Kerry v Winner of Tipperary/Limerick on Wednesday the 19th of February 2020 Munster Final set for a week after Wednesday the 26th of February 2020 The game between Tipperary and Limerick is on Wednesday the 12th of February 2020.
Entire Munster competition to be run off in 15 days. The GAA Authorities seem to be doing there best to try and kill this competition off. Midweek games in the middle of February is madness.
As a comparison the Munster U20 hurling starts the 30th June with the final the 22nd of July.

JOC must be ripping shreds of hair from his body when he see this. At least he can run around the Curragh screaming in solitude. Brings a whole new meaning to Donnellys Hollow and the one arm removed............!!!!

Think he played cornor for his club. Darragh Lyne isent making the Legion senior team, surely you'd want to be on your senior team to be making a Kerry u20 team. With the possible exception of Crokes who have so many.

Also when he played or came on for the u20s last year it was at midfield. He's been playing well in the full forward line for Kilcummin but they have a very strong midfield with 3 excellent club standard midfielders in Kieran Murphy, Shane McSweeney and Kevin Gorman. I suppose you're right about not making your club team and making the u20s. I don't think he's far away though and Legion are strong. Also he was good at minor level and I don't see a better option.

I know kerry are missing a few because of the McGrath cup but if cork put out a half decent team they’ll win by 10 points. There’s a few fellows there that are well below inter county standard IMO. Time will tell.

Time will tell. That's a strong Cork team, it isn't full strength but it isn't too far off it. The stronger Kerry u20s seem to have been picked for the McGrath cup game. Also a good few u20s who I think will be very close to the starting 15 for the u20 championship seem to be unavailable at the moment so it is a very weakened team. I agree with you there are a good few players named for tomorrow who I did not think would be involved with this group. There are 6 players starting who did not start on their minor teams which is interesting. I think Cork will win tomorrow fairly comprehensively.

There’s a few lads there just out of u17s a few months ago which IMO is too young to take step up to u20. Lads stepping up 2 years when it was u18 to u21 was a big ask as they had matured more but going from u17 to playing u20 in a few months is a massive step unless of course you’re David Clifford or seanie o Shea. I hope I’m wrong but I think it could be the McGrath cup revisited.

I am assuming Devon Burns, Kieran O’Sullivan (Cromane) and Emmett Shea fossa are injures for the weekend. I don’t seem to see them mentioned anywhere.

Cork by 10-15 points just looking at the Kerry and Cork panels and the physical development of the Cork lads will stand out a mile. For what every reason Kerry have not Developed players at this age over the last 6-7 years. Kerry players look like young boys rather then players about to enter senior ranks.

Having read the above I wasn't expecting much today but based on a 1 point loss it seems the lads really battled hard.

A very encouraging performance considering how close to full strength or otherwise each team was. Kerry had a fairly makeshift side out while Cork had nearly everyone available bar the club tied Mark Cronin and maybe an injury or two. Judging by the comments from Cork people at least 10 of the side that lined out today will line out in the u20 championship. It was a real gritty performance from Kerry which was pleasing to see and nearly all of the players had a positive performance. It was a real team performance although I must mention sub keeper for the day Brian Lonergan who came on around halfway through the second half outfield and made some spectacular catches including one in which he won a penalty for. I think it's actually a good thing we lost today because often it is easier for the team who were beaten by a team in an earlier game to win in the second game which will be in the championship. I think people were questioning how good the u20s will be this year after the McGrath cup defeat but I am enthused after this performance. Cork seem to be a lot more ordinary than last year and while they will still be a very tough game I think we will win Munster if John Sugrue can really get our act together and play close to our potential. If we win Munster then we are in a very good position.

Gutsy performance by Kerry even do Cork played only 3 off the minors that push kerry to 1 point victory two years ago in Tralee Munster championship. Kerry can still add plenty but Cork away with full complement of players will be very tough.

Kerry 3-12 - 1-19 Cork Cork just about did enough to record a deserved victory over Kerry in this John Kerins Cup opener in Tralee this afternoon as the hosts very nearly salvaged an unlikely draw from a deficit of five points entering injury time. 1-1 from substitute Darragh Hayes appeared to be enough to ensure Cork’s win but a penalty from Paul Walsh followed by a Killian Falvey point nearly ensured the match ended on parity.
Learn more Kerry had to line out without star forward Donal O’Sullivan ( Down) who shone last week against Cork in the McGrath Cup before retiring late on with a hamstring.
Kerry had to rely on defensive interceptions from several of their defenders to prevent Cork from leading by more than 0-10 to 1-3 at the break despite Darragh Rahilly scoring Kerry’s goal in the 21 st minute and putting them ahead for the first and only time at 1-2 to 0-4. Conor Russell scored four of Cork’s total in the first period, but it was a Daniel O’Connell point after 26 minutes that was the highlight in taking a four-point interval advantage.
O’Connell had to go off injured shortly after the restart however as both sides traded scores up the three-quarter mark at 0-13 to 1-9 to the visitors. When Russell had to go off Fionn Herlihy stepped into the scoring breach for Cork, but the introduction of goalkeeper Brian Lonergan outfield nearly proved to be a masterstroke for Kerry. Killian Falvey’s goal in the 53rd minute made it 0-16 to 2-10 as Cork needed a third point from Herlihy and that 1-1 from Hayes (Conor Corbett the goal provider) to go 1-19 to 2-11 ahead as the clock hit 60 minutes.
Adam Curran found Lonergan with a brilliant high ball that led to the penalty for Walsh as when Falvey put over another point in the fourth additional minute. The final whistle rang to the resulting kick-out however as for the second week-in-a-row a Cork side defeated Kerry in Austin Stack Park.
Scorers for Cork: D Hayes (1-2, 1f), C Russell (0-5, 3f), F Herlihy (0-3), A Ó Luasa, B Murphy (f) and E O’Hanlon (2f) (0-2 each), J Mullane, D O’Connell and C O’Sullivan (0-1 each)

Great to see this team contain the the green shoots of recovery for clubs boxing below their weight like Desmonds and Emmets.
