Where does it say its on the app and not on live? The TG4 website just says one of Div 1 south game is on live and the other deferred but doesn't say which is which.

I need help. In the title of this tread it says” Live on TG4 app”. Is this TG player or TG live stream? If not , do I have to down load the app to my IPAD or do I have it already? How do I download it if that is the road I have to travel? This match is not on Gaago. On Android devices, if you paste the following URL into your search bar, it should bring you to the app on Google play store. Install and take it from there. play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ie.bytes.tg4.tg4videoapp . If you intend using an apple device such as an iPad, this is the apple version; apps.apple.com/ie/app/tg4-player/id598591024 Hope it works out ok John or anybody, when I highlight on my IPAD apps.apple.com, etc the TG4 icon appears and when I open that it displays a plethora of TG 4 programmes , including GAA etc. Now, I already have that . Is that the app. or is that the TG 4 player or are they the same thing?

Is that the app. or is that the TG 4 player or are they the same thing? I think if you have used the TG4 player before, this is regarded as the app. The reason I say this is that when I followed the link to the Google Play Store, it took me to the TG4 Player and there was an icon saying that it was installed on my PC. I have used the TG4 player for a good number of years but I have no recollection of downloading a specific TG4 app at any stage. [Maybe I did when I first used it years back but I would have said it was just the TG4 player as opposed to anything that said TG4 app on it] I searched to see if there was any other TG4 apps in the Google Play Store and while there was two other TG4 apps (for Cula4 and Glor Tire), I don't think these are relevant in this situation so I think the TG4 player and the TG4 app are pretty much one and the same, so I would expect that TG4 simply used both terms interchangeably. {Insert your own gag about a language channel being imprecise when using language} Also I downloaded the TG4 app to my phone [Android] and I'm not really sure what the point of it is, as it seems that all of TG4's content is available by simply going to my browser on my phone. Decrypting this suggests it's live on the app[player] at 15:45 and then there is deferred coverage on the TG4 channel at 17:35.

I went to the GAA website and under the fixtures section is says "Watch it on Sport TG4". The Galway Dublin game which throws in at the same time has a TG4 icon next to it by comparison. Between the two of them, you'd nearly think they didn't actually want people watching the game.

Happy enough with that bit confused with Geaney at 12 again though. I get the Moran call alright another 70 mins in his legs and he has a big point to prove I think we will see a reaction. Great to see the likes of Breen, graham o Sullivan ,Buckley and brosnan get starts couldve thrown in another one or two maybe. Also Kearney on the bench and Tom sull starring. But particularly o brien he is key in my book. It also shows that pk is happy with the lads who drop to the bench for me certain starters now come championship are white and Moynihan

Jack Barry missing is concerning.
Any idea what the issue is?
Delighted to see Brosnan in he is a great option.

A nice team for this game. Delighted to see Mike Breen and Graham O’Sullivan get a start. I will be interested to see if Mike Breen has the pace for intercounty football as i certainly feel he has the tackling skills toughness and football skills to be a genuine option for Kerry in the half back line.

Interesting team. Sensible too in the circumstances. Dara and Killian drop out for this one.
I thought Jack Sherwood might start. No doubt he will get extended run the next day. Looking forward to see Brian O’Beaghlaigh at wing back. Not sure what to expect from Michael Breen on the other wing. Would be great if he proves to be an option, ditto Graham O’Sullivan
They are obviously determined to make David Moran and Paul Geaney work for their supper in this short run in to serious business.
Wonderful to see Tony Brosnan back as well . Also pleasing to see Liam Kearney back in the subs. That fellow has the making of a tidy midfielder.
Brendan Kealy continues as the sub goalie!
Roscommon have some very good players and therefore it would be a good trial of this experimental team to come back with the points.
According to the Irish Independent the match is on the TG 4 player.

Is that the app. or is that the TG 4 player or are they the same thing? On the app's menu select "live" on Sunday and the match should be broadcasted. The live channel on this app doesn't necessarily broadcast the same program as the terrestrial channel. Tg4 provide a service second to none in terms of their coverage of Gaelic Games. I might have this backwards but I think they showed Kerry v Cork U20 last year on the app and broadcasted the Kerry v Clare Munster minor final live on their YouTube channel. Great service 👏👏

Foley at FB is a reward a good show v Dubs, hopefully he will find that minor FB form at senior, has come on a lot since last season, whenever that was?
A stalwart FB at his age would be a major contributory factor to a game changer for many a day to come.

Great to see more squad members get some minutes under their belts
Does anyone know why James O'Donoghue hasn't been in any match day squad yet this year?

Good to see Graham and Mike Breen get a start. I feel that Paul M and Begley are both wing backs - both on the lighter side as well, and both great at attacking from the back. But playing both together in the backs, especially on the same side, I think exposes us a little defensively. I though Dublin targeted that side especially in the first half last week. Now is the time to try other options back there to see what the options are. There must surely be a good corner back lurking in North Kerry somewhere? Apart from Jason that is.

I don't get to see a lot of club games so it is always interesting to see the players that are mentioned as possible solutions to the problems we have. There are a couple of positions there that could be permanently claimed. For that reason I see it as a good selection.
I do think that Paul Geaney is one of the best 15 footballers in the county so he should be starting. The number he wears is not that important, hopefully he will go into full forward, Tony Brosnan to the corner and Paudie Clifford to the wing. The absence of Gavin White and Dara Moynihan is understandable because they have proven themselves but the absence of Killian Spillane is concerning. He has proven himself as a forward who can get scores even when on a diet of crumbs but it appears that management does not see this based on the way he is dropped and replaced inexplicably.

Could Killian be injured. Replaced at half time last week, usually a precautionary move.

Geaney be much better at 11 than on the wing

Surely it has to be Paudie Clifford at 11 with Geaney playing inside along Clifford and Brosnan. Also I’d be very surprised if Killian Spillane didn’t pick up an injury in that half against Dublin.

Geaney has been peripheral so far and I believe too many people are judging Paul as the fantastic forward he was 5 years ago. He has shown nothing in the last few years to suggest he will be a difference maker at the business end of the season. Not unlike James O'Donoghue, I firmly believe that in spite of the excellent footballing brain he possesses, he neither has the legs nor the stomach for a winner takes all match against the likes of Dublin and co. No amount of shooting the lights out in training or against meagre opposition will change that. The days of carrying players are long gone.....

I have tried to blot the match from my memory but if I recall correctly Geaney was massive in the first half of the 2019 final replay. You’re 100 percent correct. That was his last championship game, less than 2 years ago. He scored 4 points from play which made him joint top scorer from both teams on the day. He did that while playing a role that often involved coming out the field a lot and helping out the defence, covering a load of ground. He always starts a season slow and has a couple of very quiet games in the league but he has shown time and time again that he gets it right for the big days in the championship. Now in saying that, that wing forward role absolutely doesn’t suit him and he has to be played inside. He’s only 30 and has a lot left to give. It baffles me why so many people give out about him and call for him to be dropped. Killian Spillane and Brosnan are serious options as well but I’d find it very difficult to leave out Geaney.

He was Scaul, made up for his shocking display of squandermania in the drawn game. Anyway, its a moot point as with Griffin on the line, he will be there or thereabouts for all games. Happy to be proven wrong later in the year but for me he categorically does not have the legs for it anymore. Of course, there are purists on here who believe that we can "leave" him and others to do the attacking and absolve them of defensive duties but thats absolutely pie in the sky against Dublin and the northern teams.

I think Vetern has the right of it as usual, PK is trying to get geaney up to the fitness level required. Very harsh questioning the man's stomach he has that in spades and is still a class act. However he is not and never has been a wing forward hopefully he switches with paudie Clifford who has been a big addition.

We saw Geaney feeding Clifford serious ball vs Mayo in 2019. That was possibly from a holding CF position. I don't really know enough about the game to understand if Geaney could play a holding CF and SOS also the CF somehow.
