I understand players have commitments and what not, but I can't fathom how Thomas O Connor is the only player from last years Crotta team to be on the panel regularly. If I was Molumphy I'd be pulling up trees to get the Mahony brothers and Cillian Trant into the team. They don’t want to play for Moloumphy so I am told, like a lot of others.

Such a pity we cant get the commitment and full complement of players because i think kerry could be on a par with Dublin and Antrim

Is it correct that Lixnaw have withdrawn from north kerry league. If true it would seem to be very strange !? Ballyduff have also withdrawn. I think the North Kerry league is a complete waste of time, especially when you have the Kerry county hurling league aswel. With Dr Crokes and Tralee Parnells playing senior division one now, it makes for 9 county leagues matches which is good, less need for the NK league. Some Kerry clubs have been playing challenge matches outside the county in recent weeks, it is better than playing the same teams in the NK and the county league

I read somewhere that if kerry finish 3rd in 2A that they will play a semi final. I thaught it was just the top too that went straight into new formst next year?

No Shane Conway on the panel again. He must be injured? Kildare will fancy their chances now

Has Fionán Mackessy actually transferred yet? He's still listed as an Ardfert player.

HALF TIME Kerry 1.7 Kildare 0.11
FULL TIME Kerry 1.14 Kildare 1.21
Kerry have only beaten Meath, who won the Christy Ring last year. Kerry have lost to Kildare who were relegated to the Christy Ring. Kerry will be in for a nervy McDonagh campaign.

A nervy joe mcdonagh campaign is right. The way things look we will hopefully survive. This year then must be put to bed and get new management if that is the problem who absolutely every player in kerry will pull 100 percent with for next year . Might sound a bit mad to be saying in early March but thats the way it looks to me at present

There have been some bad seasons for the hurlers in the last 15/20 years but this season is looking like it's one of the worst and It's not looking like it's going to get any better either.
Staying up in the McDonagh is looking like the main aim now.

Shane Conway looking like he'll miss the McDonagh Cup. Not the news you'd be hoping for. Makes a tough job a bit more tough now.

Kerry’s only hope of not going down to the Christy Ring is beating Meath in the Joe McDonagh.
It’s going to be a very tough campaign for Kerry.

Another loss for the lads today. Saw Crotta fielded a very strong team in their win over Ballyduff. Something needs to change, probably management more than anything.

At half time it looked like it could have gotten really ugly for Kerry. Its sad when you see the Crotta line up with those lads that Kerry need but i dont know the ends and outs of whats going on with players/managment Either way Molomphys term will end this year.joe Mcdonagh survival is what its all about for now after that hugely important to get the right managment in place with every player in Kerry commited.could Brendan o Sullivan do the job or will it be outsider again?

At this point I don't see why there shouldn't be someone from Kerry. It's 15 years or more now since it was a Kerry man.

This has been by far the most disappointing league campaign for a very long time. We've been very lucky there's no regulation this and staying in the McDonagh Cup is the only thing to aim for now.

While the league was a disaster i wouldnt rule Kerry out from taking scalps in the Mcdonagh . Meath and Down are very winable games and hopefully Conway.Brandon Barrett.luke Crowley returning would boost the attack . With a bit of luck we could have a rattle off the 3 big guns Offaly Laois . Westmeath or maybe thats too optimistic

On a more positive note the Kerry minors are playing Carlow tomorrow in the Leinster minor hurling championship Tier 2. Hopefully it goes well for them.

Should hopefully go a bit this year. Probably very underestimated going into the A grade last year.

A grade was way too strong last year I see a Kenmare man named centre back and a Tralee Parnells man in goal, good to see

Wins over Down and Meath are possible Crowley, Conway and Barrett fit and in the team would really invigorate the forwards and give us a great chance of securing the 2 wins to stay up Conway was in great form earlier in the year before injury and Luke Crowley looked like the brightest hurler to come on the scene in years for Kerry with his performance against Tipperary

Great win for the minors up in Carlow. Hopefully they get through the group now. A good winning start for the minors. Sensible that they are in Tier 2 this year. They'll have Laois next, followed by Kildare. The top 2 in both Tier 2 groups will contest the preliminary quarter-finals.
