions which constantly stimulates the memory. On the other hand I ask very few giving me a false standing. May as well throw in another one. This well known county player coached Ogie Moran in secondary school. He specifically coached Ogie, then a 16 year old on how to mark Brendan Lynch for the 1972 county final with great success. Also name the school.

Joe Lennon at Gormanstown College. Did they win the Hogan up with Ogie? Did Joe Lennon draw a kick at Brendan Lynch in the 1968 final....dunno why thats in the back of my mind There was some incident but I can’t recall the details. I don’t think there was a whole pile in it and I suspect it may have been hyped up by disgruntled Kerry supporters. Joe wasn’t that popular down Kerry way. Joe used to write a weekly column for the Sunday Press and towards the end of the sixties he wrote that Kerry football was ten years out of date. Down had beaten Kerry in 1960 and 1961 and Galway had beaten us in 1963, 1964 and 1965. So Joe felt he was on to something I suppose. In any case , Kerry won in 1969 and 1970 and of we are all familiar with what happened from 1975 onwards. He was a controversial figure and tended to be bombastic , not unlike a certain Mr. Brolly. On the other hand he did put a lot of thought into football and I remember in one of his articles he wrote very informatively about how the entire rule book could be reduced to about ten basic rules or something along those lines. As far as I can recall he wrote a book on how to play football. There was substance to him but he tended to rub people up the wrong way.

Best Tralee team since mid 70s. Teddy Brick Dylan Casey Sean Walsh Barry oShea Ger oKeeffe Damiel Bohane Tony oKeeffe David Moran John oKeeffe Ger Power Tommy Walsh William Kirby Mikey Sheehy Kieran Donaghy Barry John Keane I am open to putting Cormac Coffey wing back instead of Tony oKeeffe. I hope i have not left out a big name! I left out Denny Long as he wasnt raised in Tralee Interesting you have no Jack Barry or Diarmuid Ó Connor but have Dylan Casey. OK if Denny Long does nt qualify neither does VInny Murphy of Dublin eventhough he was top scorer in Kerry County league for two years running. I ll have a go shortly. Its tough Hey lads what about Pa Laide!!
