Jimmy Wharton the last one I think. Mike Shea uncle of footballer Sean O'Shea was a super hurler in the late 1980s early 1990s for Kerry, played for Munster in hurling O'Sullivan played well on Sunday, he had a bad knee injury a few years back so great to see him on the team the weekend On the Mike Halloran facebook page , great to see senior hurling training at Dr Crokes pitch and the buzz it generating there, top marks to Crokes for pushing on hurling as well as football. Seanie Shea made a great point in the chat with Mike Hallaron, more or less said hurling is a great way to get people into a club and without having hurling you lose good GAA people. Seanie looked like he was made to go pucking few balls himself!! I hope senior hurling doesnt prove too hot for them , I have a feeling they will be competitive I thought there was a fella from Kenmare in the early 2000s s well but could be thinking of someone else. Good to see Crokes up and running. However i don't see why they were just put into Div 1 of the county league without winning Div 2. To compete they'll need to be playing Div 1 but should they not have to get there on merit? Hugh Frances Twomey from Kilgarvan played corner back for a few years in the early\mid 2000s maybe it him you thinking of he may even have played munster championship in 2003

I dont see any harm in it, Tralee Parnells are also gone into Division 1 on a similar basis Are they? I didn;t know that. I thought it was North Kerry Senior league they were gone ito.

I think he might have also played Mallow at one point. From what i rememmber there was a few playing with Cork club that time.

serious trimming and setback in Tullamore Again lack of a panel being an issue. Once 1/2 lads a missing it's hard to beplace them. On the plus side both the minor and U2O are both playing in Munster again this season.

Do we think that the loss to Offaly was a one off disaster or is a tough year in store for the team?

Do we think that the loss to Offaly was a one off disaster or is a tough year in store for the team? Yesterday was a good reult to get back on track again. Can't really afford anymore slip ups from here on as it looks like Offaly will/should win the rest of their games after being Carlow at the weekend. Kerrys game with Carlwo should see th winners inot the final with Offaly.

Last game of the league the weekend and bar the Offaly game is't been quite good. A lot of players tried out and it can only be a good thing to see the amout of South Kerry players who have been tried.

I a very poor end to the league. It' hard to tell where Kerry are now. Well beaten by the two main rivals in the division an will need a big improvement for the McDonough Cup.

the hurlers look like a car running on dirty petrol at the moment, injuries are a factor I am confident that they will rally and come into form again though for the McDonagh cup

Injuries are most definitely a factor, but I also think Fintan O'Connor was right to use dead rubber games to give action to younger players. Once we lost to Offaly, promotion was gone- and I honestly don't think we are ready to compete at Division One level yet. Getting decent game time into young players will pay dividends later on.

Good win today Kerry 2-24 Down. 1-21 yes, some touches of class from Conway especially in the final quarter The Boyle's prominent too, with Mikey a lot fitter than 2020, both had injuries last year This trio the key to the win and Shane Nolan's scores and contribution from midfield Barry Mahony looked sharp Still a bit of improvement in Kerry which will be required to win out the Joe McDonagh, might just be timing their run nicely

At least the county board won't have to worry about making an effort to cover it now...

Not a good result
Kerry have stumbled into the final
Hopefully a big performance can be pulled out of the bag but the team has looked stagant all year, look like a team that needs a new player\new face or two in a line or two of the field to freshen things up a bit
Padraig Boyle shot a few great scores which were a highlight and the penalty save by JB Hallaron was key to keep Meath at bay in the 1st half

Standard may not be very high but there is a lot to be said for the structure. At least the result in most games is in doubt till the end as the teams are pretty even.

A team full of talent named by the u20s. Giving Clare a fright mightn’t be out of the question although it’s hard to know. Would be a big boost for Kerry hurling if they give Clare a right rattle. Best of luck to all involved.
