The Back2Back will have to be done the hard way crotta could lose all 3 group matches and still win the championship, see my earlier post

Thanks for the clarification mossie. I've re-visited the Website and the only information for I can find for the hurling championship is in the strategic plan for 2024, which states: SENIOR HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP 1. The Senior Hurling Championship shall be run as decided by County Committee and Management Committee and may involve a Losers Round. 2. All games at Neutral Venues. 3. Austin Stack Park is a neutral venue for all Senior Hurling Championship Games
I listened to the draw on Radio Kerry and I thought that it was stated that two of the group winners would go to the semi-finals, with the other group winner and the 3 second placed teams playing to the quarter finals {like last year}.

I think the clubs looked for 2 groups of 5 but the ccc taught otherwise and the final is fixed for August 4 which is too fingers to a club trying to prepare for munster

no referees appointed for round 1 of the minor hurling matches on sunday
some matches did not go ahead as a result. not good enough
2 matches were played as the clubs scrambled to get a referee from somewhere at the last minute
Tralee Parnells who won the Kerry Feile 2 years had a good win over Lixnaw
Might the club reach another milestone and win a minor county hurling championship?

Crotta won the Div 1 title this evening against Kilmoyley.
John Myler again in charge of Kilmoyley. In the last almost 25 years there can't be many where he wasn't involved with them in some capacity.

Tralee Parnells look to be fairly depleted heading into their first adventure in Senior hurling champ next weekend. A lot of their players are in America for the summer. Luke Crowley and Donal Down O Sullivan are also venturing off to the States so will be unavailable to play in the Intermediate Champ

I appreciate young lads want to travel but would they not want to give the senior championship a shot after coming up from intermediate. They would find it hard enough at full strength

Senior Hurling Championship throws in this weekend. I see a few games are being streamed on Clubber and there is a Preview Panel video up on the Kerry Facebook page.
Don't see too many do-or-die games in the opening few weeks with 8 of the 10 teams getting through to the knock-out stages.

Like most GAA championships in recent years very hard to get too excited about this with so little at stake in the group stages. I don't think it'll become clear where teams are until later. A disappointing thing with be Parnells not being full strength for it.

Hugely entertaining game in Austin Stack Park. 12/1 underdogs Tralee Parnells almost pulled off the shock of the decade going down 16pts to 14 against Lixnaw.

Great display from Parnells last night. Very possible they would have got the win had they been at full strength.

Two more entertaining games in the SHC this evening. What might be lacking in quality was certainly made up for in excitement. Bit of a shock in the first game Ballyheigue 0-16 Kilmoyley 0-13 but there are other factors in play there too. Ballyduff did just enough to beat St Brendan's. All teams seem to be hampered by injuries in the Championship so far.

Àgain as a few have said the standard could be better as i think it has the potential to be but the county board wont help either with the Mcdonagh over with a fortnight of the start of the Keŕry championship. The way the hurling championship is run off so early and quick the clubs need to stand up and be counted and really make a bitvof noise

Jack Goulding some addition back for Ballyduff this year. He’s capable of racking up big scores and definitely makes up for the loss of Eoin Ross.

They would find it hard enough at full strength all of the Parnells lads that are away for the summer have been very committed GAA men - all dual players who give huge time to hurling and football young men will travel and whatever summer they do it will never be a good one the very best of luck to them and I wouldnt be one bit critical of them We will see them playing hurling and football again soon no doubt

The return of Goulding from London is the story of the championship so far This really happened under the radar and no one seemed to know about it outside of Ballyduff This could be a real big factor in the outcome of the championship Evan Boyle making his senior championship debut in hurling was another noteworthy item. Surpising he was played at 14 though. He will feature further out the field later on Injuries to Mikey and Padraig Boyle are a worry for Ballyduff though

Great display from Parnells last night. Very possible they would have got the win had they been at full strength. Darragh Reen is their best forward so you could argue that they would have won, then again Lixnaw were short Shane Conway Anyways, I thought Parnells would have hammered owing the number of players injured or abroad, delighted that they got off to a competitive start

Goulding is a huge huge addition to Ballyduff, he could be the difference in them lifting Neilus Flynn. He was shooting the lights out for London the in the Christy Ring cup.

Was there a fall out? look at the kilmoyley facebook page - it will tell you all you need to know re more important things than hurling that might be on people's mind

Good start by Crotta. My only worry for them is if something happened to Shane Nolan, he was brilliant again yesterday, 14 pts and set up the goal, but they seem over reliant on him. No one else is picking up the amounts of points he is.
O'sullivan with some excellent saves kept them in it at stages, but I also feel his puck outs had no planning, most of them were won by causeway.

Big win for Ballyheigue last night. Great to see them moving well again it must be the first time in many years they have too championship wins It's hard to know where Crokes are going now. You'd imagine they'll drop back down to Intermediate next year. Put in a good show in their first game against Abbeydorney in 2021 but haven't seen them push on since. The lack of underage will ultimately be the end of them. Can't just rely on lads from other counties moving to Killarney for players, that's what killed off Stacks even before Parnells came along.

Conor leen corner back with the clare hurlers has strong kerry connections, his father edward hurled with ardfert and kerryand his grandfather butch hurled wit crotta. It was rumored that jack goulding would be back with ballyduff,it would nt be a surprise if eoin ross makes a come back as well
