To be fair to Corofin they were a lot stronger than the scoreline suggested. Not as strong as Na Gaeil but they were well in the game. Na Gaeil were ruthless when goal opportunities came up and hit 2-2 in the first few minutes of the second half which crushed Corofin mentally. Jack Barry and Stefan were excellent but Diarmuid O'Connor was head an shoulders above everyone today. Rolls Royce performance. Andrew Barry seemed to be struggling with Injury and wasn't his usual self. Hopefully just a once off. Was Stefan operating around midfield or did he go into the backs?

Andrew Barry seemed to be struggling with Injury and wasn't his usual self. Hopefully just a once off. Was Stefan operating around midfield or did he go into the backs? Midfield with Jack Barry. Diarmuid started full forward and got a good goal when Corofin were on top. Stefan made a lot of good plays, loads of running, excellent tackling. But he also had a few bad plays, namely 2 crossfiekd kicks that were intercepted and one poor pass in an attacking area. His reading of the game defensively at midfield was excellent. Corofin won loads of breaks despite Na Gaeils star studded midfielders. Then Diarmuid came out to make a 3 man midfield at the start of the second half and Na Gaeil dominated for 15minutes before taking the foot off the gas. Stefan took up a man marking job on Jamie Malone for a short period at the start of the second half. Corofin's number 13 (never got a programme so not sure of his name) was a fantastic footballer. Had Damien Burke and Enda O'Connor in a bit of trouble when the ball came in and I'd rate them highly as good corner backs.
